@AliciaWhiskers thankyou. What do you take? Tsh was 3.5 (says "normal" but my own research suggests it could be a bit high) and the other one was 16 (think that one is okay?).

Zest11 · 06/08/2019 19:24

@KittyKatSmile Keith, thank you. Bloody hell you are on a lot aren't you! Shock Could a 3.5 be the cause of my "unexplained" infertility or is that unlikely? Also, does that mean that all my frozen embryos are doomed? (Unless it somehow naturally went lower whilst I was doing IVF).

Ginandtonic31 · 06/08/2019 19:47

I've just looked back at my TSH from a few years ago and it was 1.49. No idea what that means!!

So I'm back for a scan tomorrow as I've had more bleeding! I don't like being one of these awkward sods. I will have a chuffing album full of scan photos soon.

KittyKatSmile · 06/08/2019 19:50

My impression had always been that thyroid issues are a cause of miscarriage rather than infertility but a quick google says that I'm wrong so yes! It could be! 3.5 isn't bad; normal in the normal but something to just bring down. I think mine was 3 something. Has your doctor said they'll put you on levothyroxine? Progress is good, I'm feeling positive for you xx

@Ginandtonic31 that has made me scoff. Glad you're keeping your sense of humour. Good luck tomorrow. Could it be the haematoma playing up? Thinking of you x

Zest11 · 06/08/2019 19:59

@Ginandtonic31 that's a really good level and in the "optimum" range too. It's great that the clinic are proactive in seeing you. I guess bleeding common with the haem.... (sorry can't remember the long word!!)

@KittyKatSmile Arghh I hope it's just that! Not mentioned it to my doc...I have spent a long time googling and dug out some test results from 2 years ago that I thought I'd binned and spotted the thyroid figure there. I'm getting it redone next week anyway, along with the other Level 1 tests but I will definitely mention it to my consultant and hopefully she will give me something.

Ginandtonic31 · 06/08/2019 20:09

@Zest11 we can just call it haem. Or bruise 😂yes I think that's what they think it was. I don't think I'm too worried. I know that's there and the blood was minimal. I'm just not queasy anymore.

Although, omg I need to ask this. I'm struggling massively with dreams! Is it pregnancy or the progynova? Like not bad dreams but annoying dream after dream that have me tossing and turning and exhausted the next day.

Ginandtonic31 · 06/08/2019 20:11

@Zest11 also download the NHS app. I can pull up all my test results. I've also apparently found out I'm at risk of diabetes and should have an annual blood test. What the fuck?

Zest11 · 06/08/2019 20:38

@Ginandtonic31 I hope haem is not giving you too much grief and you will be pleasantly reassured tomorrow. Count your blessings about not feeling sick! Not sure about the dreams I'm afraid. What...high risk of diabetes...I guess that was never mentioned to you?! I just joined up to the app but I can't see test results, just current and past prescriptions. I keep meaning to ask, how is the counselling going at the fertility clinic or did you just have the 1 session?

Ginandtonic31 · 06/08/2019 21:27

@Zest11 I can't even work out why I would be at risk of diabetes!! It's nothing I've ever thought about.

I just had the one session.

Can you see anything under the consultation tab? I can even see the speculum number used at my last smear 😂

Welshpugmomma · 06/08/2019 22:07

Hey ladies,

Firstly @weenumpty that's so sad :( I'm so gutted to hear that, take some time for you and DH and look after eachother xx

Hope you other lassies are doing well :) ho

Zest11 · 06/08/2019 22:27

@Ginandtonic31 I know absolutely nothing about diabetes I'm afraid but that's very odd you haven't been told! Hahaha about the speculum number, that is so precise. I guess my area doesn't give such precise information as yours as mine is literally just some prescriptions from my GP. No mention of any blood tests or my infertility referral, maybe I'll ask.

Cauliflower82 · 07/08/2019 09:24

@Zest11 I remember when I moved and signed up to my new gp - they give me a form to sign and one question was ‘do you want to have access to your medical records online?’ Something along those lines. I ticked ‘no’ so maybe you need a form and to tick ‘yes’. I only ticked ‘no’ because I was incredibly ill three years ago and it would show access to my x rays and stuff and I have massive anxiety issues surrounding physical health so opted out under the instruction of my very kind gp who knows me way too well 😂 😂.

@Ginandtonic31 hope all goes well today :).

I am SO happy to see some sunshine ☀️ today!! I’m 7 weeks, 6 days today. When do you guys think I can book an early ultrasound and not need the probe anymore? Thank you. Hope you’re all well.

Ginandtonic31 · 07/08/2019 09:47

@Cauliflower82 my scan today is apparently abdominal and im 8+5. I would say from 9-10 weeks to be safe.

Zest11 · 07/08/2019 10:09

@Cauliflower82 Oh no, sorry to hear you were so unwell. I am glad you are okay now. Flowers I remember ticking the same box for anxiety reasons but I think I will see if I can change it so I can perform my own expert analysis GrinHmm.

@Ginandtonic31 Good luck today lovely, I hope you have another nice photo for the album Smile

Welshpugmomma · 07/08/2019 10:37

Hi hi, don't know what's going on last night I wrote a post and it glitched re wrote a nice long un and now I see the half written one is what posted! Bloody thing....

@Ginandtonic31 hope it goes okay today :) all my nausea is pretty much gone too the only thing left is my strong sense of smell!

Can't even remember what I wrote last night I seemed to be on a roll... Now my mind is blank!

I called gp on Monday they said a midwife will call me back to book an appointment, not sure how long I should give her as I'm getting impatient already lol and don't want to fall behind as I won't have much time before I have to go!

@Cauliflower82 think u jinxed the weather now, more rain here; then again it is rainy Wales ;)

Ginandtonic31 · 07/08/2019 11:37

@Zest11 I'm nosey so I've analysed all my notes already 😂

Scan went ok. Baby is measuring a day behind but I think that's ok. Heamatoma still there doing its thing 😂 so no dtd or swimming for another 3 weeks! And they could see a heartbeat on the abdominal one. No photo for the album. Hmph.

Cauliflower82 · 07/08/2019 11:44

@Ginandtonic31 excellent news :). I was measuring 6 days behind on my 7 week scan - is that bad? I’d not really thought about it.

@Welshpugmomma oh no, bring back the sunshine

@Zest11 thank you ☺️ I’m totally fine now in that dept

Morning sickness horrendous today and a wedding to go to on Friday 😭

Ginandtonic31 · 07/08/2019 13:34

@Cauliflower82 it only concerned me as at 7 weeks I was measuring a day ahead.

CornishMaid1 · 07/08/2019 13:35

@Weenumpty I am so sorry for your loss. You are living through my, and probably everyone else's, worst nightmare. I have no words other than that we are here for you if you need us.

@Ginandtonic31 Sorry to hear you had more bleeding but glad everything was okay on the scan. These haems are a nightmare and so worrying.

@Cauliflower82 Hope the morning sickness eases. I measured a couple of days behind on my 7 week scan and then she re-measured and was only a day behind. The nurse said it was nothing to worry too much about as it is such early days - at my 7 week scan she was only 0.88mm long, so they only have to be at a little angle to make the measurement off when there are only fractions of millimetres in it.

mouse1234567 · 07/08/2019 15:06

Hi all-I found you-thanks for the tag.

@Weenumpty I was so sad to hear your post -how absolutely devastating to have a late loss. I’m really thinking of you - take your time to heal.

@Zest11 I’m glad you are getting plans in place and looking into things that might be the cause like your thyroid. I hope you are feeling ok after the negative a few weeks ago. I find time has helped me -but it’s up and down.

@Ginandtonic31 sorry to hear about the high risk for diabetes -did they take bloods from you? Do you have PCOS- if so I think that puts you more at risk.

All is good with me -actually I’m having a pretty lovely time -two weeks into my school holidays and feeling very relaxed. I really feel like my old self and it’s rather nice not have to think too much about IVF and enjoy all the things we aren’t meant to do. I did have my nurse protocol yesterday though -and I reckon I will get my period in about a week and then downreg on day 14 of next cycle for FET 2. I also persuaded the nurse for me to get an endo scratch as I had that last time and there was implantation so just want to try everything I can for my last NHS one-though I know there is no strong evidence to show it helps. It’s a strange mix of wanting to start and not wanting too. Anyway -I’m off to sunny Greece for lots of ouzo and halloumi and having a self imposed ttc ban so wishing everyone of you all the best until next week x

KittyKatSmile · 07/08/2019 15:21

@mouse1234567 so good to hear from you and that you are getting things in place. Enjoy Greece; that sounds perfect right now! Enjoy every bit of ouzo!

@mouse1234567 so lovely to hear such a happy update. Have you been to Greece before? I absolutely love it, and of course the food. Have a super relaxing time, you totally deserve it! I know what you mean about time helping wanting to start and also not again. I am perfectly happy when I'm not thinking about it but when I do it becomes so hard. The summer holidays are great though and lots of relaxation can only be good for us. Have a fantastic time away and drop us a post when you are back :) xxxx

Cauliflower82 · 07/08/2019 17:09

Thanks everyone for the reassurances - six days does seem like a lot and now I don’t know why I didn’t ask anyone about it earlier. Oh well, no point worrying about it now I guess. Hopefully Pip has grown more.

@mouse1234567 it’s so good to hear from you and to hear you sounding so positive too. I hope you have a lovely two weeks in Greece 🇬🇷 Xx

Ginandtonic31 · 07/08/2019 17:50

@Cauliflower82 if they were concerned they would have said or had you back the week after to check growth. A mm can make all the difference. Have you another scan scheduled?

@mouse1234567 👋🏻 I completely get what you mean by being ok when not thinking about it and getting on as normal. It's so much nicer than the constant worry of it. I'm very jealous of your holiday (and alcohol!!). I need a holiday!!
