IVF March/April

Hi ladies
I’m hoping to find a cycle buddy or anyone who has been through IVF before. We are due to have our appointment for our plan at the end of next week and I just wanted to hear any stories/advice anyone may have as my mind is very busy with questions.
A little background from me, I’m 28 and been trying to conceive for 3 years now. Last year I was diagnosed with severe endometriosis which sadly affected both of my tubes. I’ve had them removed in November and all endo has been removed. We have been told the chances of conception are against us due to the severity of my condition but I’m holding onto hope. Are there any ladies who have similar stories who can give me a little encouragement? I’m quite nervous to start IVF but excited at the idea this could be our chance!

@Hopigforbabyd thanks re my numbers. try not to worry re the heavy period -I certainly had one-all the meds just mess us up even further! I hope you are managing the pain ok-endo is so grim! Good luck with your injection -you know what they are never fun but equally they aren’t too bad and just keep your eyes on the prize. You will feel really proud of yourself once you have done it. Us IVF ladies are tough. To be honest I’m feeling fairly grim after EC-crampy, sick and tired -the consultant said it’s just all the follicles full with liquid or something and because I had a lot I will really feel it?! Anyway he didn’t seem worried -although was pleased I wasn’t having a fresh transfer.

Speaking of which, it's quite ironic we're doing this journey at Easter seeing as though it was originally to worship the goddess of fertility, hence the eggs haha

Well done @hopingforbabyd I do actually think the most worrying thing with injections is making sure you do it right and get it all in quickly rather than the needle! Brilliant work!

Have just be saying to my DH how lovely it is to be doing this at Easter!

Thank you @mouse1234567 that’s definitely what I was most anxious about. It’s a lovely time to be doing ivf isn’t it. Spring is the start of new beginnings 😉

@2019isouryear It’s definitely hard to know whether you’re doing it right, and even harder to know if it’s working.

I have my next scan on Monday. It’s a bank holiday, so much easier than a working day.

Scan done which has helped me relax.

@2019isouryear I reckon they will, you'll go for your scan and arrange collection for Wednesday, with mine the hospital I went to for collection called later on with time to do the trigger and appointment time for the Wednesday. Fingers crossed for you for Monday, it's getting close now!!

My baseline scan is booked for a few hours time. Nothing has gone right in 3.5 years so I'm fully expecting not to start today. There will be another cyst or my lining won't be thin enough, something will come up I'm sure. We will see.
