Had all the tests and finally got the go-ahead today (a prescription and letter in the post!) So bit of a surprise. Will be starting on CD2 in about 4 days time hopefully.

Scared, excited, nervous.

Hiya, just wondering if anyone had experience of using the clear blue advanced ovulation test when using clomid?

This is my second cycle on clomid and I’m not getting monitored from now on since my progesterone on cycle 1 showed I ovulated

Iv had 5 days of flashing smiley face (high fertility) since cycle day 9. The leaflet says you might get more high fertility days on clomid but it shouldn’t affect when/if you get a peak fertility reading (static smiley face)

Had a follicular scan today, first cycle of clomid. They weren't sure if I would respond and said as my cycles were irregular I'd probably need to come back for more scans. CD14 today, and apparently my right ovary looks like it has released two eggs. That's good, but DH and I didn't DTD after Sun/Mon as I wasn't feeling great and didn't expect to ovulate that early! Have never ovulated before CD16 I don't think. Still, should be grateful I've responded to it I suppose.

Had an awful nosebleed today which I haven't had for ages, and two painful IBS bouts during the night in the last week. Has anyone else had side effects around ovulation time? I didn't seem to have any when I took the tablets.

So had my cd 21 bloods done today fingers crossed I've ovulated hate all the waiting how long did it take people to get their results?

@debbie2901 I had my day 21 bloods on the Friday and rang Monday morning and spoke to the nurse who gave me my results. So it was pretty quick. Each area seems to vary so much though

As my progesterone was 60 on cycle 1, they don’t test me again. Just get on with it for the next 5 cycles. Or hopefully less if I get pregnant

@Clarence58 I am so impatient I want to know the results like yesterday and be pregnant this cycle lol I know it doesn't work like that but feel I've been trying for like forever

So I'm on day 29 and no sign of AF. Cycles are normally bang on 28 days. Brought some pregnancy tests with the shopping last night and couldn't resist doing one straight away. BFN of course. Absolutely gutted as I had so many symptoms this cycle. It just felt different but I obviously got my hopes up too high

@confused107 I can imagine that is so frustrating I'm only on my first cycle and feel like giving up! What cycle are you on? I have 2 other children will an ex partner and I got pregnant straight away. I feel that stress has been a big part for me and obviously I'm older no at 35 but it's so frustrating when all you want is a baby not asking for much right??🤷‍♀️

Hi @Debbie2901 This is my 4th cycle and it's felt so different. I'm 37 and never been pregnant before. DH has no children either
It's tough keeping going. One more cycle then IVF for us

@confused107 aww I can't imagine I have felt different this month I've not been ovulating now for about 2 years had all the tests no menopause so that's good, but I always used to get ovulation pain around ovulation and this is the first time in 2 years I have had signs so I'm hoping my bloods come back I have ovulated and there is a chance. my other half hasn't got any children and I know he really wants them he says if it doesn't happen he's fine with it but I know he will be gutted they won't give me any more treatment after these 6 cycles as I have children already so I guess this is our only chance

@confused107 my first cylce of clomind made me have pregnant feeling it made me a week late it gets your hopes up all the time it sucks xx

@Debbie2901 fingers crossed this works for you. I know we are lucky to be offered IVF, but I'm very nervous about it and know that statistically with my age the odds are not in our favour

@Clarence58, I wouldn’t bother with the CB ovulation stuff. I tried it on my first cycle and I ovulated the same day I first got a flashing face, I was fuming because I felt like I wasted the first month and didn’t bd in time. I couldn’t while I was ovulating because it felt like I’d been disembowelled 😭

@confused107, i normally have 25 day cycles but on clomid it has been 29/30 days, I got my hopes up too at first.

@laurenita yeah I don’t think I’m going to bother next cycle. Just try to have sex every other day until my husband goes back away for work which is on cycle day 18. My cycles are 28 days so I’m hoping it should all work out

Ps I stopped acupuncture this cycle. My acupuncturist said there really wasn’t much else she could do for me since my cycles have always been pretty regular. She said she could work with any bad clomid symptoms but so far Iv been pretty lucky and have felt pretty much the same

Iv felt a bit more emotional but in relation to having loads of pregnancy announcement from close friends and family recently which had been hard

Ooh after sending that message earlier I tested again this afternoon using the clear blue ovulation test and Iv got the static smiley face woohoo.

I shouted downstsirs too my husband ‘ooh it’s peak fertility on my monitor’, he replied ‘do you need me right now. Iv just started painting the skirting board’ . I told him no, it wasn’t quite that urgent haha

How long are everyone's cycles when on Clomid? Mine were 35-39 days but my consultant told me they should be 28 days on Clomid. Not sure. I haven't had my day 21 bloods back yet as he's been off. Currently on cd27 and trying not to get my hopes up. Would help if I knew for definite if i have ovulated.

Yeah I heard that clomid is meant to shorten your cycles if they were long pre clomid.

Mine were 28-31 days before clomid, so pretty regular. My first month on clomid was 28 days. This month is cycle 2 and I got my positive ovulation test on day 14 so I imagine it’s going to be 28 days again. So for me, not hugely different to what they were pre clomid

Pre clomid my cycles were around 25/26 days but have been 28 on the nose on clomid for the last week here months

But this month I'm all out...day 30 and another BFN! I'm just waiting for the next cycle to begin so that I can book in my acupuncture etc and just get on with it!

@confused107 @Clarence58 thanks for your replies. I guess just the waiting game now. I'm going to start acupuncture too, heard good things! I had a course of reflexology which was lovely and relaxing but obviously not bfp yet lol

@Willowjasmine im on my first cycle cd23 so not sure what to ecpect i had my bloods fri so im going to ring and see if my results are back tommorw, im trying my best to forget the days to be honest i dont gey anymore tests from here on in so might try the ovulation sticks next month if no bfp

@Debbie2901 we are in the same boat then! I'm the same trying not to count! Failing miserably. I hope you get good results! I'm hoping I get a phone call tomorrow. I don't have any of my pmt symptoms yet but I'm more inclined to think the Clomid hasn't worked so I'm not due yet, rather than being pregnant. How have you been feeling?

@Willowjasmine i have felt like i ovulated i had all the symptoms but who knows, this last couple of days i had quite a bit of discharge so not sure what that means
