Ooh snow!! How exciting!! It's just bloody cold here, hence I'm still in my dressing gown and snuggled under a blanket on the sofa!

Have a lovely day in Brighton Jam!

Congrats* on the transfer struggle, keeping everything crossed for you for the next two weeks! Same to you gizmo and welcome to the thread.* So many people in the TWW at the moment, hopefully we'll have lots of good news over the next few weeks!

How exciting that you were able to start so quickly flora, wishing you lots of luck too!

Hope you're feeling a bit better today sk1pper Thanks

All the talk of injections has helpfully reminded me that I need to take my two weekly arthritis injection today so thank you! I'm hopeful that 5 years of injecting myself will help when it comes to the IVF...

sk1pper · 25/11/2017 09:36

Welcome Gizmo xx

Flora - wow that must have been a complete whirlwind. Really great that you get to try something whilst your waiting for your IVF. If you don’t mind me asking, how much will the IUI cost you? I’m glad your boss was so understanding, I’ll have to have this discussion with mine very soon. She handled me going home yesterday with period pain very well, I said I’d come back to work once it had ended but she just told me to take the whole day.

Struggle - congratulations! Another among us who is PUPO, I am expecting great announcements before Christmas. We’re due some more luck on this thread soon surely. Good luck hon xx

Lemon - I’m so used to seeing my pet that colour now that I forgot it used to to be any other colour 😂

Kwick - I’m not on instagram. Is it really worth me signing up for it? The only social media I use is Twitter.

Hep - don’t know if I’m a fan of snow or not. Because I walk 2 miles to and from work 5 days a week, I’m not. At the weekend it’s absolutely fine. I like being all snuggly in my house when it’s cold though.

sk1pper · 25/11/2017 09:39

Kath - I’m much better today thanks, still a bit of cramping but that should be it for another 26 days now. I’ve just got to contend with a heavy flow now...meant to be going Xmas shopping today and I’m forcing myself to go. I won’t let it be the boss of me. I’m wearing a pad, tampon and 2 pairs of knickers 😂 that should do it!!

kwick · 25/11/2017 09:46

Great quote jamon! Enjoy your day in Brighton!
Fanks for posting my tips again 😘 can you believe I forgot to eat my last piece of pineapple yesterday?!!!

Wow skipper!!! A two mile walk every day!!! I am impressed!!

kwick · 25/11/2017 09:51

polkadotpixie · 25/11/2017 13:52

Wow this thread moves fast!

Thank you all for the warm welcome & it's lovely to meet everyone Smile

Congratulations to those currently PUPO, I have my fingers crossed for super sticky embryos!

I will go through properly later, just on my lunch at the moment and quickly checking in

HepKestrel · 25/11/2017 16:58

Well, just a dusting of snow.... But after some shopping in town, we have the wood burning stove and open fire lit, and am wrapped in my dressing gown next to GrumpyOldCat.

Meant to be cold all week.

In other news.... Positive opk today....

struggleisreal · 25/11/2017 18:08

We must remember Flying Spaghetti Monster for the next thread title.

kwick OTD is actually Saturday 9th - so 15 days post 3 day transfer!! I am planning on testing on the Friday as I have the day off to mope and cry..and then hubby and I are going to go away somewhere for the weekend. I have a busy week that week at work so happy not to test earlier and to keep the dream alive...but obviously worried about bleeding early as I do tend to spot before my period.

On that note I have had some spotting today but I'm assuming that's just from egg collection as it was only 4 days ago.

Ah jam we had a day out at the seaside too, other end of the country though as we went to Whitby. It was lovely and sunny but very cold - hope you've had a nice day.

flora great news that you boss was so understanding - it will make it a lot easier with appointments and you never know you might bond over it?

hep we had a dusting overnight in Yorkshire...didn't last long though!

kath you will definitely be a pro with the injections!

skip hope you had a great day Christmas shopping! I still need to start mine!

planegazer · 25/11/2017 18:20

Smiling at this ☺️☺️☺️

Luckily I wasn’t anywhere near Oxford Circus although it did mean I had to get the river bus to the o2 as the tubes were on halt.

Went and saw kinky boots the musical today. Would totally recommend it to everyone it’s fantastic!!!! Although I do have an affinity with the story as its local to me.

I’m definitely not geared up for london my feet hurt!!

Congrats to everyone who is pupo. Fingers crossed for some good news soon. I also think fertile omelette needs to be in the next title!!!

I just want to say if I ever get to the point of needed ivf etc I am still not sure its for me but you ladies are definitely helping me realise its not as bad as I think. I just really want it to be January already so that I can ask the consultant if its okay. Its really hard especially fw as I now get so much ewcm it’s crazy and knowing it’s wasted is really starting to get to me.

florafoxtrot · 25/11/2017 22:58

That made me smile too Plane - anyone else thinking about getting one of those pins?

You never know Struggle - but I think her knowing is a good thing as she will know I've got other reasons to be sad not just her poor promotion choices 😂

It'll be Jan before you know it Basset - how are you feeling overall? Know you'd pretty immediate changes in terms of energy levels etc. but have you noticed anything else?

Hope you had a good day in Brighton Jam - I've never been!

Don't mind at all Skipper - we are playing just over £1000 for the medicated IUI. It's a lot but so far the feeling of control is doing me a lot of good - and here we get 3 cycles of IVF on the NHS so hopefully out of all this, we might get some success. I hope that doesn't sound entitled, we are certainly not rich!

Urgh snow. It's all very pretty and all but I'm in narnia NE Scotland - so get a bit sick of it!

Loving all the inspiration for future thread titles. You know you've a good bunch when there are so many in jokes.

OverinaFlash · 25/11/2017 23:01

I think the next thread title should be "we've tried it all and now we're hoping the flying spaghetti monster will impregnate us with his noodly appendage"

I had the most gorgeous bamboo massage, and yes kwick it involved bamboo sticks, not lotion made of bamboo as I had thought! I'm booked for reflexology in Jan, hoping she can work on my womble and related bits!

polkadotpixie · 26/11/2017 05:20

Plane, I love those pins...I might try and find one Smile

Flash, I've been having fertility reflexology for about 4 or 5 months now. Obviously I'm not pregnant yet but it's really helped with my stress & anxiety and I always feel better after I've been so would definitely recommend it.

Has anyone tried fertility acupuncture? I'm scared of needles but willing to give anything a go at this point!

Jamon · 26/11/2017 10:21

Kath you'll be an injecting pro. When I'm being a wuss about the injections I remind myself of people who have things like diabetes and have to inject all the time. It's really not that bad.

I am finding cetrotide such a faff though! I hate getting the needles on and off, the caps are really fiddly and I get paranoid drawing the fluid up that I'm not getting it all. Actually injecting it is probably the easiest bit!

Skipper an IUI with our hospital would have been just under £1000. Think it can vary a little depending on how much of the drugs you need. Hope AF is subsiding now and you made a good start on your Xmas shopping

Hep that sounds so cosy. I really want a real fire!

Ahh struggle I love Whitby. There's something so lovely about being wrapped up at the seaside on a cold sunny day.

Basset hopefully you can give things a really good go at conceiving naturally once your thyroid is under control and you won't have to cross the IVF bridge x

Flash spaghetti monster thread title is a great shout. Hope you're feeling a bit better this weekend?

Polka I've heard really good things about reflexology. I can't really justify paying for that and acupuncture though - and I'm really loving acupuncture and my acupuncturist is so good. If you can find one specialising in fertility I would highly recommend it.

Had a lovely day out in Brighton with DH. We got the train early and saw the beautiful big Xmas tree in st Pancras. Did a big craft fair when we got there and then wondered around the lanes going into all the lovely shops, in and out of coffee shops. Had lunch at the coal shed which was really nice , plus a glass of wine which was a treat, then walked along the sea shore as the sun was setting. It was really relaxing. I felt quite sad coming home - the injections are a reminder and DH has gone away for a few days now - but I did really enjoy yesterday getting away and having some time together.

Happy Sunday ladies. Just placemarking as following the new thread and don't want to lose you all!

planegazer · 26/11/2017 10:38

polka I've got my first acupuncture session tomo with someone who my consultant recommended. He gave me two names of which Emma Cannon was one but I've gone with the other lady first....will report back!

I'm a little hungover today 😳 only had 5 drinks but I now feel so guilty for drinking at all. 😞 we've decided to not drink at all when treatment starts in jan but I feel like if I give it up completely its another infertility win over my life......

Congrats to all who are currently pupo!! It's all go on this thread at the min! Very exciting xx

@Lemonylem I haven't done Cambridge diet but never heard about avoiding vitamin a whilst ttc, only when pregnant. I eat pate and loads of shellfish and a lot of sushi and we have had a bottle of wine a day per person easily whilst on holiday if not more and honestly wouldn't think too much about it. If in doubt ask a doctor but after over 2 years I'd say DO NOT PUT YOUR LIFE ON HOLD!! Probably more important to get the weight off than any vitamin a issues but I'm no expert - seek medical advice - maybe call your future clinic and ask which is more important to them? Mine are lovely and answer any questions at all.

KerryLeanne84 · 26/11/2017 18:52

Thanks for the offer to give my OH a slap Kwick I may take you up on that one day!

Congrats Struggle on being pupo! Fingers crossed

Sk1pper I really like Instagram! I use it more than any other social media now.

Flash excellent title idea and I'm glad that I've introduced you all to his holy noodliness!

An IUI at our NHS hospital was £1000 too - well, £975. At the care clinic it was more like £1500.

Sounds like an amazing day in Brighton Jam! Glad you had a lovely time.

I've found a fertility acupuncture lady near me - at what point in your cycle do you tend to have it? I'd like to see if she can increase the blood flow to my uterus to see if it can help with the lining.

In other news, we're going to Milan on Saturday! I've been very 'fuck it' with money since the miscarriage so we saw some cheap flights and off we pop. Going to the christmas market and just planning to eat a lot of pizza mainly!

kwick · 27/11/2017 08:03

basset so pleased you enjoyed your jaunt to the big smoke!

I still don't know what the flying Spaghetti Monster is 😬

flash so glad you enjoyed your massage.

jamon Cetrotide is a complete bastard - so so fiddly 🤬
So glad you had a nice day out in Brighton.

lemony I am not strong enough to do substitution diets - that is why SW has been good for me - you still eat normal food. That said I have plateaued - I really need to make a bigger effort again, just have found change of season really hard (just do not fancy lots of fruit at the mo).

kerry how cultured of you to pop over to Milan!!! Hope you have a great time!!!

Happy Monday everyone!
Only 3 days to my Beta and 7 until I see the puppy!!!!

Kathrino · 27/11/2017 09:31

Sounds like everyone had a lovely weekend! We had a nice chilled out one and did lots of sorting out of the flat in preparation for getting overly excited about Christmas as soon as December hits! Our rule is once we get to the 28 November (ie tomorrow!!) we can start thinking about Christmas; we're both working from home tomorrow so we plan to have the Christmas music blaring all day!

Lemony, I've never done the Cambridge diet but it is a pretty low calorie diet isn't it? My concern would be whether you're getting enough calories to keep your cycle going...I say that because when I've been super busy and not eaten enough, my cycle sometimes goes a bit bonkers but that may not be an issue for you. But I agree totally with gee around not putting your life on hold, I eat plenty of Vit A heavy foods.

KerryLeanne84 · 27/11/2017 11:14

Wow your beta is so soon Kwick! Fingers crossed
