Hey super ovulators and those struggling with infertility after miscarriage this is where we are! Come on over ...

Duggs I am pretty much some protocol as you, intralipids, clexane, aspirin, 25mg pred, vitsmin D, pregnacare max. Only difference is I started off with Gestone injections instead if cyclogest which I am going back to when I can get some needles and syringes.

Arianrhod · 10/09/2013 14:22

Do you feel the gestone injections are better then pebbles? It's a dilemma I'm having, if I EVER get to my next cycle, whether to bite the bullet and go for the injections (it's the thought of the pain of an IM injection that made me baulk at it with the last cycle) or stick with cyclogest, even if it means I have to have 4 cyclogest a day!! :)

Duggs

1st mc was a molar pg
2nd chromosome
3rd, 4th, 5th straight mc's (no treatment)
6 mc (asprin, fragmin and vits)
7th DS asprin, fragmin, vits and 25 pred. No issues with nkc's at this point.
8th, 9th, 10th mc asprin, vits 25 pred. Fragmin was dropped from treatment.
VHKC was then diagnosed

11th mc asprin, vits but pred upped to 40. Still mc but at 8 weeks plus 5 days i.e. I got further than any previous.
12th DS same as you apart from 40 pred and perhaps crucially Hydroxy. Hydroxy has been part of the treatment for a few successes on here. Also I went back on fragmin (blood thinner up until 7 weeks pg)

Hope this helps.

duggs1976 · 10/09/2013 14:42

Thanks abbey and free and ari v interesting as I wasn't on hydroxy. I am having an ERPC tomorrow afternoon so hopefully will be able to test fetus. I am also getting NK cells re tested tomorrow morning. Choccy you were on hydroxy for this one weren't you ? Anything else different for you choccy?

I'm on or rather was on 25 Pred plus omeprazole - last one Friday and I cannot wait. And hydroxy aspirin vits and omega 3 and 50ug vit d3.

I cut dairy out from January when I found I was lactose intolerant after getting norovirus in December. My totally unproven theory is that if I was already lactose intolerant my body must've been fighting against all the dairy I used to eat and maybe that put me out of balance to such an extent it messed with other things too. Who knows.

I also took about 400mg resveratrol (amount varied from 500-200 I think as time went on and I tapered off it on bfp) from January to bfp in July with a view to reducing my TNF alpha as the Humira would've run out by then. I also took agnus castus for just under three months ending at bfp as my cycle was a bit weird when it came back after my last mc in December.

So in terms of variables since last pg only the extraneous stuff - diet, resveratrol, a castus - not the Mr S regime. I still think that it's the whole shebang that has to be in sync- ie where's your head at, did you catch a good egg, is your body balanced, has some pita at work given you norovirus.... And are you taking all the drugs and supplements that will help your body do the right thing?? I have to say I've felt surprisingly relaxed throughout this pg (long may it continue and may I not end up eating these words) and I really think that helps. Maybe my subconscious knew this one would beat the NKCs. Maybe the hypnotherapy really did flick a switch and prevented the usual bfp-terror? Again who knows.

HTH!

Buzzybee123 · 10/09/2013 19:06

duggs for this cycle, I was on hydroxy 200mgs, pred 25 mgs from EC, progesterone 400 mgs vit D and aspirin, I had intralipids on day of EC and then a week after BFP. I had alot of spotting so my clinic reluctantly gave me agolutan to inject, there is great debate about how much extra progesterone helps, I just wanted to take everything to make it work.

thinking of you

ChoccyPud · 10/09/2013 19:35

Oh, forgot cyclogest. Oops!

suemays · 10/09/2013 20:40

seems like hydroxy is the common extra drug that we have taken in successful pregnancies (passed 12 weeks).

duggs1976 · 10/09/2013 21:28

VERY interesting - how many mc on the standard dr s did you gave guys?

OP posts:
Mel3062 · 11/09/2013 00:42

That gives me abit of hope now to a new pregnancy I'm on restravatol and hydroxy to my mix oh and dhea. Just need the positive test and successful bit!!

Mel3062 · 11/09/2013 00:44

Duggs thinking of you, where are you having erpc and levels tested? I wish I knew my levels now a year and a bit on x

duggs1976 · 11/09/2013 07:10

I'm on my way to doctor lab in wimple street now £230 Cheryl at NLC organised. If they do come back raised despite being on pred and intrallipids and clexane the past 6 weeks then I will need to revisit and consider adding hudroxy or whatever else the NK cells program has these days. Don't know much about neurprogen or whatever it's called?
My ERPC is being done at my local hospital they know me now as is my 4th ERPC.
It does give me some hope that this was either chromosomal or I have high Nk cells that just need further treatment to work. I hope at least one of these is identified as the issue.

ChoccyPud · 11/09/2013 07:16

Hope all goes as well as these things can Duggs. Have you thought about asking whether its worth you having a hysteroscopy after you've healed from this mc and ERPC? Just a thought. Might be worth having a look in there to check for scarring or whatever - erpc's can leave scarring - and/or to look for other potential causes?

duggs1976 · 11/09/2013 07:31

Do you mean at the same time? I had a hysteroscopy under st Mary's last January but I guess that is a while ago now?

OP posts:
duggs1976 · 11/09/2013 07:33

I also had all gorgys tests for hidden infections etc that are based on uterine biopsies. How many mc did you have on dr s plan choccy before this success ?

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 11/09/2013 07:35

Hope all goes ok today Duggs, am thinking of you.

duggs1976 · 11/09/2013 07:37

Thanks pebbles! Smile

OP posts:
ChoccyPud · 11/09/2013 10:28

Nope once your cycle is back I meant.

I have had 3 mc on treatment. This pg isn't a success until I'm holding a baby. But I know what you mean.

duggs1976 · 11/09/2013 10:41

Yes i get you choccy. So 3 mc on treatment but this time you added hydroxy?! X

OP posts:
ChoccyPud · 11/09/2013 10:51

No I've been on hydroxy since after the first mc on treatment. See my post of yday for what changes this time re diet ttc

duggs1976 · 11/09/2013 11:05
