Thanks Duggs; and re. the popping off for IVF with a sperm donor, I won't say it hasn't crossed my mind. To be honest, when my husband didn't want us to ttc at all, I was even looking at the milkman for his spermatic potential!

Arianrhod · 06/09/2013 12:17

pebbles I feel for you, it's a horrible place to be in. So hope that this works out, despite the shaky start!

lol brown ... you have no idea how tempting the popping off for IVF thought is! Not too sure about the milkman, though :)

Pebbles73 · 06/09/2013 12:43

Thanks ladies, yes had another blood test and go back for scan next Thursday,x

brownstag · 06/09/2013 12:52

So when do you get the results of the blood test, Pebbles?

Pebbles73 · 06/09/2013 14:10

Blood test from yesterday has come back now at 910 do neatly tripled since Monday!

Arianrhod · 06/09/2013 14:49

Fantastic news long may it continue! Umm I was hopeful with nlc for poss ivf if I ever get any money ( lucies off to uni now so doubt it!) but now not so sure!!
Those of you who saw dr gorgy did you have to see him after bloods for the results? If so how long after was it that you had to go again??

duggs1976 · 06/09/2013 16:34

Yes when results came in we went back was pretty quick a matter of weeks we saw him first last may had tests and as soon as they were back we went back early June. Had treatment in July and got re tested and were both clear and that was it. Didn't need to go back.

OP posts:
duggs1976 · 06/09/2013 16:38

Hasten to add our treatment was 1 month long so all of July and then we had to wait a month to ensure anti biotics had worked so re tested in August. DH had to re test after 3 mths as that is how long it takes for new sperm to be produced. So he was re tested in November. I got pg in December but chemical because by then my thyroid was &£cked up due to super ov and steroids. But 6 mths TCM has balanced all that. Are you seeing him soon?

duggs1976 · 06/09/2013 16:45

Ohh just called up about the £180 package it is now £400 Hmm ummm unsure what to do now. Can I do the harmony test if my NHS test comes back high risk ? I guess not.

OP posts:
Mel3062 · 06/09/2013 17:59

Thanks duggs hoping to see him. At half term. What was the £180 package? How are you? When's your scan? X

duggs1976 · 06/09/2013 18:33

Oh I got muddled up on my threads. I was asking choccy about the harmony tests but they are now £400 was £180 in August only. HmmGlad you are seeing him.

Thank you all still could be ectopic so fingers crossed it isn't but at least my hcg is now at normal levels for my weeks. Going back to Epu for a scan Monday as they seem keen to make sure is in the right place. Just got to try and stay calm an relaxed. Choccy defo feeling more positive at least there is hope now.

Duggs very peed off to put it mildly with that nurse at NL! I even stopped taking most of my drugs over last weekend and was cleaning the bathroom etc!! I understand they need to be realistic with you but ffs indeed!! If only had spoken to the nurse who I phoned this week!

Was also wonderingvwhstcthus package is Duggs and when is next scan?

duggs1976 · 06/09/2013 19:39

Good for you pebbles. Jesus. We deserve more than a baby at the end of all this ladies. They'd better all be amazingly easy children and people for the next 50 yrs. the scan package was something choccy talked about on pred thread at fetal medical centre where they had an offer for viability scan, harmony blood test to test for chromosomal things and nucal scan all for 180 quid. It is now back to 400 pounds so a bit much. Guess I would do if I got that far and got a high risk factor which no doubt I will. Anyway to even get that far would be nice. You take it easy pebbles this weekend. 900 HCG is v good news. I keep thinking about it over and over and can't believe your weekend last week. Looking forward now x

Good luck pebbles, they saw something in the right place so it's looking promising! It's still early days to see much anyway but sounds good!! Duggs isn't letting on when her scan is Hun obviously ;) don't blame her!
Thanks duggs, wow that's some price hike- terrible :(

ChoccyPud · 06/09/2013 21:10

Ouch that is a bit of a harder decision to make. £180 was a no brainer I have to say. Sorry Duggs I didn't realise it was an offer.

You have to have harmony at about 10 weeks when its between 32-42mm CRL so they are pretty precise about timing. So not something you can go back to later.

Pebbles if its a good one it'll be absolutely fine even with being subjected to a bit of housework. But do take it easy again now while you wait for more definite news :)

duggs1976 · 06/09/2013 23:26

Oh no ladies I don't know when my next scan is. By NHS standards waiting for my booking in app and privately... Don't know. #scaredsostilldeciding

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 07/09/2013 00:26

It has been a real roller coaster of a week!!

How many weeks are you now choccy and .Duggs?

duggs1976 · 07/09/2013 06:45

Well choccy will tell you over 13 and all good with her!GrinGrin
I'm just over 9 wks - nothing wrong as far as I can tell haven't had a scan since 7 wks so no idea what's happening in there now. Contemplating when to have next one if at all before NHS 12 wks. Probably will but scared to.
I hope you have a settled weekend and your Baby can get comfy in there to grow nice and strong. So much info is mind blowing. I even looked up then scans were invented and it was 1950's not widely used until 1970s. Our grandmothers would have had none of this. Just pregnant and giving birth 40 wks later.

OP posts:
Pebbles73 · 07/09/2013 11:23

Wow the time seems to have gone quickly although for you I am sure it has dragged by! Think you will hold out until 12 wks??? Smile

Sometimes I think the Internet is a curse and I am trying to stay away from to much googling!

duggs1976 · 07/09/2013 11:43

Based on LMP what dates would you be now pebbles?
