Dupex, choccy- now I'm 5wk3days pregnant with my 6th pregnancy. My 3 beta HCG readings have been v positive and I've read up a lot on the link between these and pregnancy outcomes (over 20wks) so am hopeful. We have a scan at st Mary's EPU on Wednesday morning I'll be 5+6 wks so should see a hb if my hcg readings are anything to go by? Still early days. Just read about mollie on other thread - horrific - but I guess as sue and others can vouch the worrying just morphs into the next stage and being a parent I guess never ends? Great news choccy so pleased for you.
Dupex I hope you get to transfer this one today - if so then you have as good a chance as anyone doing IVF which is higher than a natural cycle. If it didn't survive then pls don't give up hope as this embryos survival isn't correlated to the other hurdles you have had to over come.

Thanks for all the info Buzzy, so am I correct in saying I could get the intralipids from Greece without a prescription but I would need a prescription to be able to get them administered? Would you be able to let me know the place you got them from in Greece?
I am seeing Mr Gafar for ivf and asked one of the nurses about intralipids so will ask him directly.

Amazing news Choccy so happy for you. Smile

Good luck today Dupek, hope this one is a fighter.

I have had egg collection confirmed for Monday, sitting around feeling very bloated and uncomfortable at the mo and looking forward to getting to the next stage.

dupek73 · 10/08/2013 12:45

Congratulations Duggs and Choccy on your growing babies. :) It must be amazing to experience normal pregnancy. This time everything will be fine for you and one day for all of us.

Unfortunately, the egg did not split and they call me to cancel ET when I was about 100 yards away from the front door. Sad. I am trying to keep positive and have another go with Gorgy(I am worried about the cost though).
Good luck Pebbles for Monday. How exciting!

I have just read your posts about intralipids , I would also buy them . I wonder if they have IVIG as well ?

suemays · 10/08/2013 14:20

pebbles I have the contact details of a private nurse who works in all the big ivf clinics who would do the intrallipids in your home for £100. I can pm you her details if you like? You would still need the prescription though. Zita west charge £160 for intrallipids but you have to be a patient of theirs!

suemays · 10/08/2013 14:23

The other thing to consider is that you would normally have a scan first to check all is ok before doing intrallipids. You wouldn't be able to do that if having ILs at home or independent nurses.

brownstag · 10/08/2013 15:21

Good luck everyone, Duggs on Wednesday, pebbles on Monday, and Dupek for your next cycle. Sorry to hear about what you've been going through, Dupek, but better luck next time.
Your comment about the other thread, Duggs, made me realise I have completely lost track of where the other thread is. What is the link please? Thanks

Mel3062 · 10/08/2013 17:25

Hi ladies I'm back and just catching up with everything.
Though have come back to a power cut so had to bin all my freezer food :(
Mexico was amazing though, what a beach!
Duggs great to here all is going well with you.pebbles good luck with ec how exciting! Good luck dupek too sorry to hear your story.
Read a book whilst away called "two week wait" I never read books but this one was heartwarming. It was about 2 ladies needing ivf and egg sharing. If anyone would like it I'd gladly pass it on as I felt one of you ladies might appreciate the read rather than leaving it at the hotel.
Very interesting about the blood I am a strange group so makes me wonder though I'm A positive. I've also been tested for coeliac disease.
Hubby has had food poisoning so not good at ovulation time but we've tried! I'm going back to using my mooncup too to keep them in ;)
Planning on seeing prof quenby too this month x

Thanks for all your info it's really helpful.

Dupek so sorry to hear it didn't work out this time and wish you lots of luck for the next try.

Free's trailer was so good, made me very tearful but being my oldest and best friend it was always going to. Looks like she has done a fab job.

Welcome back Mel and hope you are feeling all relaxed after your hols.

On the way home from egg collection and I was very lucky to get 20! We are going to have the time lapse imaging done and they are being kept in a culture called embryogen which is to improve ongoing implantation in people who have had previous miscarriages.
Off home to bed as in a bit of pain and to drink 3litres of water and a pint if milk a day!

Mel3062 · 12/08/2013 12:28

Mel3062 · 12/08/2013 13:28

Can I have that too buzzy please for when I need them? X

BellyD · 12/08/2013 14:11

Wow, great news Pebbles. Take it easy today. The extra measures you have taken sound a great idea too. Keeping everything crossed for you.

dupek73 · 12/08/2013 16:24

Congratulations Pebbles !!! What a great news! Smile

Pebbles, if you don't mind, please tell me what was your protocol. What medication did you take during stimulation ?
The more I ask people, the more aware I am that I did not have the correct stimulation or perhaps my last few eggs are tooSad old and nothing will work anymore. Why did I have only one egg collected , I saw many follicles , around 9(I expected more to be honest) and the doctor said that they were good size.
Sorry if I am repeating myself but it shocked me, scared me and I can't forget about it.

Pebbles73 · 12/08/2013 17:53

Thanks for that Buzzy

Well we had a slight setback as after they washed the soerm sample they weren't happy as there were still a lot of dead/bad ones left and they weren't sure why. Poor dh had to go back and do another sample but had the same result so they recommended we opted for icsi. Is all v strange ax never had this problem the other three times and they couldn't really say why it had happened. Now have to sit tight until tomorrow and hope the fertilisation rate is good.

Dupek I have pcos so always over stimulate very easily and in two of my three nhs cycles we had to freeze everything as I had borderline ohss.
I was put on the short protocol this time so now down regulating. I was on a gonal f dose of 75 generally although varied between that 112.50 and 37. I was also on cetrotide which works a little like down regulating and stops you ovulating naturally.
I do really feel for you and hope I am not coming across as insensitive posting my info when you are going through this.

dupek73 · 12/08/2013 18:21

Thank you Pebbles for your info. I am happy for you and always when I hear a positive news here; it gives me hope.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow .

BellyD · 13/08/2013 10:01

Good luck for today, Pebbles.

Pebbles73 · 13/08/2013 13:17

Feeling very relieved as 17 of the eggs fertilised! Potentially having et on Thursday and if there are no clear front runners it will be Friday. Then starts even more mentaling!!
