MrsJoeMcIntyre · 26/03/2009 10:00

What a bloody state of affairs.

psychomum5 · 26/03/2009 10:00

oooh, I was wondering when this would be announced.

bet the girl is feeling crap tho now, as it is kind of proof that she was possible sleeping around!

poor alfie tho, being dragged in to that all.

and at his father, as he was the one who sold them all out wasn;t he??!!

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 26/03/2009 10:00

beanieb · 26/03/2009 10:01

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 26/03/2009 10:03

geordieminx · 26/03/2009 10:03

Massive publicity stunt and noting more. I bet she was raking it in from selling her sorry litte story...

Poor poor baby.

FAQinglovely · 26/03/2009 10:04

poor kid

TigerFeet · 26/03/2009 10:04

Not much of a surprise

I was wondering about this the other day, gawd knows why. I'm not usually one for getting caught up in these things.

Poor kid, I feel sorry for him.

FAQinglovely · 26/03/2009 10:04

oooor freaky x posts their TigerFeet - both saying "poor kid" at exactly the same time

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 26/03/2009 10:05

Does anyone else feel really sorry for Chantelle? What sort of chance did she have in life when her parents are willing to 'sell her' to the newspapers, disregarding and shame or embarrassment she might feel, or any bullying that might occur.

And her mum told her to tell everyone she was a virgin? So she knew her 14 y o daughter was sleeping around, and did what about it?

rubyslippers · 26/03/2009 10:08

i would put money on Chantelle not seeing a penny of the money

but to be honest what parent would sell their children out like that anyway?

TigerFeet · 26/03/2009 10:09

FAQ great minds and all that

I do feel sorry for the baby's Mum too. But if her mum had enough control over her to insist she lied, surely the Mum could have stopped her sleeping with numerous partners at age 14? I feel worse for that young boy, he's been dragged into something by both the baby's family and his own father and he looked so lost and scared.

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:10

am i the only one whos glad that little boy ,can be a litte boy again, and not be duped into bringing up a baby thats not his?.the girl and her mother should be ashamed of themselves for lying.....poor wee baby . alfie's dad did exactly the right thing! but if he taught his son to not do adult things untill he could cope with all that means this would never have happened

BouncingTurtle · 26/03/2009 10:10

I'm so not surprised. He doesn't look much older than my 8yo dss!!

Do feel sorry for the Chantelle and Alfie. But mostly I feel sorry for baby Maisie.

I think Chantelle and Maisie need to be taken away from her money grabbing parents, and put into foster care if they are to have any chance of a decent life. Her parents clearly don't give a shit about their daughter

wasabipeanut · 26/03/2009 10:12

I knew it. All 3 of these children are/were being exploited by their useless excuses of parents. I feel desperately sorry for all of them.

GivePeasAChance · 26/03/2009 10:12

Yeah, did think you had to have actually have gone through puberty to have a child !

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:12

its like an episode of shameless!

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 26/03/2009 10:13

drlove how can you blame the girl? She was only 14 at the time, hardly a responsible adult.

Yes I feel sorry for Alfie to, but he can walk away, Chantelle has to raise this baby alone now. And she has been branded the local slapper by the worlds media.

I think SS need to be looking into Chantelles family and better protecting her from her mother.

cherryblossoms · 26/03/2009 10:13

I suspect there's a lot more going on in this. But whatever that "a lot more" is, it's just not good.

It really makes me wonder about Max Clifford, though. I wonder if he is some benevolent media social worker, sorting out the messy lives of his clients, whether he cares about people like Jade and Alfie and his family; or whether he is completely cynical?

Weird and sad.

FAQinglovely · 26/03/2009 10:15

"drlove how can you blame the girl?"

oh trust me - a lot of girls that age are fully aware of what they're doing and don't give a sh*t. There was a girl at my school who at 13 (or was it 12?) slept with 3 different boys at the school (boarding), it was single sex "dorms" (2-4 children per room) and she told her room mate on the top bunk just to go to sleep and not tell anyone.

wasabipeanut · 26/03/2009 10:17

Cherry, my view about Max Clifford is that he doesn't give a fuck about the welfare of his clients. He just trosusers lots of lovely cash from said clients and the worlds media.

I never understood why the parents of Alfie and Chantelle couldn't be prosecuted for neglect/abuse. Would have sent a clear message that allowing your 14 year old child to sleep with another one wasn't acceptable. You may not be able to stop them having sex if they are truly determined, bu knowingly allowing it to go on regularly under your roof is a very different matter. Its a complete abdication of parental responsibility.

Oh shit I'm turning into the Daily Mail on ths one.

Lizzylou · 26/03/2009 10:19

What an awful messy situation, poor children (all 3 of them).
It says in the article that Chantelle slept with the 6 other lads at her home...who lets their 14 yr old daughter sleep with multiple partners in the family home?

Then to lie, blame a little boy and try and cash in....

So tragic.

drlove8 · 26/03/2009 10:19

shesells i dont blame the girl as such, but at 14 yrs old a child knows whay lying is, she may not have understood the damage that can be done by deicet, but her mother did!the girl is a tragect case of what happens when parents dont give a shit what happens to their kids...i dont think Chantelle is a slapper, just a wee girl desperate for affection anyway she can get it...she defo needs protecting from her mother.
