Newspaper Readership Poll

Swedes · 31/01/2009 19:52

Please answer the following questions - please post once only. And do not comment so as to deter Daily Mail readers.

  1. Which paper do you mostly read Mon-Fri?

  2. Which Sunday paper do you read mostly?

Please answer with one paper. No pretending - if you feel you should answer Guardian and Observer but in reality read the Daily Mail and News of the World, please namechange and answer truthfully.

I read links on the interweb that mumsnet posters direct me to!

  1. Usually nothing. Watch TV news and look at BBC online. If I do get a paper it would be The Guardian or The Times depending on front page.

  2. The Observer or sometimes another broadsheet if it breaks an interesting story (e.g. last week I read The Sunday Times as it broke the cash for amendments scandal).

Hassled · 31/01/2009 20:00
  1. The Guardian
  2. The Observer

Very occasionally buy the Times if I feel the urge to read a real paper. Have RSS feeds for the BBC News site and TimesOnline but only really skim them to be fair, unless something catches my eye.

twinsetandpearls · 31/01/2009 20:04

Although when I take dd for a coffee and cake one of the cafes have a Daily Mail out and I will glance at it. I do wash my hands afterwards though/

However I do read a Saturday paper. The Guardian, and it takes me all week to read it

tumtumtetum · 31/01/2009 20:14

Rarely buy a paper. If I do.

  1. Independent
  2. Indepedent as well but it's been about twice ever.

Read the metro londonpaper and thisislondon on the tube and they make me angry (especially the last two) I should stop picking them up but a free read is hard to resist...

bramblebooks · 31/01/2009 20:20

Times (online)

Sunday Times - paper copy.

Stopped buying magazines, too expensive.

twinsetandpearls · 31/01/2009 20:24

Why swedes. Off all the insults I have ever had on mumsnet that is the worst. You would only have to be with me for a few seconds in real life to know I am not a daily mail reader.
