Hi, to make it easier for people who are finding this subject very distressing, we're going to keep all Baby P posts in one thread. If you'd like to discuss this subject, then here is the thread to do so. We'll go on the other threads and link to this one. Thanks very much.

OP posts:

I've not read this whole thread as i guess there are some polar opinions going on. I just weanted to pen down how very very upset i am for what baby p had to endure in his short life. Being a parent I can not concieve how anyone could treat a child this way and i am appalled at the lack of humanity. I hope that there is a god or afterlife or something somewhere where i can imagine baby p is at peace and happy.

Dont usually post on topics that are so fully in the news but am so saddenned by this. Just makes me cuddle my babies closer.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 17/11/2008 22:00

ive no idea

i think my morals are fine but ereryone is entitled to an opinion

hollyandnoah · 17/11/2008 22:01

mabanana, are you being serious? :S :O

mamadiva · 17/11/2008 22:01

LOL at freaky famillies.

Sick fantasies NONE is fantasising about this, we know it will happen it is hardly a secret.

MollieO · 17/11/2008 22:01

It is scary to stand up to thugs. I did it a few years ago when I lived in a flat and the boyfriend was regularly beating up his girlfriend. Always a risk of being identified but frankly I was happier with that than the thought of her being carried out one day in a body bag. Unfortunately a lot of people assume if they see something then so will others and those others will do the right thing without them themselves having to do it too.

oh mabanana, you are funny. What's it like up there - stuck with your head in the clouds? You should direct your anger at those who deserve it - calling mamadiva's dad a nasty piece of work and he makes you shudder, that's just a bloody joke - he's working with these sickos day in day out - he deserves a medal

MollieO · 17/11/2008 22:03

Should clarify - I lived in the flat next door and neighbour was abusive and violent.

mygreatauntgriselda · 17/11/2008 22:03

Prion officers are just normal people with kids themselves - they must get very frustrated that our society puts the human rights of child abusers above those of vulnerable children

and the must get very traumatised by some of the stuff they hear at work and some of the animals they have to "look after"

lets be honest here - the animal that did this will have a cushy and comfortable life compared with Peter

He will be warm, fed, clean - no doubt have a TV and access to pornography and drugs

Peter had no comfort and no one to protect him

LuckySalem · 17/11/2008 22:04

hmmmm - I think this whole BabyP is a sad state of affairs. This is my opinion now and hope it doesn't upset anyone but I don't understand how you can not want to know a little about (not how it happened) why it happened.
I personally want some kind of assurances that it's never gonna happen again so maybe that's why i'm reading all of this. As a mum I want to know why this was allowed to happen to make sure that someone I trust DD with later in life (School, after school clubs, babysitters) aren't going to do anything and if they are that something is done before it gets ANYWHERE NEAR as bad as it did to him. I mean FGS from what I read there was a peadophile living at the house?! I want to know that mess-ups like this aren't going to happen again.

Some kind of punishment needs to be done to these people and I don't advocate the death penalty (thats the easy way out) lock them in a cell with nothing but a mattress and a bucket and leave them to it. Feed them twice a day but thats it!!
It sickens me that some of these so called criminals have better amenities than I do!

I know a prison officer who had to say he'd walk away from his job if he had to look after one appalling criminal. Because he'd had the pleasure of this guy's company before, seen him released and protected, and here he was again, having destroyed another life.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 17/11/2008 22:07

it is unpleasant but people are angry and want to feel that there is repercussions for such evilness

sadly there isnt

everyone will have lots of meetings and then it will all be forgotton like Victoria and happen again

MollieO · 17/11/2008 22:07

LS I have no faith that it won't happen again. What did everyone say after Victoria Climbie was murdered? This is worse because there were so many opportunities to do the right thing and yet trained health professionals were completely deceived by this mother.

As was said on another thread though

It's shocking that you abuse an animal, get sent to jail and get hit with a lifetime ban on having another one, yet you can murder a child go to jail for about the same amount of time and come out to have more?

Now that does seem odd to me. Is our society so pitiful that we value animals more than our/other people's children?

mamadiva · 17/11/2008 22:11

Smallships, she had 3 kids too there were 7 living there.

One of them was abused(as far as we are led to believe anyway)

mygreatauntgriselda · 17/11/2008 22:11

It seems that he was picked on because he was a boy and the most vulnerable -the torturer sid he wanted to toughen him up

OMG I can't stop crying

saggyhairyarse · 17/11/2008 22:11

Mamadiva, I know what you mean. I can't help but think that atleast he isn't suffering anymore, if he hadn't of died, would he still be suffering?

cheekysealion · 17/11/2008 22:11

mamadiva- that does make me wonder
as animal charities get far more donations then any other charity
