Fern Britton admits to having weight-loss surgery

And she told us she lost 3 stone walking the dog and eating healthily.
Now is transpires that he had a gastric band fitted two year ago.

I suppose she was very overweight and this drastic surgery may have saved her life [over dramatic]

She shouldn't have told barefaced lies about it. There was no reason for her to be ashamed.

Believe me I know how hard ot is being married to a chef. I put on two stone when I met dh and I was overweight before I met him. When I did weightwatchers and was majorly dieting I relationship really suffered because food wasn't fun or sexy anymore. I feel for Fern Britton, she ballooned once she married her chef. I bet her having a gastric band has made theings tricky in their household.

I agree she gave interviews saying that all she had done was to eat more healthy and ride her bike.
I think thats its a pity that she has been found out

this does make me cross actually and i do like her but she has said it has been healthy eating and exercise which turns out to be rubbish which is so misleading

I disagree about lying. In fact I don't even think she was lying in a malicious sense.

It was probably easier to say that than nothing because then there would have been speculation about it. She is entitiled to a private life about something personal.

She has always championed 'natural' methods in most things though and ahs frowned upon extreme diets and plastic surgery in the past.Hypocrite

It's totally her private business and I simply couldn't care less. I am shocked at the way people feel 'entitled' to the private medical details of strangers just because their job happens to involve being on the telly. She has clearly taken a decision for her health. She has four children she wants to be around for. It's not our business.
