Are we just going for the head in the sand approach or are we going to get a pamphlet or something?

A pamphlet to tell us what? If nukes are on the way, you, me and everyone else are dead.

Should be covered in a sentence on the pamphlet.

Overtheatlantic · 20/11/2024 10:42

😂 Or we could try taking some responsibility for ourselves?

Timeforabiscuit · 20/11/2024 10:43

Depends, do any peers stand to gain a lucrative pamphlet printing contract?

MissMoneyFairy · 20/11/2024 10:44

What sort of pamphlet, how would that help anyone .

HelpMeGetThrough · 20/11/2024 10:44

I'll get my air rifle out and shoot those nasty Russki nukes down.

Chowtime · 20/11/2024 10:45

We have a perfectly competent defence system. Let NATO worry about that.

The whole point of having nuclear weapons is that we DONT have to use them. Just the threat is enough of a deterrent

Singleandproud · 20/11/2024 10:45

Well it's good practise to have a week's worth of food in incase of transport issues particularly in the colder weather.

I live in the blast zone for a nuclear power station so hopefully it will be pretty quick.

I'm not in any way concerned, what will be will be and we'll deal with it when it comes as so many different scenarios.

EvangelicalAboutButteredToast · 20/11/2024 10:45

Apparently Finland and Sweden are giving out pamphlets. Germany has published a document where they are going to act as a ‘logistics hub’ for NATO troops. Russia is mass producing mobile bunkers for their citizens. I just wonder what Keir and crew are getting together for us.
A Powerpoint to duck and take cover at least? I had to change the autocorrect from’dick’ and take cover 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Heres a tip...if you're anywhere near a mushroom cloud...get in your car and drive towards it. It'll be better than the alternative.

By doing what? We need guidance!

What guidance do you need?????

Surely you wouldn't even want to survive a nuclear attack????

Balloonhearts · 20/11/2024 10:47

Because Russia aren't going to attack us. Russia have been at war with tiny little Ukraine for 1000 days and not been able to best them. If NATO get involved they're fucked. They can't fight us and Ukraine and America, France and the rest of NATO. They know that. They take out one of us, the rest retaliate. Putin is nuts, not stupid.

Well even if it was run towards the missiles I’d take it.

We're we not told earlier this year to keep supplies at home to last us three days. Maybe that was it.

BeachRide · 20/11/2024 10:48

Watch 'When the Wind Blows' on YouTube. That pretty much covers everything. Or, you know, chill.

ByMerryKoala · 20/11/2024 10:48

I'm practicing my hand to hand combat moves while dancing to Everybody was Kung Fu fighting.

Chowtime · 20/11/2024 10:48

I'm near GCHQ anyway so hopefully it'll land right on my head Grin

Lifestooshort71 · 20/11/2024 10:48

Is this post tongue in cheek or do you actually want a pamphlet!!

Who told us that and where did they say it? I guess they could send us a text. That was trialled over Covid from memory.

The ruskies also probably havent found our about balaclava'd knife wielding ebike riding "yutes".

We can probably stand an army of over half a million of those if my local area is anything to go by.

We just need to pay the yutes with a pair of nike trainers, a bag of weed and a bottle of Prime.

Don't be so ridiculous. Escooters are much more maneuverable.

Werecat · 20/11/2024 10:50

We don’t need any guidance. If nuclear war starts we’re all mostly dead (except farmers) because we’ve lost all the useful skills. Most people wouldn’t make good survivors.

The only guidance you need is to turn off the news and go about your day. It’s much more pleasant when you don’t have the media trying to shit stir constantly.
