So we should deport anybody with a criminal record who is not British by birth? Or are you saying it’s fine as long as they quickly gain residency rights first? I’m trying to iron out the basic premise.

Your life must be very hard if you are constantly searching for hidden meanings in everything. What I said is very clear. So just reread it until you understand.

He didn't call a Cobra meeting to manage events. Instead he flew off on to his holiday leaving the country in chaos.

He is at Chequers, in England

Countries should refuse to let any overseas born person with a criminal record set foot on their soil, and you support this? You would be considered very right wing in some circles.

I said further up thread, I’m very happy to acknowledge it was on a lower scale. But the tactics are the same aren’t they?

It wasn't just on a smaller scale - the motivation was different too

Attacking banks - 'politically' motivated investment in Israel

Vs

Attacking supermarkets/corner shops and stealing fags/booze - looting/hedonism

Attacking mosques - religious hatred/racism

Attacking CAB library cemetery etc- ??

I do not condone the recent riots and looting but after six months of pro-palestinian rallys in London and accross the UK it did seem as though that the idea of protest through mass assembly was normalised and policing was very hands off.

Police have removed a group of pro-Palestinian protesters from London's Trafalgar Square after fireworks were fired towards officers and into crowds.
Scotland Yard said a dispersal order was authorised at 6.43pm on Saturday and would remain in place until 1am on Sunday.
The Met Police said it had made 11 arrests during a fourth week of protests in central London.

That's not what I said 🙄
I think its entirely reasonable for countries to control their borders by denying visas to known criminals. Seems like good border control to me and something these dickhead rioters won't have considered.

Do you mean vetting for all types of entry to the U.K.?

What if the information is not known

There is a difference between pre planned protests organised with the knowledge of the police (Palestine demos) and organised rioting that the police were not consulted on.

I'm not sure why you'd want to imply they are the same.

I do support it and I would like to see Britain get much tougher with foreign criminals.

I wonder if those people cheerleading this for the current rioters would also be as gleeful if it was applied to supporters of Just Stop Oil, BLM, ANTIFA, etc, that are convicted of crimes.

Graham Linehan is not a GC woman or a racist thug as far as I know, so I'm unsure of your point.
And I'm not suggesting "cancelling" anyone. I'm asking that you specifically stop aligning GC womens reasonable concerns about men in womens prisons (for example) with racists who are rioting and smashing up shit

Perhaps you should check out his tweet about what happened in Belfast yesterday. Or this one: "Funny isn't it that the identitarian Left's two pet projects have the word 'phobia' after both of them? It's almost as if they're trying to scare you out of talking about certain subjects." Or check out his retweets of Douglas Murray.

Is he force teaming GC feminists too?

RedToothBrush · 04/08/2024 12:57

It's happening.

There is a visa waiver scheme coming in from October which is similar to the US one. Non EU citizens (yes that includes us) will have to pay for a visa waiver that lasts a couple of years. You will need to provide fingerprints on your first entry to the EU.

But if you have a criminal conviction you won't be eligible for a waiver so they can prevent your entry.

A conviction for being a racist rioter will mean holidays in Skeg for the rest of your life.

Farage should be arrested and charged with inciting disorder. If convicted that would stop his little jaunts to the USA. He's totally unfit for public office too.

I'd rather not. GL has lost the plot and fallen down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole imo, his twitter is a horrible place.

The far right in general is forced teaming GC feminists and unfortunately some previously sensible people seem to have been sucked in. I've been following it for a while.

I'm a Sikh, Indian woman.
A white old English man in his 70's attacked me after his wife came into my garden to sing "go back home" etc to me. Lived here for over 10 years, they've always given me dirty looks which I guessed was due to me not being white. Don't care about that, wouldn't have 2 words to say to people like them anyway. However, I'm sure these riots emboldened them to attack me. They are lucky I'm not going to hit old people, I just blocked the attack and reported to the police. I'm sure these riots and heatwave made these two disgusting people show how much venom they had against me.

Jesus, I wish I was your neighbour so I could go and have a word with them 😡

That would fall under conspiracy laws and should result in lengthy prison sentences.

It won't though.

The poor bank staff must have been terrified, but I guess them being trapped by violent mobs in their places of work doesn't 'count' because 'Gaza'.

Then they won't be granted asylum or a visa or even removed from the country

The question was about vetting people where no information is known.

In Aus obviously they only let people in who have cleared vetting and that applies to all entries

We don’t have the same

I can't be bothered to find it for you. I have better things to do and I'm totally unbothered whether you believe it or not. His activities re Brexit were incitement enough.

I'm with Dominic Grieve on X which I think I've quoted above.

I have zero doubt he is delighted with the riots but he won’t have been stupid enough to get done for incitement.

I’m interested to know if those who approve of Spain refusing entry to any Brit with a criminal record (like me!) also approve of the UK doing the same? Does this just mean holidays or deportations?
