The chat appears to have gone quiet today after the last thread filled up, so I'm making a new one for anyone who wants to come together whilst we all hold our breath hoping for a good outcome.

@FannyChmelar where did you see this reported about scratches on his neck?

Probably some crap on twitter I imagine

Interesting that the article contrasts the behaviour rather than the colour of women who disappear. Rightly or wrongly, those who live racketty lives are less likely to attract public interest and sympathy than a respectable settled woman.

Year ago a prostituted woman was beaten to death in a yard down the road from me. She got a tiny two line mention in the local paper. I found it heartbreaking at the time. It seemed that finding her killer wasn’t much of a priority.

For God's sake... and this is exactly what I mean. It's unhealthy that you think it's okay to say that in a public forum, I'm sorry, but it just is!

Bluekerfuffle · 12/02/2023 14:30

Wittow · 12/02/2023 14:25

Yeah a shadow.... apparently. People can't see it.

Generally people can’t see what’s not there.

And the vast majority of us agree with you on this!
I've reported a few people for posting this type of thing.

You can report these messages. Doesn’t mean everyone else can’t discuss. It’s odd that people stick around reading if they are so horrified.

'And you don’t get to tell people they can’t comment on these threads and discuss the fact that people obsessing about a missing woman are a bunch of weirdos. And now discussing a mark on a man’s face!! Freaks.'

'Freaks' is such a retro insult, haven't heard that in years!

Please just stick with the facts
The police have accepted his cctv and have searched his house.
Speculation like this helps nobody.

Making the leap from electric engineer to video manipulation wizard is a bit of a stretch to put it mildly.

I posted this upthread and no one responded but I think this is important.

The woman who found Willow said she tied to her to a bench with string that was already attached to her collar - is this correct? If so, why did she have string attached to her collar? This to me indicates that she had been tied up previously and broke free. If this is the case, who tied her up?

That is an interesting question. I was also puzzled by the string but assumed it had been misreported.

Shewasnthere · 12/02/2023 14:42

@Jourdain11 you've just been hanging around for the first little comment to be outraged at to justify yourself.

'There are photos of him from before she was missing with the same shadow on his face.
It's just discolouration'

It's only on one side. Imo it is definately a bruise. I'm sure there is an innocent explanation and he probably covered it initially as it looks bad, and people always suspect the partner.

I hope they’re correct but so far the Lancs force have been more like the Keystone Cops.

ItsaStupidSillyThing · 12/02/2023 14:46

As for the CCTV doorbell cameras can't be looped or doctored imo, it's not that easy not even for an electric engineer, heard it's pretty much impossible. Yes there may have been a back exit to the house, but I'm sure the police have already considered that.

That’s how shadow works, if the the light source is on one side of your face the other side is in shadow.

You can have discolouration on one side. I have it, it's melasma on me. Brought out by the sun.
Paul looks like he probably uses the sun bed as he's quite tanned.

Eatentoomanyroses · 12/02/2023 14:49

The longer this goes on the more I’m starting to think she has been abducted. That bench is basically 10-15 yards from a road. She’s been doing that same walk every day for a long time and publishing it on strava. Yes it’s risky but what if there was more than one offender in on it. It’s a horrible thought. Really is but it seems unlikely she’s gone into the water from what’s been said about the depth etc.

Shewasnthere · 12/02/2023 13:35

Oh, they're all out in force now 😅

Thread must be on active. You often get people parachuting into long running threads to scold everybody about wrongthink when they appear on active!

I'm really not bothered about justifying myself and I don't think I need to.

Didn't look like discoloration to me, it is healing like a bruise would, in second interview you can see this. Imo it is a bruise.
