The chat appears to have gone quiet today after the last thread filled up, so I'm making a new one for anyone who wants to come together whilst we all hold our breath hoping for a good outcome.

I wonder if threads have been removed because in the show last night they asked people to stop speculating on social media etc, as it was not helping the investigation?

I fully understand and support that, it isn't helpful to anyone. But that made me uncomfortable with her partner in last night's programme insisting that she must have been taken, and by someone local. Is that materially different from online speculation? I wonder what the police thought of it? And possibly the residents of the village, will they now all be looking at each other sideways?

@pigsinoodies erm, are you ok? Rabid? What a strange insult.

An entirely appropriate insult based on your previous posts.

Sorry if this has been answered , but
does anyone know if after the dog was tied up with string , did any other dog walkers spot it ?
has the tatty red van been found ?
was Nicola known to have suffered from depression at all ?
wonder why the police asked him to drive home rather than meet him where she went missing ?
were her keys definitely in the car ?
did the woman who found willow explain why she did not ring the number on the dog tag ?

Why do you need the answers to these questions? WTF has it got to do with you, or anyone else if she suffered from depression. This isn’t some Netflix drama you are trying to guess the ending. If I were you, I would leave the detective work to the professionals. I haven’t read the other threads, but the fact that there are 6 others shows what a pit of scavengers MN can be
sometimes.

ofwarren · 11/02/2023 22:39

The first photo is the garage where they are getting the cctv
The second photo shows it in relation to allotment Lane
The third photo shows down allotment Lane.

Allotment Lane itself is covered by cctv. It's where they got the photos of the 2 women they wanted to speak to as potential witnesses. Red coat woman and yellow coat woman.

One thread removed only, and it was apparently because of the volume of complaints about the bickering caused by one argumentative poster.

And @ofwarren has been doing a good job of trying to keep the threads on a decent and dignified track. As someone who frequently ran the route Sarah Everard took the night she was abducted I can say that it is very frightening for local women when an event like this happens and that local people will want to raise its profile in the hope it might lead to a speedier resolution. As such ofwarren and the other local MNs who have brought their local knowledge to these threads have my sympathy.

She probably had string in her pocket x lengthened the lead giving Willow more loose line to move comfortably as she needed to leave her. I carry paracord to give my dogs a little more freedom if i need them on lead when I sit down for a bit.

But if no owner about you'd do a short lead for safety of dog surely, not give them a bit more.

That's been debunked.
It's just shadow/eye bag

That must have been such a stressful time for you.
Did you stop running altogether or try and change where you went? So bloody scary Sad

I don't think so
It doesn't matter though, we have this one now.

And let's explain that Allotment Lane leads from the main road down to Wyreside Caravan Park and is the nearest vehicle access to the gate/bench area.

Yes, very important point

AbsolutelyFuckingSick · 11/02/2023 22:44

@pigsinoodies is it though? I'm not the one chomping at the bit for threads to be reinstated to discuss people I pretend to know when all we have in common is a past post code!

Do you have any evidence that anybody's 'chomping at the bit' to have threads reinstated?

londonmummy1966 · 11/02/2023 22:49

@ofwarren - I do still run and at night as I have little choice but I don't run that route any more - I try to stick closer to home. I'm marathon training at the moment but at the present moment don't feel like running down some of the less popular stretches of the Thames path either.

Obviously I know nothing more than anyone else however I live near a river I know some of the issues and as for PF scan expert he’s something of a maverick it seems. I’m not entirely sure why he’s behaving as he is but a lot of his behaviour is very unprofessional and goes against his obvious years of experience.

The depth of water is irrelevant if you hit your head or land face first and fill your lungs. People drown in shallower.

But they don’t then disappear within a very short time in a shallow slow moving water course. There were other people about. Even if she sank she wouldn’t be swept away in those conditions and should have been found given all the resources used virtually immediately. It doesn’t make sense.

So although the cctv in the park it's self was broken, the only access had working cctv that could show any vehicle or pedestrian entering/leaving that way. Is that correct?

Yes I'd seen that. Ofwarren is hardly 'chomping at the bit', just asking questions in a quite gentle manner.

I also felt like asking questions when I realised the thread had been hidden. When I went to bed last night it was all being controlled apart from the bickering on a side-subject.

And on that note I won't engage with you again on this subject because it's derailing the thread again. I will report any further unwarranted personal attacks however.

It's not a park and it had no CCTV. All CCTV coverage is incidental from nearby properties.

Caravan park..?

I wonder when they say CCTV shows NB didn’t leave do they mean they didn’t see her walking or that they’ve checked and accounted to all vehicles
