Sorry what I mean is I don’t think the cost is the main issue, the main issue is Archie’s lack of dignity - but it is going to cost money as well.

I suppose this is legally interesting, I just think it is so wrong. The English courts have taken such care in their approach to this and the UN just injuncts us just for the sake of a pointless investigation? Lamentable.

WTF. This is unbelievable. I'm astounded.

As far as I understand the injunction is whilst they consider the case.

It's not a decision that it can never be done.

At the High Court hearing the week before last, the Drs said that Archie’s life expectancy now was being measured in weeks as opposed to months. The treatments he is on have their own effects on the body and the time will come when they become toxic and can no longer support the continued functioning and he will have a cardiac arrest. As Judge Hayden included an immediate DNAR, effective from the 11th July, in his judgement and that still stands, then the hospital staff would do nothing in the event this happened but would quietly turn of the monitors and drugs and let the inevitable happen.

Having worked in a trust with a sadly similar situation, half the itu staff left. The hospital won’t ever say talk about the behaviour of the parents but I’m sure you can imagine. Staff were physically abused and there was constant verbal
abuse. We had police at the ward entrance. It was utterly awful.

That poor child. Now his mother is going I be convinced she’s right and that the hospital just want to kill her son.

How can the UN do this? How is this humane

They had an application from the family and are duty bound to consider it.

It's not the fault of the UN.

To repeat the injunction isn't to stop treatment being withdrawn forever, but just until they have reviewed the case.

It's not a surety that they will agree with the family.

Fundamentally the issue remains that this boy is not disabled, he is dead and the medical evidence for that is overwhelming.

It’s just while they consider the case. Hopefully they’ll come to the right conclusion 🤞🏻

i know its just a pause on the dicsion but it once again gives hope and thats just not needed

i thougth they only got involved in national problems not individual cases
