Maybe she needs to be banned from the hospital so they can just get on with it at this point.

She’s had numerous opportunities to be with him during his final moments but let’s be honest, she’s not interested in that. It’s all about the publicity for her at this stage.

I note there is very little mention of the father here. Is he at least somewhat of a rational person?

Quia · 28/07/2022 15:00

So she's happy to invite strangers in and endanger other very sick children? Lovely.

Quia · 28/07/2022 15:02

I would assume the hospital is trying to talk to her and Archie's father about final arrangements. But it's a near-impossible conversation if she won't listen.

Crazycatlady83 · 28/07/2022 15:07

I hoped sanity would prevail and HD would resign herself to the inevitable, meaning when the support was switched off, she and the family could be there and it would be peaceful. But unfortunately sounds like the circus continues.

My heart goes out to all those families on the ward with very sick children having to be part of it, completely against their wills (and of course all the staff at the hospital)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/07/2022 15:21

According to another page who contacted the hospital:
𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Apparently the 3 men, she let the men in even though she didn’t know them then they started causing issues shouting religious phrases towards a healer. H has already been told numerous times not to let anyone in on the ward due to safety

Since the discussion's so heavily censored I can't say what I really think about these reports, but can easily believe there's an instruction not to let strangers in because of safety - after all it's a pretty standard thing in any hospital

Overall, though, it's just such a shame it's becoming more about fighting the hospital and courts instead of spending this precious time with Archie, who it's supposed to be mainly about

Soubriquet · 28/07/2022 15:21

AlternativelyWired · 28/07/2022 14:45

They've already had additional time. I know how desperate she must be but enough is enough poor lad.

You just know she won’t stop until he either dies, or she wins.

Given she won’t win, she is literally waiting for his heart to give out. Where it will be a horrible
manic stage and she will miss holding him goodbye.

MayThe4th · 28/07/2022 15:29

It won’t come to that. She won’t continue to be granted permission to approach this and that court forever.

I agree that she will miss out on being there when he goes, but that will likely be because she is denied her final wish to approach whoever and the hospital will remove the life support regardless of whether she is there.

The hospital will of course do everything they can to work with the parents so that this can be done as quickly and peacefully as possible, but if the parents don’t cooperate it will be done anyway.

MayThe4th · 28/07/2022 15:31

As there’s been nothing said about them being given any more extra time, I’d imagine the hospital are making preparations to withdraw the life support as soon as possible.

Georgeskitchen · 28/07/2022 15:37

ICUs are not wards you can just stroll into. They should have police or security guards at the main hospital entrances to keep out anyone wishing to disrupt the peaceful passing of this poor young lad. His mum appears to be becoming more desperate and unhinged and in my view it's bloody christian army who are feeding her paranoia. They need prosecuting 🤬

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 28/07/2022 15:46

Puzzledandpissedoff · 28/07/2022 14:48

The thought of having Police and Security there, is just too horrific

Hollie just posted that the police have already had to be called, because three "trolls" turned up and abused the chaplin (sic) who was praying for Archie - hence, allegedly, why he had to speak to her in a toy cupboard for her own safety

Needless to say it's providing more excitement for the "Army", none of whom seem to have wondered how anyone could have accessed the department quite so easily

I think less and less of his mother as this goes on tbh. The life support needs to be ceased and he needs to be allowed to go peacefully, with or without her around.

GirlInACountrySong · 28/07/2022 16:12

Oh wow. That army are crazy!

GreenIsle · 28/07/2022 16:24

Are they on Twitter or Facebook has anyone a link to follow

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 28/07/2022 16:31

@Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious I completely agree.

Somethingneedstochange · 28/07/2022 16:34

He was taken poorly from court on Monday. Think it was either a heart attack or stroke. The stress obviously won't help. But it does seem to be the mother that deals with the media. I think she enjoys the attention. Some do.

From what I can see they’re not on twitter but they have a fb group but it’s a private group so you have to request to join. Not a chance in hell am I adding my name to that.

Badger1970 · 28/07/2022 16:45

I would imagine that they've been told that they're not allowed to make the information public about withdrawal of life support.

At least you'd hope.............

MayThe4th · 28/07/2022 16:47

In fact looking at social media the support is very much concentrated in this private group. There is absolutely no mention on twitter other than news articles.

so often in these cases there is a public outpouring of support but that doesn’t appear to be the case here.

SpeckledlyHen · 28/07/2022 16:56

MayThe4th · 28/07/2022 14:48

Whoever is in charge of this now just needs to refuse, and the life support needs to be removed.

This actually makes me incredibly angry thinking about the amount of money that is being poured into this, when there are genuinely ill children out there who need that bed and need that ventilator. This shitshow needs to end and I have lost all sympathy.

Same.

Not sure how much Hollie Dance would feel bound by that. A lot of leeway would inevitably be given - it's hardly a good look locking up the mother of a dying child.

Soubriquet · 28/07/2022 17:00

If they arrested Hollie, you can guarantee AA people will storm the hospital and an all out riot will happen

Fritilleries · 28/07/2022 17:16

Doubt it.

I am a nurse and I was once involved in the care of a baby who was 7 months and although she was seriously ill and needed a liver transplant, as her parents were JW they refused to give consent for the procedure.

The Trust then went to Court over the issue and in the best interests of the child the transplant was performed against the parents wishes.

At the time I just couldn’t understand how the parents could sit at the cot side of their seriously ill baby and refuse treatment in the knowledge she would die without it.

Mind you, they would have known that ultimately the Trust would override their religious beliefs.

After the decision had been made, the parents almost seemed relieved as they knew their daughter’s life would be saved but they also knew that they had stayed true to their beliefs by having refused her treatment in the first place.

It was a really strange case to be in and it’s never left me.

They should've had the child removed from their care. Thags neglect.

TiddyTidTwo · 28/07/2022 17:29

This is cruelty now.

You wouldn't treat an animal like this.

Laiste · 28/07/2022 17:33

Would they turn off life support if she wasn't there? Could she use this as a tactic then, to block it happening? Not go to the hospital?

MayThe4th · 28/07/2022 17:42

Actually technically it’s not as he’s dead.

But the process has removed any dignity he would have had in death. Also it’s taking away a bed from a child who genuinely needs it.
