I'm with thedullwitch. I'm not going to get into it any more because the mere mention of that woman's name makes my blood boil.

I find her intensely annoying, but calling someone a skank is deeply unpleasant. And frankly whose business is it that her children have different fathers? It's not how I would choose to live my life, but I'm not her.

I'm not even sure what the word skank means, even as part of the Fatboy Slim single "Rockafeller Skank". However I can think of several other words to use to describe Ulrika Jonsson but I'll keep my personal opinions her to myself.

She's in the public eye, she ll flog her story, the preganncy, the birth, the baby pix, the inevitable break-up, to Hello and the tabs... It is such a crap role model for young women, to be rewarded for being so dissolute and feckless. I think these stars, like Katona MOther of the Year, just get up the duff for another plot line in their public soap opera.

I think that definition just about sums her up. Especially "someone who is morally or socially repugnant for their behavior and demeanor, most often sexual conduct". I'd call a man a skank who fathered lots of children by different mothers in a random, unplanned, careless way too.

I have to agree with Dullwitch that I would think the same about a man who had fathered 4 children with 4 different women or a woman in the same situation who wasn't in the public eye so why should I think any different about Ulrika just because she is 'famous'?

i dont care what they do, and how many they do it with, it just feels like its done for the relentless publicity

i do feel sorry for the kids though she seems uber unstable

i must admit (as a longstanding member of the ttc boards) i get very upset at stories like this. i hope she stays with this man, if only so that her children can have some stability.
i am uncomfortable with the fact that women like ulrika (not known for the strength of her knicker elastic) and kerry (oh no im pg again, pass the vodka) are continuously in the public eye, sell every aspect of their lives to the highest bidder, then do it over and over again. yet the stars who show real grace are dismissed as being unco-operative and ungrateful to the press for making them what they are.

i wonder if the papers would be descibing ulrika as "unlucky in love" or "brave" if she were living on a council estate

I'm sick of this idea that every personal/sexual decision is OK, that there is no such thing as morality. Her behaviour offends my moral code. It is selfish, dissolute, attention-seeking and pathetic.

To be fair to her, four children by four different men probably wasn't in her game plan when she was a little girl either. And I guess she's just one of those people who falls in love easily or maybe that she needs a man to complete her.

What I did take great exception to was in November 2002 her using the 'story' that she'd been 'raped' by a 'well known tv presenter' to sell a book without ever personally naming said person in order for him to defend himself, rather relying on media Chinese whispers to do the job of judge, jury and executioner for her. That was wrong, and it changed my opinion of her from just plain irritating to a grubby little slut. I guess I just took it to heart as it is an issue extremely personal to me.
