of course it is comparible. Even if you take the children out of the equasion, the woman left her first marriage because she was having an affair. She then went on to have another affair with someone who was already in a relationship. I don't know anyone who would condone a man cheating on his fife, so why is a woman cheating on her husband any different?

wannabe - AFAIK Ulrika is bringing up all the children herself as a family. In the scenario you described I imagine you meant the man fathered all these children and left. Apologies if I'm wrong.

However, if the man in your scenario had fathered 4 children with different women, they were all loved and wanted and was raising them by himself, I think he would be judged far more favourably than Ulrika is being judged here.

BTW i dont condone her cheating in her first marriage, but this isn't what this thread is about.

Being a sex addict doesn't mean you're actually addicted to the act of sex.

More the need for intimacy, the need to be needed, the need to deal with difficult, unresolved issues or feelings with sexual practice of whatever sort. That's the addiction. It's nearly always unhealthy and/or dysfunctional.

What I did take great exception to was in November 2002 her using the 'story' that she'd been 'raped' by a 'well known tv presenter' to sell a book without ever personally naming said person in order for him to defend himself, rather relying on media Chinese whispers to do the job of judge, jury and executioner for her.

I can only agree with this 100%, she was incredibly smug about the whole thing and seeing her being interviewed about such an awful situation, she was all smiles and wry winks to the camera. She has also done loads of reality TV lately and was the most bitchy person. Last thing I saw her on was Alan Titchmarsh's show whining about being blonde and Swedish and how she had encountered loads of prejudice . I think she is a nasty piece of work tbh...also I know someone who used to work on Gladiators and she was shagging Hunter whilst she was deep in a marrriage to another guy.

It just seems to me that she follows a "relationship pattern" - meet guy, fall pregnant, get married and then it all goes pear-shaped. She might be better off getting married first and giving that a go before having a baby or, even better, spend some time working out why she makes the choices she does in the first place.

I have no issue with her having four children by four fathers. As you say, not exactly what she would have hoped for as a young girl. Life happens, more chaotically for some.

What I have a problem with is her appearing in Hello/OK etc 'when she will only be ten weeks pg at the time of publication' and neither her nor new partner have yet told their families. Totally totally wrong priorities. Whilst her relationship record may be a triumph of hope over experience her publicity record is downright naive and encourages some of the more viscious postings. Same would apply to Kerry Katona in my book.

It's quite natural for some women to have a romantic notion of carrying the child of their lastest beau. It is deeply shameful, and sad for her growing gaggle of children that she so easily gives into such urges before taking the time to find out whether her latest shag is likely to be more than just that.

Meanwhile, back to UJ. I find it intersting that some people seem to have sympathy in abundance for her, despite her obvious total lack of a moral compass. They are willing to excuse her on the basis that she has various "issues" and has had a blighted childhood yet those very same people have absolutely no time whatsoever for Kerry Katona.

Kerry Katona also has "issues" and expereinced a blighted childhood with a drug addict for a mother.

She too has married the fathers of all of her children yet she is lambasted all over the place.

Perhaps it's because UJ is percieved as middle class and KK a working class chav....
