Ha ha ha! GOOD

Sittingintgesun · 29/04/2018 22:08

Saw the news earlier and didn't think she'd last the evening. Getting caught out lying through your teeth not good your career.

Everytimeref · 29/04/2018 22:09

Once your found out in a lie. It's usually the end.

SubtitlesOn · 29/04/2018 22:10

What do you guys think will happen next?

OP posts:
flamingnoravera · 29/04/2018 22:11

Only because she was exposed nit because she was genuinely remorseful.

SubtitlesOn · 29/04/2018 22:12

TM is quite vulnerable now isn't she?

OP posts:
MimpiDreams · 29/04/2018 22:12

More need to go.

newtlover · 29/04/2018 22:12

hah, didn't she have May's unqualiified support a day ago? Told DP that was her sentence.

QuoadUltra · 29/04/2018 22:14

I feel quite sorry for her as emails were a week after her father died and a few months after her children lost their father. Not surprised it was hazy.

Weezol · 29/04/2018 22:17

I was very glad to hear Amber 'as a mother' Rudd had jumped before she was pushed. The time of night confirms to me that she was invited to resign by the PM.
I'm not a Conservative voter, but am able to look past party politics and I know that there are some very genuine and motivated members, especially on the back benches.

Our Amber...not so much.

IJustHadToNameChange · 29/04/2018 22:19

Just announced on 10 o' clock news.

Shows how important it is to provide and take compassionate leave. Where was her GP and what were they saying to her?

I feel mildly sorry for her because the Home Office is such an unending shower of shit that you can't really avoid getting some on you. But only mildly because she has absolutely been a part of this target driven hostile culture. Whether she saw one particular email on one particular day is just the reason she got caught out.

noblegiraffe · 29/04/2018 22:21

My DH just said ‘imagine Jacob Rees Mogg gets her job’. Shock

There’s no chance of that, right???

SubtitlesOn · 29/04/2018 22:24

I think Select committee meetings are so important

They really get down the to nitty gritty of an issue

They really have to do their own research before going into them so they can answer the questions

IMHO she didn't do that before last week

PawprintsOnMyHeart · 29/04/2018 22:25

I think it was Andrea Leadsom who made the 'as a mother' comment, to be fair...

I'm not defending Amber Rudd though! She should have gone days ago.

Earlier today when they were speculating about her going, someone said Gove might be lined up for the job. Please god no.....!

DamsonGin · 29/04/2018 22:26

She's not alone at being at fault and her resignation won't fix it. They need to sort out the bag of shite that's been going on there.

SoupyNorman · 29/04/2018 22:27

Another remainer gone from cabinet. Gove’s slithering path to number 10 made clearer? Who knows.

PinkBuffalo · 29/04/2018 22:27

Ha! Saw this on the news! But now worried who the next 'boss' is going to be! (Police worker whose job has been made unbearable by her predecessor)

PortiaCastis · 29/04/2018 22:28

They're all a shower of shite and she's jumped ship before tomorrow in the HoC

Timeforabiscuit · 29/04/2018 22:28

The conservatives got in on a controlling immigration ticket, set a target (cos thats what you do when you want an achievable method of success) and then thought it was a real swizz to boot out some geriatrics.

And only Amber Rudd is responsible?

I've no love for the woman, but a whole heap of people didnt just blindly follow a new policy set by one person, they targeted, persecuted and discriminated against people systematically - setting a target doesnt lead to this on its own.

QuoadUltra · 29/04/2018 22:28

I really feel uneasy about this because I thought she was a good, level-headed politician and the cabinet was better off with her in it.

PinkBuffalo · 29/04/2018 22:29

Agree with OP, it could make TM vulnerable. Odds on another general in the next year??

ourkidmolly · 29/04/2018 22:30

It's not good news at all.

Weezol · 29/04/2018 22:30

Crikey, it was Leadsom - apologies to Ms Rudd for that misattribution. To be fair, I haven't actually seen that email.

IvorHughJarrs · 29/04/2018 22:31

I think it is a shame. As a country we will never get anything sorted if we don't have some stability. This constant changing is not good for any of us
I heard someone on the radio say last week that Labour weren't pushing hard for her to resign as they felt she was one of the few voices of common sense and a buttress against the hard leave faction
