A lady just interviewed on Channel 4 who lives in one of the smaller blocks at the base of Grenfell Tower said her family (including young children) are back in but have no hot water as the gas is still off. She said they've not had any contact from the Council.

Outrageous that they are still failing residents.

My god, so they put out the main fire but it was the cladding that then ran it away from them and made it unextinguishable

Helena - there was a tenant talking about the council ignoring the Grenfell Action Group earlier.

I posted a bit too soon as he just started talking.

Am I missing something? Why was there no alarm system? One interviewee from the 8th floor said he only knew there was a fire because he was awake and saw fire engines?

God that councillor - I just want to smack him, he really doesn't give even the slightest fuck about the people in that building
