While watching this morning's Eu debates an argument was put forward
that it was mainly the educated/qualified in the large cities like London
Edinburgh and Brighton voting to remain as they were the most mobile/
more likely to be moving to Europe for jobs etc
This is not necessarily this poster's view but it does seem these places
have more "knowledge "jobs than the provinces So I would like these
degree holding Mmnetters to disclose whether there is any truth in this?

Degree and Post grad here... voted remain.
Live in a deprived area and have never ever seen as many people at the Polls, many with England flags!

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 24/06/2016 07:07

Degree holder in London, voted Remain. Half my work colleagues are Europeans.

I've been staying near Clacton this week and seen Vote Leave posters everywhere.

GraceGrape · 24/06/2016 07:08

Degree and post-grad qualification - remain.

Eyre89 · 24/06/2016 07:09

titchy · 24/06/2016 07:10

Suspect there's some truth in OP.

dementedma · 24/06/2016 07:10

LyndaNotLinda · 24/06/2016 07:13

Post grad - remain

LyndaNotLinda · 24/06/2016 07:14

I don't have any friends who voted leave.

PenelopePitstops · 24/06/2016 07:14

Degree remain.

My local Facebook page had a poll. Most of the people with degrees were remain. Others without education above gcse were leave. Totally anecdotal I know but does seem to fit with the picture countrywide.

Degree, live in Oxford and see how fucking important the EU is everyday. I'm gutted. At least all my fellow citizens in oxford will be gutted. Not looking forward to the school run this morning.

whattodoforthebest2 · 24/06/2016 07:14

Degree. Leave. Surrey.

startingtheengine · 24/06/2016 07:15

Neither DH or I have a degree but we voted remain.

EmmapausalBitch · 24/06/2016 07:15

Degree and post graduate - remain.

However, mother and sister left education after GCSEs - also both remain.

meditrina · 24/06/2016 07:15

Well I've certainly just seen a commentator on the news saying that it was the Labour vote which decided the outcome of the referendum.

So if it's related to being educated/qualified, that has just written off the Labour heartlands as populated by the ill-educated/poorly qualified.

Nice.

PurpleDaisies · 24/06/2016 07:15

Two degrees - voted remain
Dh (with degree) also voted remain

Fossilfancier5 · 24/06/2016 07:15

No degree but did read LOADS to make a fully informed decision - remain

Spanielcrackers · 24/06/2016 07:15

Son 3 Hoping to be MEng student in October Remain

AprilLoveJ · 24/06/2016 07:16

"I would like these degree holding MNetters to disclose whether there is any truth in this"

So you're going to get a thread completely full of only degree holding, remain voters.

Brilliant unbiased poll.

hugoagogo · 24/06/2016 07:16

I think there is something in it.
Degree and remain here.
