Obama's a pretty strong candidate.

I mentioned it to some Americans when in the US last April, they thought I was loopy.

I think Hillary has an excellent chance. Although remain a little sceptical that she is the answer.

Obama is a strong candidate but when you analyse the voting public and how the votes are counted, think that will count against him tbh

It's been obvious for years that HC was going to run one day. But I've been taken aback at how disliked she is, esp amongst Democrats. Not that I've actually polled all the Democrats in the US, just the ones I know!

Believe me, as an American, Hilary has NILL chance.

Obama is very popular across the board.

Just as Colin Powell was, although he declined to run.

He was incredibly popular.

Have close family and friends in America and discuss policy w/them?

Obama is amazingly popular there.

Expat, what is that people don't like about Hilary? They just don't seem to warm to her but I don't know why.

She's not very diplomatic, suedo, at winning people round to her line of thinking.

People don't feel they can relate to her.

Obama, on the other hand, well, he's a LOT of what many people in America are: mixed race, the child of divorce, a family man, hard-worker, not too old but not to young, etc.

Obama has a half-sister here in the UK.

He's bi-racial - Kenyan father, white American mother.
