Rape and sexual violence are devastating crimes and the Government is committed to ensuring that every victim has access to the specialist support they need. We expect every incident of sexual violence and rape to be treated seriously, every victim to be treated with dignity and every investigation and every prosecution to be conducted thoroughly and professionally.
This Government is committed to creating a fair society in which all people, of all genders or ethnic origin or faith, are valued, able to participate fully and realise their full potential.
The Prime Minister has recently announced that Louise Casey will carry out a review of how to boost opportunity and integration in specific communities and bring Britain together as one nation. The Department for Communities and Local Government will be guided by her findings in launching a new Cohesive Communities Programme (CCP) this year, focusing resources on improving integration and increasing opportunity in those communities that most need it.
