Emily how can you prove that there is no overlap? Why would it be impossible to be a refugee and support IS? Does this not compute for you and therefore it cannot be?

I genuinely don't think you want to deepen your own understanding: you want to read things that support your world view, and either ignore or attempt to discredit anything that disagrees with this. Absolutely true. We have all raised the point throughout the thread that Emily does not want to take on board any information from anybody else but just keeps parroting her view even when it has been refuted and evidenced as wrong (as the Oktoberfest stuff was)

People have stated that they live in the US and Germany on these threads and noone has questioned their interest, because they share the same opinions. I must note the experience of a German woman,that lived there for years and said much about the long standing problem of sexual violence,street harrassment and groping, was heartily dismissed because the attacks weren't 'big' enough.

Lots of back-peddling from Emily on her claims about about what Help said, now that she has realised there is a search facility.

However, she seems unable to grasp that the mass of migrants who have entered Europe can contain BOTH refugees and economic migrants, and that among the 800,000 or so young men, many with no documents, it is highly unlikely that none are members of ISIS. No, she would rather make wild accusations that anyone who doesn't hold her own extremely simplistic viewpoint is "dishonest".

A server works for the season of Oktoberfest, and isn't a visitor for a night or an afternoon.

Report away january. Individuals from many countries are helping refugees. However, the rise of the far right, Pegida, Le Front Nationale, Britain First and other groups indicates that a significant proportion of the populations of many European countries are racist.

No, I don't want to take on board the myth that men of a certain appearance or faith are more sexually violent and dangerous based on recent events that have still to be understood. It is reactionary and alarmist.
