Keeping this in the spotlight since the mainstream media isn't.

I think the first thing is to get the MP's and police on our side, how that is going to happen though I don't know, but until we have their backing we are lost.

Lottapianos · 09/01/2016 19:41

Totally agree phone - I think she's actually just an invented character who will say the most outrageous thing at any given time just to wind people up and make a name for herself. I don't think the woman behind her actually believes any of it. What a shallow little person she must be

Cellardoor1 · 09/01/2016 19:41

Maria minimising language like 'cop a feel' is downplaying the extent of these assaults. Women had fingers of multiple men inserted into them, had their underwear ripped off, women were raped. Sorry but saying the men copped a feel while robbing them is bollox.

If they weren't organised then how do you explain different unprecedented events happening in multiple cities?

Igneococcus · 09/01/2016 19:42

It isn't legal to use it against humans onthephone someone said in forum I was reading. You can only use it against animals.

get a grip with the 'send them back' nonsense, Syria is a humanitarian crisis. there really is no evidence that they are all Syrian

unlucky83 · 09/01/2016 19:50

So is this the only new thread now?
We do need a to do list ...
Did we ever get a facebook thing organised?
I will send Lumela's letter to my MP (maybe we need a copy of that on this thread too) - and a list of our MPS contacts etc.
Where/what is the thing where if you get enough support it gets parliamentary time? Does anyone know?
Election wise there are Scottish Parliament elections this May...but I think independence will cloud any other issues...

Pinkchampchoccies · 09/01/2016 19:51

Thank you Geek.
Having read the posts regarding the Suffragette colours, maybe they are not a great idea after all. Also the original meaning of the colours as per WIKI:
"purple symbolised dignity, white purity, and green hope". dignity and hope is brilliant, purity..... not so sure Grin.

Yes it has been confirmed that about 500 men forcefully entered a disco in Bielefeld on NYE and sexually assaulted women.

www.focus.de/regional/bielefeld/500-maenner-drangen-in-disco-ein-ausschreitungen-in-silvesternacht-in-bielefeld-schwerer-als-bislang-bekannt_id_5199077.html you can go to Google translate and copy paste to get the gist. The police had to physically fight the men to stop them female guests. The men behaved extremely aggressively towards the police. There is no reference to the men's nationality of ethnicity or whatever.

www.welt.de/politik/deutschland/article150798244/Hunderte-sollen-Bielefelder-Disco-attackiert-haben.html

The situation is described as chaotic and very aggressive. They attacked the women. The second article also doesn't mention the profile of the attackers, strange, no?

maria543 · 09/01/2016 19:52

Cellar I apologise and hadn't meant to minimise. I actually hadn't read the reports of rape, merely the touching.

I still think it was unlikely to be organised though. Friends maybe got the idea from friends through texts/social media, but I can't imagine it was planned beforehand - this is mainly based on having lived in the middle eastern region for many years and being married to a muslim man from those cultures. We are according conspiracy theories where I think what we actually have on our hands is an unstable powder keg if you like, of poverty (hence the robbery aspect), misogyny, a skewed view of western women's morals, a terrible lack of education, and a set of cultures where men are very much pandered to and therefore grow up with a fair lack of self-control and self-discipline. One man distracts a women by assaulting her and manages to rob her, and another sees that going unchecked by other men nearby, and assaults another woman, and in the dark, in a crowd, another sees an opportunity, and so it goes on. Horrible. Pack mentality, which they do not have the education to recognise or the self-control to stop.

Pinkchampchoccies · 09/01/2016 19:53

"Did we ever get a facebook thing organised? '

Not yet. The Suffragette colour idea is a bit tricky and also doesn't apply well to a European context, although i liked the simplicity of the idea.

Seeing that there were attacks in Bielefeld too, if it turns out to be the same group of men then maybe having a picture with 2016 and the female symbol might be a start. We need someone who is understands viral marketing... and a designer ...

LumelaMme · 09/01/2016 19:53

Signing back in.
If the middle-of-the-road/left-leaning media does not step in, the field is going to be left to Katie H and her ilk, and we're right back to 'Can't say anything or you're a racist'.

Bugger the Guardian. I had begun to read the online version recently, and advised DD to do the same (trying to wean her off her teenaged interest in the Daily Mail) but I can't believe their handling of this.

onthephone100 · 09/01/2016 19:53

seems prescient in light of fakenames post to pass on this link

Refugee men took to the streets of Cologne on 1st January to litter pick. They wanted to "give something back"

Theydontknowweknowtheyknow · 09/01/2016 19:55

Maria, "cop a feel" really?

Do you know that they had crib sheets on them with phrases like "I want to fuck you to death"? That they separated each woman before finger raping them and yelling things like "bitch" at them. Is that really on a par with "copping a feel"?

And even if it is who cares? Does it lessen the trauma these women or does it boggle your mind even more that hundreds of men over 5 cities just randomly thought this was an ok thing to do?

LumelaMme · 09/01/2016 19:55

I still think it was unlikely to be organised though
But it happened in so many places at around the same time - if the news reports are to be believed. If it wasn't organised, then what was actually going on? Was it spontaneous?

onthephone100 · 09/01/2016 19:55

Maria so now it's not their fault because it was "pack mentality" and they couldn't control themselves?

Do you proof read before you post?

Pinkchampchoccies · 09/01/2016 19:58

I have read four different German online newspapers and none make a reference to the nationality or ethnicity of the attackers. Either they were all German, in which case I would have thought they print it in bold to emphasise that German men are 'just as bad' or there the information is being censored, possibly to protect national security. I am speculating.

hiddenhome2 · 09/01/2016 19:59

It'll be the latter Pink

Pinkchampchoccies · 09/01/2016 20:00

"Pack mentality, which they do not have the education to recognise or the self-control to stop."

Someone might say that what you are saying is rather racist.

anonooo · 09/01/2016 20:00

Did more than one man have a crib sheet. I am finding it hard to hold onto what is fact and what is rumour.

Pinkchampchoccies · 09/01/2016 20:01
  • Someone might say that what you are saying is rather racist. I.e. these savage, have no self control Hmm
Tamponlady · 09/01/2016 20:01

Wonder if all the lefties still are happy to have these randoms in there home people who were saying it would be a madness to invite immergrants who ypu have no real clue who they are in your home for a undertermined amount of time was mad

They were denounced on here as in caring , rasicits all sorts people were saying how proud they were of Germany even talk of some wanting to move there what a cock David Cameron was for not allowing nearly 1 million people often in documented into the uk seems he and many were correct but merkel is still poised to carry on and worse still they tried to cover up the rapes so they could carry on with their open door invite

She has painted herself into a clear corner

Pinkchampchoccies · 09/01/2016 20:04

Ok, a witness (bouncer of one of the discos that was attacked) states:

According to Google translate:

"From the beginning (20.00) there was an unusually high number of Arabic-speaking men on with residence certificates . Particularly striking were these high by their alcohol level and a high level of violence , especially against women . ( ... ) Over the years, these men tried inlet to our club to get. Because of their aggressive and particularly obtrusive appearance and the high alcohol level , this was not possible , of course . Subsequently, the mood noticeably more tense and the accumulation of these groups has been getting bigger and their occurrence intrusive and aggressive .
