As many people have asked about Syria, I'm pleased to say that a new discussion on that subject has been started (by another poster here.

Isitme - if for one second you can stop obsessing over Hamas you might understand that the whole world is sick of seeing innocent men women are children being killed by Israel. Do you understand that?

Enough is enough. You come across as aggressive and bloodthirsty. Like the regime you support. And you need to address your racism which is not welcome on this thread.

Israel are doing more damage to their sovereignty, reputation and survival than Hamas could ever hope to achieve.

this is sad news. Hopefully he will be released unharmed in return for palestinian prisoners including the 200 children who are in israeli prison without trial or charge.

Reports are suggesting that Israel have gone on the rampage in Rafa because the soldier captured is a relative of the defence minister. Revenge attacks are disgusting and will do nothing to protect the captured soldier.

Interesting that Israel is reporting that the soldier has been 'kidnapped' During A Ground Invasion In Rafa During The Ceasefire.

Every other news channel reports this as a capture during combat. Not a kidnapping. No word on the hundreds of palestinians they imprisoned during the protests in the west bank and who they refuse to award prisoner status.

When asked what it was doing in Rafa During a ceasefire israel is saying it saw tunnel operations and went in to destroy it. They are absolutely fuming that a soldier has been captured. As usual blaming Hamas. Again.

Al jazeera reporting that Israel have confirmed they will ensure Hamas 'bear the consequences of their actions' . Read as Israel will now kill every palestinian man woman And child it can Read. A massive escalation is expected.

Because of course the life of one Jewish detainee is worth a thousand palestinian lives.

Islamic Jihadists are used to civilians suffering from bombs, it's what they LIVE for, until it's their time to put on the suicide vests - but why do that if you can keep goading the Israelis?

That blockade must NOT be lifted for Hamas to re arm itself and do the same again in a year or so time.

Even when Hamas kidnaps a Israeli soldier during a ceasefire to HELP those within Gaza, KNOWING what will happen, it is the Israelis fault. Priceless.

NEWSFLASH; the longer Hamas sacrifices their own for those politic objects, the support you had, will not just wither, -but the WORLD will understand Hamas is exactly the terrorist organization it sez on the can - and if THEY don't respect Palestinian lives by stopping hostilities, what can anyone else do.

Just when you think, 'surely now sanity will prevail'. Do the people supporting Israel understand fully that children are being killed? Children who have only known despair and deprivation. They have nowhere else to go, they are all alone and facing extermination. Israeli soldiers are trained to fight and kill and to defend themselves. Children are completely defenceless. Please do not tell me to blame Hamas. I will blame the people who want to wipe out a nation just so that they can freely live in the land that they stole.

Israel threatening to 'level' Gaza in revenge for the soldier captured during combat. The escalation has begun. The captured soldier is main headline news.

Meanwhile in palestine over half a million palestinians displaced, over 1500 dead, thousands suspected dead under rubble, and 10,000 injured. Where is the proportionality? Will the soldier be banned from returning to the UK as he has been fighting for an oppressor in occupied territories.

Someone needs to stop israel. I doubt the family of the captured soldier want innocent people killed to avenge his capture. They will want him released without harm.

HoneyB, I have seen the trucks carrying aid going through the crossing into Gaza with my own eyes so I KNOW it is true.
As for not spending money, Hamas seem to have managed to pay for the materials used in the tunnels they built...admittedly they also used children (160,000 of whom died during this) and so-called civillan labour.
Wonder how many of those poor little bodies have been used to portray 'Israeli victims' alongside the bodies of children (proved beyond doubt) killed by other Muslims in Syria?

Jacqui do you think israel has acted proportionately and legally by killing 40 palestinians (including women children and rescue workers in an ambulance) whilst Avenging the capture of one soldier?

Really JacquiB, do you have any independent sources to verify your information? Yes Muslims do kill, no-one is denying that. So do Christians, Jews, atheists, Buddhists and Hindus.

Jacquib I wouldn't bother sharing your opinion and the fact you have actually seen it. That will have No bearing on some on here. They would rather be keyboard warriors with no iota of understanding as to what it is to live in Israel and SOME on here will use any snippets to discredit Israel even after the finding on rockets on the sites of schools and hospitals and the use of public funds (which should be used to raise their people from the gutter) to build tunnels to murder.

Israel is full of lies and propaganda. People are waking up to their lies. They lie to cover the terror they are inflicting. Israel is a terrorist state. It is killing civilians indiscriminately. Israel needs Hamas more than anyone, it empowered Hamas for its own agenda. Whilst Hamas exists Israel has the perfect cover for genocide. There's many photos of Israel using Palestinian children as human shields, photos of Israelis cheering when civilians are killed, videos of Israelis chanting ' no more school as all the children are dead' there's enough ex idf soldiers willing to speak out against the horrors the idf commit . In the age of social media we do not believe Israel's lies and propaganda anymore. A country that has no conscience when it comes to killing innocent children is not to be believed. When someone can kill innocent children randomly, what's a few lies. The world is waking up to Israel's lies and realising they are the real terrorists.

So the US have called the "kidnap" (capture) of ONE soldier barbaric. Pity they don't have such strong words for the hundreds of dead children.
