A new thread following on from the previous one in Chat here

OP posts:
chantico · 02/01/2015 19:06

The JaneDoe was 17 at the time. That might be underage in the place where the events were alleged to have taken place.

But if it had taken place in any UK jurisdiction it would not be paedophilia.

WhistlingPot · 02/01/2015 19:53

But if it had taken place in any UK jurisdiction it would not be paedophilia.

That is true. Although sex with a minor in any jurisdiction is not to be taken lightly. I do wonder that should the allegations be true, whether he would face prosecution abroad? Or would he wave a Royal "Get out of jail free card"?

FallonColby · 02/01/2015 20:03

Regarding jurisdiction- in Vanity Fair the author alleged that G Maxwell had made arrangements for a 15 yr old girl to meet Andrew in New York and London. I don't know if the meeting followed through though or if it is the same girl.

WhistlingPot · 02/01/2015 20:25

The other thread on this has gone poof. A reminder to be careful in any assumptions. This thread has lasted so far!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 04/01/2015 09:30

Good point well made Whistling. There are too many good links and information on here, it would be a crime if it went poof.

Ladyleia · 10/01/2015 22:28

Discovered an interesting hashtag on Twitter - #OpDeathEater. It seems that the hacking group Anonymous have decided to dedicate themselves to unearthing and spreading info about all the VIPaedophiles globally. They have set up a subdivision for each country to try and bring all of this horrible stuff to light. Makes interesting reading and means that when things are found out, they can be brought into the light rather than buried, never to be heard of again...

CFSKate · 11/01/2015 12:55

twitter.com/hashtag/OpDeathEaters seems quite a wideranging hashtag. There is also twitter.com/hashtag/CSAInquiry and twitter.com/hashtag/VIPaedophiles which seem more specific. I think on twitter anyone can put any hashtag on any tweet.

Twitter accounts
twitter.com/ExaroNews
twitter.com/murunbuch

Also look at the twitter accounts of the MPs who are trying to sort this out.

WhistlingPot · 11/01/2015 14:21

From browsing through some of the twitter links, I thought this was worth a bump, around Anti-Victim Prejudice speak:

www.thephoenixpost.com/?page_id=2071

THE TOP 5 Most victim offensive AVP words/phrases; Child Prostitute – Rentboy – Child Porn – Historic Sex Crimes – Alleged Victim.

Alleged child prostitute makes historical sex crimes alleg….before they’ve even finished the sentence I’m not even sure I believe me either.

1/2 Child Prostitute/Rentboy …I was never a child prostitute …I was a prostituted child and until the child protectors understand this, they’ll never turn this paedophile tide.

3/ Child Porn – Whether the child abuser was the other side of the computer screen, behind the camera or under the blanket, they are all equally the reason that was horrible stuff was happening to me at anyone’s hands. Those ‘child abuse images’ were crime scene pictures of the rape and sexual exploitation of me as a child …and calling ‘child abuse images’ ‘child porn’ helps the PA£DOPHIL£S sell their child victims.

4/ Historic Sex Crimes - They never say historic murder or historic stabbing …they call them ‘unsolved crimes’. What is so bad about this offensive AVP trick/lie … is that whilst they say ‘historic’ nothing could be further from the truth. They say historic to give you a false sense of safety …if the paedophile has not been challenged and stopped …then they will be much worse with many more current victims. Furthermore, there’s nothing ‘historic’ about the damage and harm paedophiles leave in their destructive wake.

5/ Alleged Victim – No such thing as an alleged victim …only an ‘alleged offender’ who automatically get a whole raft of Legal Aid protected legal/human rights that victims don’t get. Nothing alleged about what happened to Sara’s daughter and her family …they never say alleged burglary or alleged car theft …it is a reported crime with an alleged offender.

Changing #AVP hearts & minds …if these are just words that mean nothing to you ….we hope you will find a way to lift them out of your speak when talking to or about those victimised by paedophiles crimes. It may mean nothing to you but it would change the world for the better for us.

ItsAKindOfRabbit · 14/01/2015 20:02

Has anyone been following the new about Ian Watkin's (Lostprophets) ex girlfriend?

Seems she reported him to the police numerous times for confessing to abusing children and sharing child pornography. They did nothing for years and eventually put her on trial.

It has a familiar ring to it :(

WhistlingPot · 17/01/2015 17:29

I did see that and had similar thoughts ItsAKindofRabbit.

There seems to be so much going on it is hard to keep up with. I seem to be a far more frequent visitor to the Ike forum for their Saville thread, if only to follow their links to news reports on this and try to ignore lots of the other stuff.

violetwellies · 22/01/2015 20:46

Does anyone know what Leon Brittan died of and will he now be hung out to dry?

violetwellies · 22/01/2015 20:49

Sorry, just read the family statement, and realised he had cancer.

hackmum · 25/01/2015 13:42

Here's the first story (that I've seen anyway) outlining the allegations against Leon Brittan:

www.exaronews.com/articles/5464/leon-brittan-was-under-met-probe-over-claims-of-child-sex-abuse

CFSKate · 25/01/2015 16:09

hackmum - there are articles in the Mail, Mirror, Star. Also www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2924864/Hacking-group-Anonymous-target-paedophiles.html

cookietrue22 · 26/01/2015 19:20

Thank you so much for all of the links ladies, I've been reading and trying to digest all of this shocking info for the past couple of days. I was aware of some of this but the true scale is just beyond comprehension.

bunchoffives · 25/02/2015 23:44

Saville abuse at Stoke Mandeville report is due tomorrow.

The BBc are saying there were 50+ victims - youngest just 8 years old. Some victims were paralysed.

There are records of 10 victims reporting their abuse at Saville's hands - but they were all ignored.

Saville also had access to the mortuary and was alone there.

JetcatisBack · 26/02/2015 10:36

God this thread is very hard to read Sad

A question though, if that's ok. If someone had a worry that they may be involved in all this (as a victim - just to be clear), but main abuser was now dead - what, if anything could be done?

mimishimmi · 27/02/2015 11:54

Sadly I believe all this. I was molested when I was 8 years old by a boy in his late teens. My father said the police did nothing and only recently I found out (although my parents knew for years) that his very well-connected father was known to be engaged in similar activity and was similarly 'protected'. Whenever their reputation came to light, they simply moved.

Darkness in high places indeed. Demographically though, I think it's come back to bite them big time.

bunchoffives · 27/02/2015 19:53

Not sure what you're asking Jet? Do you mean can you report abuse if the abuser is dead? The answer of course is yes, cf Savile

Or do you mean what action could be taken? I suppose it could still be investigated and if there corroboration it might make the victim feel vindicated and able to put their experiences behind them?

bunchoffives · 27/02/2015 19:54

Sorry about your experiences Mimi. To know that there has been a cover up in your case that prevented prosecution must make getting past the abuse even harder.

Would you consider reporting again now?

JetcatisBack · 27/02/2015 21:34

Bunch - I mean if the abuse had already been reported but others from a higher ranking authority were then involved so no charges were brought. I guess I'm asking, if the possibility of a cover up exists, what happens then?

I've c&p this from my post on another thread.

Clyro Court near Hay on Wye - also known as Baskerville Hall - is a big country house that hosts functions.
It has several large hotel size state rooms, many other smaller twin rooms, and somewhat incongruously, two dormitories of basic metal bunk beds.
I know because I worked there once.
The place is a weird mix of shabby and seedy and sweeping staircases with wood panelling.

One of the young men working with me had come up from Brighton for the weekend. He told me that in the eighties he and his friends from Brighton, all teenagers, had regularly been piled into minibuses and brought up to Clyro Court 'to party with Tory MPs'.

I think what happened there may have been on a similar scale to Elm Court. I've never seen anything else about it on the net though.

bunchoffives · 01/03/2015 00:28

OMG Cutted, I went there in the late 70s as a teen. IT was very weird. I think they hosted murder mystery weekend type things.

Can't remember what sort of party there I went to but it with a parent so nothing untoward happened thankfully. But it did have a reputation. But then Hay was so weird anyway...
