November Slatterns/Listmakers - one year on and still taking baby steps.........

1000 replies

alwayslookingforanswers · 31/10/2009 23:39

Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

Hello.

Sorry not been about. Haven't read through so hope everyone is ok. Have been doing lots and achieving nothing. Pretty knackered really. I've got a bit of a cold. DD is ok, she is 6 weeks old now!

DH had the swine flu jab on Monday and is fine apart from a sore arm where he had the jab.

It was a busy day today and DS had a melt down at bed time with 'I want sweeties' etc. Sooooo annoying. He's in bed now thankfully.

Exhausted thinking about tomorrow but here goes. Chocolate is calling...

Tomorrow
DS to school
Tidy dining room
tidy kitchen
Tidy lounge
dishy on
dishy emptied
washing on
washing hung out
washing put away
Tidy bedroom
Empty bins

Go to town
Quick food shop

Entertain DS - possibly with glitter and glue

Cook dinner - sausages and mash

Crash and burn

JKS - don't joke. I know thats going to happen!

Feeling a bit numb at the moment. Not happy not sad. Its probably a) exhaustion and b) breastfeeding hormones.

DS really excited about putting up the xmas tree. How soon is too soon? Are you putting your decs up tomorrow?

JustKeepSparkling · 02/12/2009 21:28

yes decs up tomorrow - hopefully get everything done in one go.

Listen, they won't start fighting for ages yet. DD will have her absolutely gorgeous few months old phase and you'll go all gooey.
there's a long while before she'll be into his toys.
DS is older than my ds1 was anyway. and you can go with the gender differences so they won't necessarily want to play with the same things.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 02/12/2009 21:54

Will be better than me and my sister sharing a room then .

cikecaka · 02/12/2009 22:41

Alice, congratulations! How exciting.

CC, hope DD gets better soon.

We won't be putting our decs up for at least a fortnight.

DH is away tomorrow for 12 days straight, and we prob won't trim til the 19th/20th. We're having a snuggly night with a bottle of wine later, after panicking about him not owning enough clothes to be away for 12 days.

See you in the morning with a lonely list.
