November Slatterns/Listmakers - one year on and still taking baby steps.........

1000 replies

alwayslookingforanswers · 31/10/2009 23:39

Yes - Slatterns (now Slatterns and Listmakers) is now a year old.

Come and join us if you're a slattern, or simply like making lists for jobs you want to get done each day/week/month.

Never thought 12 months ago that a thread I started to help me get the bare minimum done at home when I was feeling shite would still be going strong 12 months later - even with me frequently AWOL in recent months.

Everyone is welcome, we're a friendly bunch.

OP posts:

Good Morning

Plum we seem to have been very unlucky with our car, rather than the make/model iyswim? There don't seem to be many old ones for sale, but you see lots being driven about (if that makes sense) When we bought the car i was 8 months pg, and getting desperate. We went to what we thought was a dealer, but turned out to be one bloke with a load of cars in his garden so no warranty. Pwer steering broke 4 weeks later this time going through a proper dealership.

Everyone up done
Everyone dressed done
Everyone breakfast doing
Make beds done
Load the dishwasher done
Put washload on done
Tidy DD's room done
Go to stay and play
Phone garage about picking stuff up out of car
Find a scrap yard that will pick car up
Sort out with tax and insurance
Clean kitchen
Clean hob
Dry washing
Try out some sweet recipes
Do the ironing
Do horses
Cook dinner
DD bed
Write christmas cards

PlumBumMum · 02/12/2009 10:29

Good luck Alice, I'm funny about cars I get very attached so can understand wanting to get the same one too.

Madamemoo I am working on an elephant engagement cake, PICS ON PROFILE, not entirely happy with elephants but dh says thats the perfectionist in me, so I have put them in the cupboard out of the way so I don't touch them
Also another of the castle cakes and a camping one for dhs cousin that I haven't really put too much thought to yet so hope it works out

Hi everyone else & welcome Simpson

JKS are you still on course for hospital and early Xmas?

I have soo much to do, need to do my "christmas Clean" before dcs start to torture me about the tree!

And We need to start thinking of a nice new thread title polishing our balls and dusting our stockings

JustKeepSparkling · 02/12/2009 11:02

Plum - i like that thread title
The elephants are fab!

Yes we are on course for an early Christmas. I'm not cleaning before decorations, though will def need it afterwards, they always seem to gather dust

Though i do need to dustbust the landing where the dust from the attic made a mess!

Going to finish tea then postbox, chemist & doc trip.

Well obviously someone didn't like girl elephant because I couldn't help myself lifted them to have another look and...................DROPPED both elephants on floor
When I got over shock only thing that got damaged was girl elephants trunk so she now has a new slightly smaller head and trunk and I'm alot happier with her
