Good morning all

flame hugs for you, why not have a little sit down and a drink (not lemon squash obviously ) and a biscuit

We had a great shopping trip and meal out yesterday. We found some really good waterproof salopettes and coat for DD that came to £38(ish) for both, then we stocked up at lush and i had a 10%off voucher so that helped (plus, we are sure they must have missed something off, haven't checked the receipt, but it seems a bit too cheap) then popped into book shop where DH had a £10 voucher for that had been in his wallet forever and got a camping book, then went to La tasca for dineer as i had a 50% off voucher (saved us £20!!!)

I'm going to try again with yesterday's list

I would say expect tears Ali - not necessarily at the appointment, but over the next few days iyswim.

Receptionist at school (DS's fave person in the world), took one look at my face, heard the chicken rant, and called my mum down to the office (she works upstairs). I now have a pork joint to replace the chicken, and hugs I was very good, normally I would have ended up sobbing randomly about it all, but have held myself together. She even said I could borrow some pegs Have now found mine though, cunningly hidden where they live, but buried under a towel (tis madness... pegs being in the right place - on the towel rail, and a towel being on there too ).

Have put washing out, next load in, and now I quit until preschool pick up.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 24/09/2009 10:07

Typical - complained that internet keeps going off at home at 8.30pm every night and guess what....now it doesn't work at ALL! How am I going to buy all the lovely new baby crap things I crave need.

At work. Sneaky mumsnetting. Bump feeling normal today. Did loads yesterday but not able to check them off list .

CWWM - nightmare HV. BF under pressure never works. Silly woman. That is one thing I am not looking forward to. My HV came out with some classics when I had PND last time e.g. 'even someone who lives in a lovely home like this can have PND' - er thanks.

Flame - you lucky thing re engagement, not DS / chicken debacle (how annoying). Hope baby arrives soon although only after you have fully prepared, house, family and yourself. Still giggle at Jools Olivers book about how she preens herself as she goes into first stage of labour ready for the docs. Bless.

Jobs
Gestate 37 weeks doing
Get bathroom rug
Fix internet
Usual masses of filing doneabit
facial for birthday etc.

Buy few things for hospital

Put up crib.
Get some DVD's to watch whilst breastfeeding
Sort kitchen food cupboards

claireybee · 24/09/2009 10:25

Blimey at these HV's, do they do a qualification in twattery or something? (or do I mean twatishness?!)

Am at near crisis point with clutter again so think I am going to do the 15 min things. It is mainly papers, stuff for filing, books, pens and toys. Which do you reckon would be more effective
a) spending each 15 mins blitzing one area or
b) going round whole house with a box and collecting all toys first, then books, then pens etc?

Have had mild period cramps on and off for 3 days now but no period yet. Very annoying because I normally only get them (quite strong) the day I come on. (PBM is it mooncup sterilising time for us yet??Not even sure where mine is)

All up, dressed, breakfasted - DONE
Washing up -
Wipe kitchen sides and dining table ?
Load of washing in ? DONE
Take dd to pre-school -DONE
Hang load of washing on line- DONE
Load of towels in ?DONE

claireybee · 24/09/2009 10:27

Flamesparrow · 24/09/2009 10:41

15 mins in an area - put it all in one box, and then relocate after the 15 mins to the right places/bin etc but not during the 15 mins or you get distracted.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 24/09/2009 10:48

Thanks CWWM and Flame. Flame thanks for the warning - I will warn DH. He is worried about me having it.
Gah there is a huge part of me that wants to chicken out and not go. But my Mum is coming so I can't, she will make me. I know I need to do it, but.....
Ignore my ramblings everyone, sorry.
