Stealing Ali's title as just realised we're out of room, and hopefully all lost slatterns will find us!!!

Flamesparrow · 20/09/2009 14:23

Dude fell asleep in the car.... silly not to add "wash wee out of car seat" to the list of jobs He never does that!!!

Does anyone have an update on JKS?

(will come back to post more later)

JustKeepSwimming · 20/09/2009 14:31

Hey all I'm here, thanks for all the good wishes

Well DS2 was kept in overnight - his breathing was really not great. Had 2-hrly nebuliser through the night - dh came home last night as planned, then came into hosp so he stayed last night & I got a relatively decent night's sleep.
They suspected swine flu but think we talked them out of that - though we will hear results on Tues. Didn't want him to have tamiflu for no good reason.
He's on ABs for a throat infection.
On Ventalin for a viral chest infection.
with open pass back into children's ward if needed.

Will have to see what GOSH say tomorrow re our Wed appt & tests

Anyway he & DH are sleeping.
DS1 & I are in the 'cinema' - popcorn made, curtains shut, film on

Poor DS2 JKS, though I did smile at the thought of your own personal cinema.

Just been shopping to buy DH new clothes for the christening. Bought DN some clothes as well. What does a Godfather buy as a present???

Bought DD3 a new outfit as well, though she is only coming to the Church bit as we are going to a pub for the afters, she will be going to my sisters as I am not a great lover of small children in a pub, plus I dont want to spend the afternoon running round after her! (Am I being very mean? )

Promise to start afresh in the morning with my list

JustKeepSwimming · 20/09/2009 19:31

Thanks all

We liked the cinema too!! Was hard work prising him out of the living room later for some fresh air though!

CC - we gave money to our Godchildren & I bought them each (2 sisters) a dreamcatcher thing with their birthstone. (we're not v religious btw). Traditionally a nicely bound bible or a crucifix on a chain to wear when she's older?

JustKeepSwimming · 20/09/2009 20:50

Nooo Lottie - don't do it to yourself!!!!

Glad you came over, hope you enjoy and get some stuff done!

cikecaka · 20/09/2009 20:55

Welcome Lottie. JKS, its my DHs Nephew that is being christened. Thought I might put money in the card along with the clothes. I was delighted with myself buying Baby Boy clothes because its 13 years since I last did (apart from a few presents, but its lovely to buy when you know you are going to be involved with the baby)

Flamesparrow · 21/09/2009 08:08

Yup, cover was all removable - it was just one extra thing iyswim.

Remembering one of the worst things about these last few weeks of pregnancy - everything becomes a possible labour symptom, tis like when you are ttc but the other way round! I have back ache, stomach ache and (far tmi alert) the sh*ts.... all things that signify labour for me, or a bug

JustKeepSwimming · 21/09/2009 08:26

Lottie - hope to see on here today, lol!

Flame - grr, hope it's not labour yet, or would you like it to be?

CC - dunno why i thought it was girl being christened, sorry!

DS2 up in the night once, so had more ventalin then and went back to sleep. DS1 got up late for him so yey!

chaosisawayoflife · 21/09/2009 08:29

Hi all

Can I join in? Not read all the thread I'm afraid, just the first couple of pages but I know if I carry on I'll end up reading it all day and not actually doing anything. I'm a complete slattern, sahm of a 16 month old and generally do the bare minimum but want to get myself into good habits before I potentially go back to work (just sent in an application form and waiting to hear).

So, plans for today:
Get me and dd dressed
Put away washing up and clean sink - done
Wipe down kitchen surfaces - done
Load of washing - done more to do
Put away washing once dry
Take dd to m&b group
Meet friend for lunch
Tidy and hoover living room
Cook lasagne
Clean kitchen bin
Buy stardrops, limescale remover and washing tablets.

Flamesparrow · 21/09/2009 08:29

I'm tired and pissed off now. I just want it out.

Yay for DS2 getting sleep

cikecaka · 21/09/2009 08:52

Right this is it, time to get my house back in order, going to start at 9. Think I will set my clock and do some 15 mins slots

JustKeepSwimming · 21/09/2009 08:54

Go for it CC!

Flame - i remember that fed up feeling!

Right, so if ds2 has suspected Swine Flu - but he really doesn't - should i avoid going anywhere with him? was only thinking wandering round supermarket after lunch if he's awake.
Don't think i can stay in all day (apart from school run x 2)!

Bloomin' heck Falme, it doesn't seem two minutes since you were announcing being pg!

JKS - Poor little DS!

I am fed up of this cold we've all got.

There was tooo much going on to fill you in with everything, but the Sat before we went on holiday my nephew had febrile convulsions, and then while we were away he had a 'moment'. Very scary. DS caught the infection, but luckily didn't have the same reaction. Then they caught a snotty cold to bring back from Butlins.
DN had a fever again yesterday, poor SIL. We're keeping Calpol in business I can tell you.

Anyway, list!
