Morning all

Welcome Lottie and Chaos!

Well I was fully intending to just copy and paste my list from yesterday and not stop until it was complete BUT

At 2.30 dd2 called she needed to go to toilet
At 4.30 heard MUM again, rain in and dd2 &ds fast asleep, so standing in hall heard dd1 shout mum
not good if she is calling at this time,
went in There is something under my bed,
(she has one of those princess beds that is raised up and looks like a little den underneathfor all her crap stuff)

so I have a look, here a noise, there are two toys lift them up and move them,
go back to bed 20mins later she calls again, its still there,
so I go in and listen yeap sounds like a bloody family of mice having a party under her bed,
go get dh, who goes and gets some traps, and dd2 slept with us,
so the long and short of it I'm going to rearrange her furniture today and see whats going on
I had planned to do it anyway but now I'm on a MOUSEHUNT[EEK]

Dear God clairey, I've just had to tuck my feet under me so they aren't on the floor!

Plum - we had mice when I was pregnant, one ran out from under our bed!!! We bought a couple of those sonic things, they send a pulse through your wiring which keeps them away. I've not seen, heard a whisker or a poo or a scratching in the walls since.

JKS - what happened? (((hugs)))

JustKeepSwimming · 21/09/2009 11:08

Really nothing, it's all so stupid!

I had 2 things to post, one 1st class in the UK, got stamp for that.

Then put small parcel on the scales, said it was for France (for niece).
She was getting out a Large 1st class stamp & i thought that was not right, so i repeated, it's for France.

She said: Oh I didn't know that, you didn't say....
Me: dignified silence (she is a newbie there so didn't want to be mean)
Her: calls over other woman to help as she's put it through the till
Her to other woman: She didn't say it was for France
Me: thinking....
Me: Actually I don't want to make a fuss but I did say it was for France

correct postage & parcel sent

See? nothing!
But it sent me over the edge of whatever I'm on. still feel upset actually.
and it's nothing!!!

It prob shows that's i'm majorly depressed or something but i refuse to be so i'm trying to shake myself and get over it.
They are not a v nice bunch of ladies in there tbh, customer service is not their speciality!! Would not go in there out of choice except it's round the corner and i can't always get to a nicer staffed one that's a drive away.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 21/09/2009 11:13

You are right that on it's own it's nothing, but stuff like that really gets to me too. I end up running over the conversation again in my head and getting all worked up. I decided that a lot of it is vanity, I can't bear to think that people might think i'm thick!

You do have a huge amount on your plate atm JKS, there is no shame in admitting that things are getting on top of you. Is your GP aware of everything that's going on and supportive of you?

JustKeepSwimming · 21/09/2009 11:39

Ali - I know, i could have just left it and pretended i hadn't said anything. but one of the other ladies gave me this look like 'stupid her for not saying' and i couldn't leave it!!
The GPs know about H, but prob not about the weekend - not sure how long it takes for news to filter back to them ages i should think.
Just need to a) get some answers from GOSH, b) a surgery date & c) a few days away...

Stomach bug or labour - it has all stopped again anyway . I still have 3 1/2 weeks.

JKS - the post office would have had me in tears tbh.

PlumBumMum · 21/09/2009 12:34

Well all contents of room have been rearranged, not a dropping!
Although Clairey when dh was out getting traps last night a big black thing did crawl from under the bed[yuck]

I would be really surprised if we had mice, even though we are surrounded by fields,

we'll be here 4 years in Jan and never had one, previous owners said never had one,
BUT again with dodgy tumble drier a few weeks ago I pulled it out, thought it was going on fire, and think the hose popped out of the wall,
dh is going to have a look later

JKS its just with all thats happening, I get like that, but then I cry at Home and Away

CWWM glad you came back sorry about dd1

Right need to go get lunch on,
and then when I get dd1 back from school we are going to tackle all her precious things, (otherwise known as all the crap that 8 year old girls accumulate)!
Have already threw some stuff out though
