I wore black to the wedding last week (with v dark red graduating to bright red shoes, and a red wrap). No-one seemed bothered.

No list, just sticking head in really.

Plan for the weekend is to finish the bedroom, after that I feel I am ready for this baby. The rest (diningroom etc) is a plus - if I have space for a birth pool/clean house for home birth then yay, if not, Bournemouth hospital has a great maternity unit

DH has taken DC to the cinema (as per our bribe last week to allow them to go to the wedding like he wanted). I think I may have hit a nerve last week... I was a teeny bit tipsy when I said to him that it was all very well being loving father when he wanted to show them off, but what about the rest of the time - this week he has been much more attentive to them, and even took DS to the park with me after preschool on Thursday (NEVER happens!) . Feel a bit for having been so hard on him - he is a good dad, but also slightly chuffed that it had this effect.

RainbowDrops · 12/09/2009 14:21

Hi all

No list from me today, I am feeling like c**p, whatever DS3 has had I have now got.

alice aw.. I want a kitty cat now
I have been racking my brains for a name, but all I have come up with is Garfield or Garf for short

HMHB Enjoy the wedding, I haven't been to a wedding in ages, my brother and to be SIL canceled theirs because she is expecting.

flame You live near me, I live in sunny Weymouth!! Well done on giving your DH a gentle kick in the right direction, don't be it's obviously worked and you can now tell him what a great dad he is!! I have to give my DH a kick up the bum where the DC are concerned sometimes, he gets all wrapped up with work and providing for them that he forgets all they want is a cuddle and play!!

I will be back on monday with a long list, I know the house will be a dump by the end of the weekend.

RainbowDrops · 12/09/2009 14:33

Where is everyone??

JKS how did the hospital visit go?

NaughtyAlice · 12/09/2009 17:52

We have our kitten!! He is very sweet, completely unbothered by our feral toddler and we named him Loki

Flamesparrow · 12/09/2009 19:53

Frizbe (another MNer) has a kitten called Loki! Tis a fabulous name for a cat imo

Yes can confirm we have been out enjoying the sun.
Took DS to beach and dropped of DH so he can cycle over the mountains back home [absolutely mental emoticon} .

He has decided that since DC2 is imminent he needs to get a bit of mountain biking out of his system as he won't be able to go on longer rides for a while - bless.

Wedding was lovely. We were in a registry office and DS shouted out 'I need a wee' in that special winey voice while they were doing the vows. DH and I mortified, rest of guests highly entertained.

Jobs
Have nice cup of tea
Gestate 36 weeks doing
Dishy emptied done
Dishy on
Clear up after lunch
Put recycling out done
Empty kitchen bin done
2 loads washing on line done
Washing on
Make dinner
Bring washing in and put away
Bath DS
Usual masses of filing - where does it come from!

Think of colour to paint spare room - a creamy sunny colour I was thinking.
Empty spare room ready for decorating

Buy more trousers for DS
Pack hospital bag!
Think of baby names! - eek
Get some early nights

Before October

Clear out freezer / defrost and fill with delicious ready meals
Buy lots of 'healthy' snack type stuff to eat on the run
Get out all baby clothes from under the bed and check
Make space in DS's bedroom for baby clothes and stuff
Put up crib.
Get some DVD's to watch whilst breastfeeding
Sort kitchen food cupboards

JustKeepSwimming · 13/09/2009 18:24

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 13/09/2009 18:56

JKS - good news about DS. Even without the routine he sounds good!. He should soon settle down once has been at home for a bit.

Our DS loves a routine, in fact we are a bit late for tea time today and he would rather have for milk and bed than eat late (bless). And I've just 'thrown' together a pasta sauce after discovering lack of jars in the pantry .

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 13/09/2009 19:45

Flame - Looks like you are doing really well. Are you having a home birth? I tried and failed last time and can't do it this time as had ECS.

I have done too much today. Am knackered and bump really aching. DS decided he did want pasta after all although not the pasta I had cooked. I lost it and am now sulking. DH made new pasta for DS (softie) which DS didn't eat as too tired. DH putting him to bed now.

What with working full time and looking after DS I have no idea when I am going to 1) Pack the ruddy hospital bag and 2) sort out the baby things in time.

By the time it comes to evening my back / bump are aching so much I can't get anything done....aarrrgh.

My maternity leave starts on 1st Oct. Baby due on 15th so might be able to get it sorted then. Sorry for rant. Hormones rampaging.

PlumBumMum · 13/09/2009 19:55

waves to all, was going to start sniffing my armpits soon if noone appeared

Well I am tackling the mountain of clean washing,

Flame sorting stuff from Loft deserves capitals and bold, (as someone who takes forever to do anything that requires the loft, I applaud you)

Yup - planning homebirth - so NEED dining room sorted as it is where the pool is going.

Didn't realise that we are due within days of each other (thought you were 1st Oct) HMHB!

DH tried to be all calming and assure me that it isn't much longer. I looked at him. He gave up and went with silent hugs

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 13/09/2009 21:24

Evening ladies

HMHB - take it easy!! Can you move your mat leave or go off sick for the next couple of weeks?

Flame - well done .

JKS - . That is excellent news!

Plum - you have done loads today!!

We have been down at my parents today, Mum cooked a lovely roast which DS ate with great enthusiasm, we also went out for a walk and picked blackberries - yum!
I've been really out of it for a few days with this cold, DH has been a star but I really need to get my act together tomorrow. Just going to put DS to bed and then I'll be back with tomorrow's list.

My dates have shuffled back and forth, but they vary between 16th -20th Oct. I still maintain that each child so far has clashed with family/friend birthdays, so imo I am due either 9th (Dad) or 25th (Mum).

I haven't the energy to do a list right now. They have been awake since 6.50am and squabbling for every single minute teachers will be lucky if I bother to collect from school.
