All my windows have wooden blinds in now, thats why I am dysoning them regularly, in the hope I will never have the mammoth task of babywiping them ever again!!

JKS Enjoy your meal!!

My DH is baffled about posting lists on MN too. I have told him that it's socialable housekeeping that is environmentaly friendly and no different to him writing in his things to do book that he bought in town the other week!!

HMHB I love a good fry up!! Enjoy being a couch potato

I'm off to bed now with a bowl of icecream and my book

PlumBumMum · 26/08/2009 21:26

Peppa my dh dosen't like MN, he can't understand why I would want to chat to people on the internet, and when I first logged on I was always on it so he was not impressed

Also he had a friend he used to work with and his wife ran off with a woman she met on the internet so I think he would die if I said that I was going to an MN meet up

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/08/2009 23:23

Plum -

Peppa - at icecream in bed!

HMHB - take it easy if you're tired
DH gets annoyed at the amount of time I spend on here, and he thinks the lists are mental but does conceed that the house is much cleaner and tidier because of them! MN has also really helped my PND for which he is hugely grateful.

I read what you all wrote, and I've forgotten it all already

Plan for the day is the tip this afternoon, and driving out to a theatre supplies place to get some rigid corrodion (don't ask) for DH's joker makeup at the weekend. I think he is getting a leetle bit carried away. He spent the best part of TWO HOURS last night on youtube looking up make up tutorials (which I then got to sit and watch seeing as I am doing the makeup), and I think he plans to have unburied the dining room table by the end of the day so that I can make the waistcoat.

ithinkmydaughterispeppapig · 27/08/2009 08:58

ali my DH gets a little annoyed sometimes when I spend to much time on here too, just like I get annoyed when he spends to much time tinkering with his radio controlled car , each to their own I suppose!!

Flamesparrow · 27/08/2009 09:01

I was wrong - it is collodion

DH wasn't all that bothered and then suddenly went nuts.

Never had a problem with how much time I spent on MN - one of the perks of being married to a gamer, we just ignore each other for our respective pixel joy.

DS playing up already. I should get off here and supervise more.

wastingmyevening · 27/08/2009 09:05

Oh bugger clouds are covering up the blue skies already boohoo.

The other week I had an over ripe banana and some fruit flies came - so I binned banana. But the wee fuckers are still here. Keep cleaning everything but they wont LEAVE. Help me kill them please!

Flamesparrow · 27/08/2009 10:19

How the hell am I meant to do this when he just gets worse by the day?? DS has just climbed onto the kitchen window and attempted to wee out of it - but just succeeded in p*ssing all over the side instead. WTF is that about??? Why??? There is no reason for it. I get him attention, I have been sat cuddling him for ages. Now I don't want to be anywhere near him.

I don't understand how I can be failing this much.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/08/2009 10:31

Giraffes we get fruit flies, I bloody hate them. The only thing to do is keep cleaning, and I go around killing them by swiping them with a wet dishcloth.

Flame DH and I both game, not so much as we used to! He's an IT geek and normally if I'm on here in the evening he can be found in the garage tinkering with his server

DH and I are both feeling a lot better today. Sore throats still, but pretty much ok apart from that.

You are not failing flame sometimes kids are just little buggers for the hell of it! It is what being a child is about, testing the boundries, trying new things out, seeing how far you can push mum til she snaps Think of it as proof of his sense of security. He knows he will get told off, but you will still love him anyway. Does that make any sense? BTW, what game is your DH into? My Dh was very into something called Runescape (i think) and now plays Lord Of The Rings through the internet (i think thats how it works ) He is such a geek but life is better now we have 2 computers.

Right now loving him is proving very hard

DH is playing world of warcraft again atm. He goes through phases with various games. It was call of duty for ages. I play for a bit every now and then, but my attention span is too short for much.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 27/08/2009 11:02

Oh Flame What a nightmare for you.

OP posts:

Hello ladies,

Flame - You are not failing! Its probably a phase and he'll move on. DS was obsessed with poo for a few months earlier this year and was apparently asking to watch other kids go to the loo at nursery. Thankfully he seems fairly normal now . DS currently hates me and loves DH. They do it because they know they are getting to us. Just have to ignore. In 15 years time or so he will have left home and it won't matter .

JKS - breathe!

DS up in the night with a nightmare because he had a 'softie' on his leg. No idea what he was on about but checked the bed for so called 'softies' and he settled back to sleep.

flame It is so hard isn't it, My DS2 has always been a handful, very active, cheeky and no matter how much attention he gets he still does silly things. I could write a book about all of his tricks!! When he was 3 he asked me if he could do a poo in the wooden play house, I obviously said NO but when my back was turned he did it anyway

to all

I have actually finished the cupboard, we now have 3 or 4 pairs of shoes each in there (the rest of mine are in my wardrobe). The colouring, painting, crafty things are all tidy. All the crap has been binned, I wonder how long it will stay that way

I have been inspired to sort through the pan cupboard in the kitchen now, I'll be back later with a progress report!!

Well I have sorted the pan cupboard and chucked a couple old baking trays and tidyed it, it wasn't as bad as I thought I was going to be.

I didn't have to call my Nanny because she called me to say that My Grandad has been taken to hospital with a chest infection, which is not good as he had a lung removed 8 years ago due to Cancer. We have all got our fingers cross that he will be OK, he has come through episodes like this before.

Hi everyone

Went to Tesco and got a lovely pair of black trousers for the funeral, was able to double up my points and they didn't cost me anything

Flame
I definitely think they know when to push our buttons for maxium effect
YOU ARE NOT FAILING

Pepps hope your grandad is alright, I've only ever had a granny, and my great granny(shes dead now) the rest of my grandparents were all dead long before I was born

Flamesparrow · 27/08/2009 16:37

I'm slightly more stable now DH is home.

No real story to DS tbh, just becoming more and more unmanageable. I think a lot of it is boredom and knowing he can push me because I am pregnant. I'm just not coping in the slightest because I am off the meds (sat and sobbed on DH earlier "I miss my pills"). I know it is what I want for the baby, but it is still hard iyswim.

Oodles of cr&p taken to the tip Most embarrassing thing would be when I dug my way through the clothes pile to get out an old computer chair to take, passed it across and then saw another computer chair waiting to go .
