Here it is, not very interesting i'm afraid.

I wrote a huge post this morning that i was going to post in the slatterns chat thread (hiding) but then bloody mn went offline!!! Thought i had saved it but sadly no.
Basically, it is the woman who owns our livery yard. She was selling her horse, the buyer wanted horse vetted, vet failed the horse and implied that in reality it was only good for retirement and the odd bit of walk and trot. Sadly this is about right, although i have never said this to her. Vet works at same place as DH and now she has a personal vendetta against vet practice. She is even going so far as to put up a sign in her cafe (it is a show centre) to say they would strongly advise their customers to stay away from ....vet pactice (which is foolish imo) Anyway, during this rant she added some comments as to how i deal with my horses and "at least i don't..... " Then proceded with "i will not have them on my yard again and i'm sorry if that makes it difficult for your DH but if you want to leave that would be fine with me"

I know she was upset, but do you think that is a bit unreasonable? It is really stressing me out.

giraffesCantReadShiteTabloids · 23/08/2009 13:53

Yes that does sound unreasonable Alice

Hi everyone. Was on night shift lastnight - loved it, am still buzzing from it. Off to have a tidy up going to do things in reverse today - tiday and then come and post a list of what I have done.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/08/2009 15:21

Giraffes - buzzing after night shift? shouldn't you be sleepy?!

NA - it sounds totally unreasonable, esp the sign in the cafe bit! She sounds like she was deluding herself about the fitness of the horse too. Will it make life difficult for you? would you move yards? (is that possible?)

This Is - hope you have recovered from an MN flaming!

Have abandoned toilet training & pants for now, we weren't really getting anywhere. will try again soon.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/08/2009 17:04

Hello slatterns

Plum - I had the treacle thing last week, it's awful.

JKS - bad luck on the potty training, I guess he will do it when he's ready and not before!

We've been down at SIL's mostly this weekend. It hasn't been as bad as I expected, we were all very polite to each other and had a good time. DS made friends with his cousin who is 6 - just took to her like a duck to water and kept crawling over to her for cuddles, it was lovely! I am knackered, we were home late last night and then went back there today. DS was overtired and DH was snoring, so I booted him into the spare room and then ended up with DS in bed with me from 4am onwards . I did manage a couple of hours this morning before we went, but I'm praying for a good night tonight!

Just going to do a little list, I hate to start Monday morning 'behind' as it were.

Plum he is a bit meh about stuff that isn't directly affecting him iyswim? Not that he doesn't care, just in this case he thinks the only outcome is that she will end up looking like yet another mad horse woman. Doesn't seem to register how much it has stressed me out, more just we'll sort things out if and when it comes to it sort of thing.
