I think I have figured out how to type without keys now...hopefully it will be comprehensible anyway (i am typing very very slowly and it is frustrating)

Read secret life of a slummy mummy over weekend.overall was a bit meh but one bit she is tellig her friends all about allthe different lists of things to do and it was v true to life and made me thinkof this thread! Short term list, urgent list, long term, the daily grind that noone gives you any credit for doing and then the unforseen disasters (for me this weekend a poo trodden into carpet, board games all tipped out and mixed up, dd wettigthebed 3 nights running and duvet needig washing two of those and cereal all over floor!).

alice I know it properly won't all get done, DS3 had a long nap this morning so I used the time to get on with the more important things on my list instead of catching up on sky+ed TV!!

I have done my bedroom recently too. My mission this week is finish sorting the hall cupboard, I know it was last weeks mission but its in such a state I do a little and then I just shut the door

Flame my dinning room is filled with all my clean washing!

plum I have been ruthless, if DS 1 and 2 took more than 5 seconds to decide whether they wanted an item of clothing or not it was put in the charity shop or car boot bag!!

I have also just spent 15 mins in the hall cupboard and now have half a black sack full of rubbish and I am sure there will be more.

My energy has run out, so I am going to have a cuppa and read some of my book, then I will try to get more done

Cleared the part of the kitchen worktop where everything gets shoved(I can't be the only one)

1st I've never been to one let alone do one

Afternoon Slatterns Very late with my list, been busy so far! DH is feeling worse today so he's mainly staying upstairs out of the way - he really must be unwell!

Main task this afternoon now is the online shopping. Has anyone got any yummy, resonably healthy and not too expensive meals that they can recommend? I feel like we're eating the same things over and over atm.

Flame - they don't need much when they are tiny, a few sleepsuits and a cardi and you're sorted

Plum - I have that section on my worktop, it needs dealing with actually

JKS - you have reminded me that I need to do a teddy wash. It's going to be v.hot here on Thursday apparently so I think I'll do it then and hang them out to dry.

Well I've had a change of plan as a friend came over, so all the things that involve leaving the house will have to wait to tomorrow because I can't be bothered to dress DD again, she has stripped down to her knickers, she just likes to be naked and I have to do something about the state of the kitchen.

plum I have put a load of stuff in the loft to take to the carboot, it properly won't happen until next spring thoughloft has been converted into a area for the DC to play Scalextric and train set etc but atm you cannot see the floor because of all the stuff thats up there. When they go back to school I was planning to tidy it.

Yep PBM we have that bit of worktop too,feel so much better when it's clear though. I had a load of stuff waiting to carboot but I never got round to it so sent it to charity instead

I was v good earlier and was sorting allthe washing onmy bed. Got to the last basket and there was aHUGE spider looking at me. Was so big I thought it aws fake at first. Ranintothebathroom with the basket and threw the whole lot inthe bath. Will make dh deal with it when he gets home. I had to do a wee in dd's potty and empty it down the outside drain because I couldn't go in the bathroom

fish pie I buy tesco pish pie mix and then bullk it out with market value prawns and frozen peas, hollandaise sauce and topped with mash

I made cottage pie last week and mashed parsnip through the potatoes it was yummy

pork & leek sausages red onion gravy and champ

baked potatoes topped with bacon mushroom cheese & scallions(JKS thats what we had instead of the dodgy chicken)

all my ideas are quite boring

I think I am getting flu now as well, got a horrid sore throat that has just come on in the last hour or so - which is how DH's started.

JKS - it sounds like a leapfrog thing to me. I can't see anything online but they have something that could be what you are describing in our local ToysRUs.

Plum- thanks for the dinner ideas. The jackets are a really good thought, we would all really enjoy those (what is a scallion though??). I am allergic to shellfish so unfortunately the fish pie is out.
