Wow! just want to say that sugar soap is amazing!!!! Have just done the back of the bathroom door and some of the skirting in the bathroom and one wall - sparkling! (we live in an old house where everything is rough and bumpy and dirt really sticks)

Have just realised that it is the week before AF so will be on a super manic mission, which is great timing as we are having another BBQ on sunday (if anyone is about, you are welcome to come!)

HMHB

SIL gave me Time Travellers Wife and I forgot to bring it home from MIL although I wouldn't have got my cleaning done because I would have started reading it

ThisIsWhyYouWereToldNotTo · 22/08/2009 18:19

Oooh pampering sounds gooooooooooooood

Gotten very little done today (no, I lie - I did all that emailing suppliers etc this morning didn't I! yay for lists )

Fell out with the short one a lot. Have remembered that posting a thread to let off steam needs to be clearly marked as such otherwise advice and judging starts.

I've been weirdy and light headed all day, had a nosebleed earlier too so guessing my iron is a bit of a mess. Will send DH to the shop in a bit of orange juice to take some spa tone.

Plus side of the wee bed child means that I have nice fresh bedding for tonight which was desperately needed. I do feel mean though - when he first got in our bed he said his legs were aching (tis a family thing, not growing pains, comes normally after hot day turns to damp night - I still get it). I thought he was just playing up for calpol (worked out a few weeks ago that aching legs = calpol) so just left him to settle as my legs were fine... he only wets the bed when he is poorly or hurting . I did give him the calpol before I discovered the wet bed

Oh name changed too

You probably didn't need any of that essay.

I can't remember much about TTW - want to re-read but have a whole stack of books to work through.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 22/08/2009 18:31

Found a hotel where for £99 you get dinner, bed breakfast, lunch, access to spa, robe, slippers and 2 treatments!!!!!!!!!

ThisIsWhyYouWereToldNotTo · 22/08/2009 19:54

Yup tis Me, Flame/Norks etc

Have just had the spatone. It normally kicks in by the next day.

Nope, no swollen joints or anything. We've never quite worked out what it is - my mum has it too (oddly my sister doesn't). It isn't growing pains because I still get it now, it doesn't appear to be any food deficiency or anything. Kicked in for both of mine at about this age. Heat (baths, hot water bottles etc) and paracetamol are about the only help. Thankfully though where I get it too I know the first niggles and tend to dose them up before bed on the nights I feel it coming.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/08/2009 07:06

I was ranting about DS and his little git-ness. I started with support, ended being told that yes, yes indeed I am a bad mother

Tried to get up at half 9 (sick of wasting days when DH is off), but didn't quite manage it.
