Morning all I really must put some effort in today, didn't do alot yesterday (apart from the usual childcare etc!!) and I will be out tomorrow.

Ali I wish I had been drinking, then at least I would have had a excuse for that terrible spelling!!

PBM and Alice I remember when DH had a knee op and was unable to work for 8 weeks, we put in a claim and he was actually back to work before he had any money through, so we had the money when we really needed it. If we had sat outside the benefits office with a scuffy dog and a bottle of cider we would have had a cheque we could of cashed at the post office , there is something really wrong with the system!!

JKS I don't mind spiders as long as they to don't touch me

JKS sorry, what was happening with DS? I must have missed that post

Why is housework so damn tedious?! I didn't get my floors done yesterday, so planned on doing them today. JustKeepSwimming · 18/08/2009 15:09

Not sure what i said when, but ds2 has epilepsy, we are currently testing drug number 3 with no success with any of them so far. it's looking like surgery is the best option. the HV wanted to get his developmental problems on record. he's lost lots of skills and hasn't learnt lots of stuff he should have by now. the summary is, at 18months old he's equivalent to an 8month old who can walk.

all v depressing tbh.

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 15:16

sorry to hear that. I knew about the epilepsy but i didn't know he definitely needed surgery. Last time i spoke to you about it, you were waiting on the opinion of a rather unhelpful dr.

Big hugs to you all. You sound like you are coping brilliantly If you ever want to just offload, i am happy to listen.

claireybee · 18/08/2009 15:24

Am in a really bad mood today (think it's PMT), had a stupid argument with dh yesterday that's still hanging over today and ds tipped a packet of cereal all over the floor and then put a whole roll of toilet paper down the loo and blocked it and it overflowed.

DD was being naughty as well (I think they've picked up on my mood) so she is sat on the chair in her room and I've put ds in the travel cot in his for 10 minutes to give me some space to clear my head

JKS it must be so hard to cope with

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 15:29

Clairy go and have a calming cup of tea. You look like you have done loads already

I should be up at the horses right now, but DD banged her head quite hard and i want to keep an eye on her for an hour or so. She is tired which doesn't really help. Think i may go and get dinner prepared so that everything is done when we get back from horses later.

I gave in after less than 5 mins because he was sobbing and saying "mummy where you gone". I need to do something about this PMT though, every month it seems to get worse and I turn more psychotic!

Alice they always seem to bang their heads when they are already tired and then you can't tell if the are concussed or just wanting to sleep normally!

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 16:07

I am the same! I notice the PMT creeping in about 2 weeks before and by about the day before i am ready to kill someone!

JustKeepSwimming · 18/08/2009 16:22

Thanks everyone, maybe if i just every now and then say 'OFFLOAD!' you can just take it as read that i'm fed up with it all!!

My pmt varies but can be bad, isn't there EPO or St Johns Wort (i forget which) that's meant to help? never tried them.

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 16:33

I have decided that i desperately hate housework.

I like the idea of it, having a clean and tidy house that looks beautiful, do a bit of polishing etc However, the sheer tediousness of it makes me want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the beginning of last week, everywhere was tidy, apart from our bedroom, and even that wasn't too bad. Now, i have piles of washing all over the house, toys are everywhere, my floors are filthy and AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

Can someone come and tell me to do a job? Any job "Alice, sort the washing pile out" "Alice Sweep the kitchen" "Alice Put some clothes away" etc - purlease (don't make me beg) You know, if you were my boss (understand how creepy that sounds, but i assure you i do not get any kicks out of this)

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/08/2009 16:35

JKS that would work - then we can all offer virtual chocolate/wine/gin/valium (delete as required).

Alice/Clairey - I find the best thing for PMT is exercise. I need to take my own advice now that my periods are back as I've always suffered badly with PMT and I don't want to take it out on DS.

Right I have hung the washing out - now I need to do ironing. Please may I have a kick up the arse?

OP posts:
JustKeepSwimming · 18/08/2009 16:36

Right Alice, pick a job, any job and go and do it then come back and say you've done it.

i've been sat here mucking about for ages, i'm now going to tackle and sort and clean the fridge door - and i'm talking inside it, lol!

back soon...

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/08/2009 16:38

Alice - go and sort the washing out. I find it very comforting to look at a basket of clean, folded clothes. It reminds me of home and for some bizarre reason encourages me to do other tidying!

OP posts:
NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 16:38

But i don't want to choose, as i end up flitting from one job to another like some crazed moth and not finsh any of them

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 16:39

Thanks Ali, will go and sort out washing

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 16:45

Ok, so i have loaded up the washing basket and taken it upstairs, leaving only the ironing left in the kitchen.

What next?
