Alice I'm the same, I think part of the problem is that when it looks nice I do just the bare minimum for a few days and things mount up again. (ps your name makes me think of the my naughty little sister books )

JKS will look out for offload warnings

Alibaba I went for a biggish walk (2.5 miles)this morning to my friends house to drop off pressie, then to the supermarket and to post office and thought it would help but I was so tired after less than half way-usually I can walk for miles without getting tired like that. Was very strange.

Am going to cook dinner now...then maybe I'll have the energy to tackle the washing while it's in the oven

NaughtyAlice · 18/08/2009 17:14

Done the ironing and got the clean washing off the line.

Waiting for DH so we can all go up to the horses together.

Planning on having a blitz tomorrow. We usually go to stay and play on wednesday mornings, but would rather not take her this week after being poorly. Ideal opportunity to get stuff done.

Does anyone want to hassle join me?

JustKeepSwimming · 18/08/2009 17:22

JKS - bad news about your LO. Sorry to hear that. Surgery sounds scary too!

Clairy - sounds like you've had a nightmare morning. They do it on purpose when you have PMT I'm sure.

Alice - you are living up to your name today and trying to get out of jobs tut tut . I expect a minimum of washing and ironing done by 6.30pm

PMT sufferers I find vit B complex to help. Take it early in the day as it can keep you awake at night.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/08/2009 18:18

Wednesday has become my blitz day so I will be joining you

Clairey - have a sit down and a cake or something while the dinner is cooking

JKS - yay for fridge cleaning, I always feel very virtuous when I do mine

I have started the dinner, pegged out more washing and got some of it in - and done half a basket of ironing. DS ate some handfuls of sand from his sandpit while I was hanging the washing - concrete poo here we come!!!

HMHB Ooh I hated that feeling. The other one I hated was when a foot used to come out right under my ribs and feel like it was scraping along them

Alice I think I need to join you in a blitz. No idea where to start though. Looking around getting rid of all our possessions would be a good start

Maybe I should forget cleaning and just get everything tidied away and decluttered...

Oh and I sorted all the washing yesterday evening [proud]. Just need to put the dc's away (they were in bed before I'd finished). Folded all my towels and sheets properly again too so airing cupboard is still neat.

NaughtyAlice · 19/08/2009 11:31

Hey clairy

Why not put all childrens clothes away now. Congratulations on getting on top of the laundry! That is something i can only dream of!

If you have any boxes (cardboard/plastic/wine boxes) I find that is quite good a good way of sorting through things. Otherwise i end up with piles of stuff that then get moved and completely renders the declutter totally pointless.
Do a Keep box, Throw away box, and a charity/recycling box. Aim to fill all 3 and that could be a good start, also Kim and Aggie recommend starting at the top and working your way down.

Have ground to a bit of a halt, will hang the second load of washing out in a minute and when DD is in her chair for lunch will put all toys away.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 19/08/2009 11:48

I have exercised and now I'm knackered! Going to mop the floor and then go and have a shower.

Clairey I think tidying and cleaning have to be tackled seperately, a total nightmare otherwise!!

PlumBumMum · 19/08/2009 12:12

Hi all

Have just showered ds & dd2, dd1 got a stand up wash shes not allowed any water splashing in her eye so safer to give her a quick wash

CWWM & Smallblessings Are you ok?

I found my PMT is worse if I'm a little bit more down that particular month!

reminds me boil mooncup

TO DO
empty washing machine & hang up
put on another wash
empty dishwasher
load dishwasher again
clean tidy kitchen
brush kitchen floor
Declutter & dust Hall Table
set alarms on phone for dd1s drops
Iron clean washng
put away clean washing
decide whats for dinner
ring school (if its open)

that will do for them

claireybee · 19/08/2009 12:18

I will do that Alice, as soon as I get off my arse

I have done 3 loads of washing this morning though so not completely fruitless

PBM I think we are quite close in our cycles, we always seem to have mooncups to sterilise at around the same time!

So, my tasks for this afternoon:
Put away dc's clothes
Tidy/declutter
Maybe hoover and dust?
