I used your title Alice seeing as the rest of us were to slatternly to even think of anything!!!

claireybee · 07/08/2009 14:37

Whyyyyy does my landlady do this to me??? First the boiler man was her son in law, now the handyman has just told dh that he is her ex husband and that this used to be his house! And that they are still very good friends.

Thank god for slatterns! Pre slatterns my house was truly awful, now it usually just needs a quick tidy up to look passable (though nowhere near immaculate!)

alicecrail · 07/08/2009 14:53

Thats sneaky! I'm sure she just does it because they are cheaper/knows they will do a proper job etc, but i would feel paranoid.

claireybee · 07/08/2009 14:54

I just know they will report back, I mean if it was my house I'd ask how the tenants were keeping it.

We had a great time at the beach and by the look of the bath we brought most of the beach back with us

Ali I really want a nice cold beer now, I can't have any crisps though, I ate nearly a whole pack of Pringles at the beach.

Alice I get all cross for no reason just before AF visits, DH and my older DSs do everything they can to avoid me avoid winding me up!!

PBM YANBU, you're right your parents timing is awful.

DH has a day of DIY planned for tomorrow, we are both fed up with the kitchen being half finished, so I plan to get on with clutter clearing in my older DSs room, they seem to be warming to the idea of selling some stuff at the car boot sale.

I am going for a nice soak in the bath, then I will apply eye cream and moisturise my feet, they are looking abit

Enjoy your evening everyone. I will be back tomorrow bright and early with a list.

JustKeepSwimming · 07/08/2009 20:27

Evening all, I think I might join those of you with drinks in a drink,
bacardi & coke is my drink of choice, yum

I think tomorrow I will get stuck into that long list I gave myself the other day and didn't get around to much of it

The house isn't too bad so if I get stuck in tomorrow it should be gleaming!

Thank you all, dh rang my mum and had a few words with her, but he said she just kept saying "I know, I know",
Although (watch for the swell of PBM's head) it was lovely when he said I was the nicest/best person ever and never let anyone say anything bad about anybody,
and I'm getting treated so badly for sticking up for myself, but he was fustrated with the I know response's from her!

SB How are you tonight? was thinking of you tonight, I'm sure your situation with your family dosen't help, just for you!

Clairey mean't to say JKS was right too, I was one of those all singing dancing, playdoh, painting, baking mums with dd1 and used to be jealous of all the mums whose children would run off and entertain themselve at babygroup, dd1 is still very clingy whereas the other 2 are definitely far more independant and it is much better for them!
