Hi! Is anyone else looking for a tidying buddy? I think I would really appreciate some company while I work through unpacking and tidying away our house! We have just moved and its a terrible tip.... I am on my own with my DC and so its just me who has to get on with the tidying. Im not very well at the mo so a bit low in energy... so I think I need to give myself some boosting motivation. SOO... if you don't mind I will make a start and plod on. Anyone fancy joining me and we can cheer each other on?

So.... two piles are now sorted through and piled up either in storage boxes or ready to put away.... Im going to creep Round and try and put away some of it...so I can eventually have my bed clear of it all and lie down on it again!! However that will have been a useful way of applying insomnia! SO...... new task... clear bed!

@DaisyNGO

Life "Trying pick myself up out of the covid inertia hole…"

Me too. Also winter, gah, I should go for a walk...

Im glad it is not only me!! @DaisyNGO... I really know what you mean. I have over the past 2 years lost my mojo completely.. However, new job, time pressure and the desire to follow my own interests in spite of this is beginning to get me out of the hole... or at least I feel I am just sticking the tip of my nose over the edge and beginning to emerge.

However, today I am beginning quite well.. I feel once I have sorted out all this unpacking things will get better, So just now I managed to get it all sorted into plastic boxes which I am. going to put away next. Ive put some under the bed... there are more to go in the other room .... I think the next aim will be to clear the centre of the floor of the room so I can get to the cupboard.... perhaps to put away all my cloths in the cupboard first then clear what looks like a chair laden high with blankets..... . just have a short rest first

Hmm.. well it looks like its just me on my own here! Never mind! Praps someone will join me! I am going to try and be more efficient today. Each week I have the same routine... 3 days on.... and 4 off.... with work for 7 days to do in those 4 and then there is the housework. I want to somehow organise my time much much better. I find I dont get the essentials for the following week done on days 1 &2 and then Im still doing them on the Sunday night. So my job today is to try and identify those essentials and to get them sorted at the start of the weekend. SO....what are the essentials:

return all the stuff Ive bought that doesnt fit and needs returning.
Basic tidy: Kitchen (sort out food and the fridge)
Bathroom
Sitting room
Dining room
Both the bedrooms
Sort out holiday application
sort out the supper for tonight
Make a plan for meals for the coming week.
Sort out the back yard and all the stuff there
Sort out the mirror and hang up (so doesn't get broken)
