Quootie i should have explained that they weren't all living at home at same time Dp 3rd youngest and eldest is over 20 yrs older than him.Still a lot though imo.He also has 5 half brothers on his dads side so it's 22 in total ,i thought he was having me on until i started meeting them all.Very strict irish catholic his mum ,big families are common to both.I'm one of 2 so very different backgrounds.

ludaloo · 16/11/2006 14:11

(how does dh manage it in about 2 seconds flat with 1 match and a few sticks of wood??????

squatchette · 16/11/2006 14:19

Everyone-Hope you don't mind me asking a nosey question but where abouts in the country does everyone live?I'm in Preston Lancashire (north west).Just interested to know.
I would have liked to go to meet up in London but too far for me at moment and can't leave Dp for long with DD2 as he panicks if her tracheostomy gets blocked and he has to change it.Am planning to go to a local meet up with children next month though.

tortoise · 16/11/2006 14:30

I'm in Somerset. No chance of me going to any meets unless children are invited. I have no-one who can look after mine!

Quootiepie · 16/11/2006 14:34

Hi everyone.

Done naff all today. DD went swimming and we took some books back to library. Had a little look at xmas trees in shops (she loves the sparkly ones ) and then she fell asleep on me so i have just eased myself out and left her on sofa.

Is everyone ok?

Essex. I'm leaving the big ones with dp, taking ds to my friend in London and staying the night with her. He panics and calls me home if ds wakes up!(He's bf and dp immediately assumes he's starving)

I've only met with my post natal thread before (once pre birth and once with babies/siblings)

tortoise · 16/11/2006 14:42

Someone shout at me please? I don't want to waste another day sat at the PC!
I just don't have the motivation to do anything!

satinshoes · 16/11/2006 14:47

if anyone cant be bothered with housework why not look for some old shoes for this . That way, you can declutter and be helpful at the same time. I've told DH we will find a pair each and talke them ingo Clarks over the weekend

Quootiepie · 16/11/2006 14:52

Tort...take 15 mintues, and GO! see how much you can get done... set a timer

EllieHsMum · 16/11/2006 14:54

Thanks ludaloo & squatchette I normally start well at the beginning of the day with great intentions & then nothing much more gets done.
tortoise Glad you like our nickname my husband named Ellie madamepeepee when she was first born. Everytime he changed/took off her nappie she would do pees & I added the peardrop onto the end. Her tummy looked pear shaped when she was no more than a 2 weeks old & we where convinced she was eating too much & would explode. We even told the hv.

tortoise · 16/11/2006 14:54

Quootiepie · 16/11/2006 14:56

Afternoon all. I have done nothing today. I got Ds2 ready for school and that it. I did not have a good night with DS1. Why are colds and flu always worse at night?

HNtree is going home tonight and coming back tomorrow afternoon for DD`s birthday. She is getting DS2 from school now. She said she had someone coming out tomorrow morning and needs to be at home.

I am going to put the washing away as I need the baskets. Then I will come back and have a read with MN.

squatchette · 16/11/2006 15:11

Satin shoes just had a quick look at the link .This may sound daft but do the shoes need to match? What i mean is are they to be worn or is it a recycling project like with mobile phones etc. It's just that i have so many odd shoes from peeps losing one when out don't know why i haven't thrown them tbh.Just yesterday we got on bus set off and dd2 shouted where's my boot. She'd kicked it off at bus stop grrr they were nice long suede ones too.

satinshoes · 16/11/2006 15:13

hi squatchette - unfortunately the shoes have to be a pair. here are the do's and donts of giving
