batinshoes · 08/10/2006 14:40

OMG, m-i-l said the house was looking 'very tidy' when she got here!

TortUREoiseChamber · 08/10/2006 14:42

Ooooh Bat thats good.
No-one would say that here at the moment!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 08/10/2006 14:42

YAY Batinshoes!!!

See.... means things are looking good.

My bro and SIL praised me on my clean carpets the other day and it made my day!

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 08/10/2006 14:42

Off I go to do the kitchen

TortUREoiseChamber · 08/10/2006 14:52

Another surface cleaned.
Really need to do the front room! Kitchen is easier though.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 08/10/2006 14:55

We are all doing FABBO!

I actually find my living room easier - kitchen bugs the hell out of me!!!

TortUREoiseChamber · 08/10/2006 15:01

But at least the kitchen stays tidy as long as i keep up with the dishwasher and wiping surfaces.
Front room gets tidied and then in 2 seconds flat the whirlwind DD's distroy it!
Enough talking,i will do 15 mins now.

Bucketsofbloodydinosaurs · 08/10/2006 15:24

Well done Tinshoes. Now cut and paste the words "m-i-l said the house was looking 'very tidy' " , put it in a pretty colourful big font, print off and stick it on your fridge.

Beccarolloveragain · 08/10/2006 15:42

Q - which silly sticky flooring are you using? Im about to have a go with the stick on tiles made to look like black slate floor

TortUREoiseChamber · 08/10/2006 16:29

Done a little tidy around desk!
I was so keen to tidy this morning now i can't be bothered!

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 08/10/2006 16:30

Tea is in the oven..... kitchen looks presentable but is still a work in progress.

other than toys, living room is still tidy and clean

upstairs is still shiny!

I CAN DO THIS! I WILL NOT GO BACK TO MY OLD WAYS!

batinshoes · 08/10/2006 16:30

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 08/10/2006 17:12

Hi all. I am not having a great day. All I have done is feed the DC and done the dishwasher. Tea is cooking. Dc are bathed and watching TV/ playing waiting for tea to be ready.

I got woke up at 6am this am with the police knocking at my door. XP1 got a beating last night and he said it was XP2 and that XP2 was staying with me. So after they searched the place and could not find XP2 (which they would not anyway!)They said about XP1 getting the beating and were asking loads of Questions about XP2. They are coming out again tomorrow to make a statement. DSs wont be here then.
I have not seen or heard from XP2 since last January so I don't know how/why/ what I can tell them. I bet XP1 got a beating either because he owns money, or hes pissed someone off. ( hes great at doing that)I could give the police a long list of people wanting to have a go at him. The only thing that stops them is that he would the phone the police and they would be in the shit for doing it. (His dam mother would lie for him too) I would love to meet the person that did give him a beating and buy them a few drinks lol
I will tidy the lounge when DC are in bed and clean the work tops and kitchen then too.I better do something today or I will have it all to do in the morning

QueenQuootieSpookypieBee · 08/10/2006 17:14

awww, Hazlenut. XPs are horrid... horiid horrid horrid. Just give livinroom 5 minute rescue, same with kitchen. Ive done bugger all today. Home blessing hour tomorrow so we can all get a good bit done

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 08/10/2006 17:29

Q my xp1 is. Hes not seen his DSs for I think its 4 weeks now, He has just not bothered and has even tried to say that I have stopped him.
The Police are coming out about 12 (ish tomorrow so I should be able to do the house blessing before they get here

I like the new name btw

I better go and get this tea dished up DS2 is going to try and eat me otherwise

squatchette · 08/10/2006 19:09

HI anyone about?
I HAVE FINALY TACKLED THE PLAYROOM !Not finished yet but it's all picked up toys organised ,craft stuff in new locked box +put upstairs just to be certain the little gremlins don't get it.
I was going to set my timer but it was way more than a 15 min task so i put Anthea on Teleport to inspire me as i worked. All i have to do now is clean in there tomorrow. It took me an hour and 15 mins so thought i'd leave cleaning for then.

Kitchen is clean and i made the dinner at same time as lunch but forgot to turn it on as babes were 'helping' me.Went to give it a stir after playroom and realised what i'd done.Living room still looks o.k just needs picking up once girls gone to bed and quick hoover round.

JASM well done i can't wait for the day that my house is all clean at the same time i'm aiming for christmas.

I've just made a terrible realisation, we are having central heating fitted in a couple of weeks and they will see EVERY room on the same day OMG OMG OMG .I actualy feel sickened at the thought of the middle empty (but full of junk) bedroom.Breathe, babysteps babysteps right .I'm going to make a plan and stick to it.

TortUREoiseChamber · 08/10/2006 19:28

Oh dear HN.Whats your xp1 up to!

squatchette Well done. You have had a good day.
Wish I could say the same fo me! I have to tidy up the front room in a minute because CAFCASS woman coming at 10am!

squatchette · 08/10/2006 19:39

Hi TORT,
Why do officials always seem to want to come first thing in the morning? It's like they hope to catch you out or something.Or is that my guilty conscience talking.
I hope it goes really well for you just get up a little earlier than the kids do your before bed routine and by the time she comes you'll be cool calm and collected.
It must be hard work living so far from the shops is it a village you live in?I grew up in a small village about 7 miles from the main town and a good few miles from any supermarkets but we had cars so not the same.On the other hand there's lots of good things about living out of the way lack of crime pollution the nice scenery etc.Do you like it?

Beccarolloveragain · 08/10/2006 19:40

Can you advise me on this please

tiles

squatchette · 08/10/2006 19:47

Not 100 % clear what it looks like can't visualise it very well but as a general rule white makes things recede and creates the illusion of space if you want the boxed in pipes to blend in with the wall go for white down to the floor .Black would probably have the opposite effect and make the area of floor appear smaller .

TortUREoiseChamber · 08/10/2006 20:06

Thanks squatchette. I will of course be on MN once she has gone!
Im in a small town. Its lovely and quiet and i do like it but sometimes the walk gets too much when its raining or like today when i only need bread!
Nearest good supermarket is about 15 miles away and immpossible to do a proper shop to carry home on the bus!!
