Shame Dome - I read about your leg on the other thread.
Have you seen anyone about it yet?

Shazronnie - it sounds like you're doing pretty well to me.
The menu planning sounds like a FAB idea.
Was that a Baby Step or are you all just sooooo advanced now and doing exciting things??!!

singersgirl · 09/09/2006 19:00

I have skipped out a few days of baby steps because I wasn't going to write an inspirational page in my control journal. I did start one, but feel a bit silly.

Downstairs is surprisingly good and I am on top of the laundry (not literally, and sadly not the bits that need ironing). This afternoon I did 15 minutes of weeding and hacking back ivy.

It is much easier when DH is out as he is very messy. I can contain the boys' mess in their rooms (though will deal with them next week)...

Have a lovely Sunday everyone! We are going to lunch at my sister's and then to the zoo, so not much time for flying.

BarefootJasnem · 09/09/2006 19:16

trinity's new name.

I've pretty much finished the kitchen now. I even cleaned the cupboard doors today. I'm leaving the drawer fronts for next month.
Lounge is reasonably tidy, and easier to keep that way.
Kids room is a disaster area, despite me cleaning and sorting a week ago.
Bathroom is so small I'm not sure how I'm going to spend a week on it next week.

Today I filled a shoe box with baby socks, and one with shoes, which are on top of the drawers, freeing up space inside for clothesw. Not perfect, but looks better than the pile of unfolded stuff that was there. I need another box for bibs, then it won't be too bad.

I've changed the sheets and hoovered, too. Not bad seeing as I took the dds out all afternoon.
I'm having tomorrow off.

See you all Monday.

I havent seen anyone about the leg, it is actually much better than it was in the night. Just really sore now and not excruciating so thats good.

Thought I may as well post the after photos of the playroom as that is what caused the bloody injury dragging the storage unit to its new place!

Worth the pain?

domestickler · 09/09/2006 20:27

oops wrong link!

FLYed playroom

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 09/09/2006 20:30

Spotless well doen. Now how long before its desroyed again?

I feel crap!Nose still runny even after taking 3 paracetamols!Need to unload and load dishwasher or DD's won't have clean bottles for their morning milk but everytime i bend over my nose drips!(tmi!)

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 09/09/2006 20:31

*done

hazelnuts · 09/09/2006 20:39

Hiya FLYers. just got the tribe to bed well 30 minutes ago. I have not been flying tho, as xp1 has made more trouble again! Which as put me on a low I have got the beginner babysteps printed up now so Im having a good read. Ok Im a few days behind, but I`m sure I will catch up

domestickler · 09/09/2006 20:40

Well.....IM SICK SICK SICK of the cycle of tidy up - destroy - tidy up - destroy - tidy up blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

SOOOO I was very very very brave and completely ruthless with stuff and only kept the things that they love. so HOPEFULLY even when they destroy it it wont be as hard to sort out.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 09/09/2006 20:47

Know exactly what you mean dome.Tidy up and 2 mins later its pulled out again! I need to teach them better to tidy up when finished!
DS's are the worst.Just drop rubbish where ever they are.Sweet wrappers just left on the floor. They were fine until they had to live with xp1.(i know my fault)

BarefootJasnem · 09/09/2006 20:48

I'm so impressed domestickler. Well done you. How did you finish it after you hurt your leg?
I have the same problem with my dds (but they have to pick their way through it tpogo to bed as we don't have a play room). Did you decide if they love the stuff enough to keep or did they? I tried letting mine decide, and one dd is willing to get rid of almost everything, but the other is a real hoarder, and we ended up only getting rid of a few bags full. Now its trashed again

hazel- we are all at different stages. Just start each day where you are and it gets better almost on its own.

hazelnuts · 09/09/2006 20:56

Hi BarefootJasnem, I always do the shinning of the sink, so thats one bit I dont have to worry with I hate a dirty sink and drainer. I probably over clean it. I will get there in the end. Its a good read so far

DontlookatmeImshy · 09/09/2006 20:57

ooooooooooo dh was so impressed with sparkley clean kitchen he has said he will do loads of meals/cooking as long as it stays like that. He admitted he likes cooking but is usually put off by having to findhis way through a huge pile of washing up before he can start.

So he cooks, and I wash up, andsince we have a dishwasher I get the best side of the bargain

AmandaP · 09/09/2006 21:10

Re the kids' stuff, I was really really naughty and went through their bedrooms once they went back to school on Wednesday. I got rid of a rubbish sack full of stuff whereas if they had been around, there would have been loads of "oh mummy, thank you for finding that doll/soldier/cd/book/jigsaw etc etc etc, i've been looking for that for ages, it's my favourite" ! I didn't throw anything that I was doubtful about, just the stuff they have never played with, nor probably ever will. I reckoned the local charity shops could put them to better use.

(I'll probably figure in the kids' therapy sessions when they are 18 "well, it all started when mummy threw away my favourite doll/soldier/cd/book/jigsaw etc etc etc without asking me......")

shazronnieWEARINGSHOES · 09/09/2006 21:23

amandap - that was very crafty!
great new name trinity!

Domestickler - that playroom looks great now; hope your leg feels better soon

Coggy - re menus - FL tells us to clean fridge on wednesday, then plan menus. I think it is mentioned in babysteps. I have only done it for 2 weeks, but it seems to be a good idea. (we had cola chicken tonight, recipe from another thread!)

mummy2ashton · 09/09/2006 21:26

hiya! sorry don't have time to catch up on this thread! i've been out all day visiting a friend, left dp in charge of ds and the house for a day and it was a tip when i got home!! i think tomorrow will be a busy day housework wise! at least i have my control journal to keep me on track!

hope everyone is flying well!

mummy2ashton · 09/09/2006 21:27

mummy2ashton · 09/09/2006 21:36

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 09/09/2006 21:37

shazronnieWEARINGSHOES · 09/09/2006 21:40

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 09/09/2006 21:43

mummy2ashton · 09/09/2006 21:47
