Thankyou - thats better

I keep wandering in to look at it

singersgirl · 10/09/2006 11:00

Good work in your playroom Domestickler! It looks fantastic. I need to do that in DS1's room.

IvortheEngine · 10/09/2006 11:02

I want to join in but feel like such a newbie. (I haven't even joined Flylady yet but will later when dh is here to help me.) Can I request a new thread with a link to this one, please? I promise I'll join in then as I like this type of thread (I've been on house cleaning 15 mins threads and a life coaching one, previously.)

The playroom photos are brill and have prompted this post. I want my home to look like that, too! There'll be a lot of hard work needed first, though, but that's okay.

domestickler · 10/09/2006 11:06

OOoooohhhh Im SO pleased with the feedback on my playroom. Isnt FLYlady but especially THIS THREAD brilliant?

I had a close, close friend come round last night who is BO (born organised as Flylady says) and have spoken to her at length for YEARS about how hard I find it to keep on top of my housework.

She came in and actually said "Wow, whoa, wow, whoa, your putting me to shame! Ive never seen the house so tidy."

The best thing? I hurt my leg on Friday night so did VERY little yesterday so its not like I had to scurry around desperately cleaning, it was already done!

damewashalot · 10/09/2006 11:06

There will be a new thread in the morning, new week new zone, new thread so join in I am going to try and get going this week have been stuck on baby step 8 for over a week

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2006 11:12

Playroom looks amazing!!!

Yesterday morning, my house looked so good - my DD even made my bed for me ... Then we had an afternoon of a very very very hurried pirate costume making session for a fancy dress party (made a waistcoat - WITH lining) between 2pm and 5pm (including buying fabric & pattern etc, and learning to work new sewing machine)... by the time we were finished, it was time to leave, got back very late, and had much more important things on my mind than sink shining - but now it looks like hell

IvortheEngine · 10/09/2006 11:41

Thanks for your encouragement, damewashalot. I work 4 days a week so won't be able to join in much until Friday which is currently my day off. I'll start off by joining Flylady later today and by clicking on the Good Housekeeping topic so that it stays coloured for a few days in the Top 200 active convos which is how I access MN whenever I pop on. When I spot the new thread, I'll add it to my watched threads, too.

Hi FLYers.
Im just about here.Feeling crap!

Have had a tidy up in the kitchen this morning and shined my sink.

Girls are at their dads today for their 3 hour contact.Im picking them up at 2.30 to go to a friends ds's birthday.i really don't feel upto it and don't want to spread germs so i will sit outside so the girls get some fun!

Put some washing out.Still need to put the piles of it away.

tortoisesdonotwearshoes · 10/09/2006 13:16

Ive managed 10 mins of putting clothes away! Didn't do many in that time but over time it will help i know!!
Couldn't cope with more than that! Tablets not working and ive been naughty taking 3 paracetamols at a time!

BarefootJasnem · 10/09/2006 13:55

Can you take ibuprofen as well, much better than a paracetamol od if you can.
Hope you feel batter soon.

Please join us Ivortheengine - all welcome here! This is not a clique!!

Mummyhill - i am impressed you have flattened Mount washmore. I put laundry on every day as per instructions, so how come i never get to a day when I say "Flylady i can't do a load today - my basket is empty?!"

Got to go; I smell nappy changing duties!!

oh no RR!!!!! keep an eye on the pie and get anothertimer quick smart!

cheers for the link shaz!

mummy2ashton · 10/09/2006 16:06

just been looking through the fly lady website and found that in someplaces fly lady says to dust bedroom every day, and other places it says to dust bedroom once a week. and then it says you are only supposed to dust it when you are in bedroom zone, or during the home blessing hour. im a bit confused at the conflicting instructions sometimes! (then it doesn't take much to confuse me)

hazelnuts · 10/09/2006 17:06

Hi all. Not done much FLYing to day as Ive been round to my step mums for lunch today. Little uns gave her her Nanna cards. We had great fun last week making them I have got dinner cooking. Just thought I would say Hi. mummy2ashton I was thinking the same thing , when I was looking through it all, theres so much to take in though. Better get my tribe in the bath before dinner. The school run starts again tomorrow

coggy · 10/09/2006 17:26

RR...impressed by the way that you subtly dropped in the fact that you had baked an apple pie!!!!!

Are the wings lost forever???!!!!!
How on earth will you get round your weekly home blessing tomorrow without your timer???!!!

Thanks for thast cola chicken recipe...I am going to habve a look at it right now...............
