Hi all,

Thought I'd pop in and see how you all are.
We could be in for some heavy rain today/tomorrow. Some parts of our town got flooded last week cause we had heavy rain.

I am taking DD for her first proper haircut today at a hairdressers. I have just done it myself so far but thought it was now about time she learned "to sit still and have it done properly"

I am starting to sell some baby things now through our local newspaper. Sold a highchair yesterday. We need the money so it's good we have things we could sell.

It may be a while before I sell any art work. I decided the picture I was doing wasn't "up to standard" so am now concentrating on a different one. I have had quite a long time where I just haven't had the time to concentrate on any artwork so am a little out of practice.

I wrote a big long post earlier and mumsnet ate it. Its too much poking on phone to repeat it. Back to beloved lap top tomorrow!

Didn't get out today other than school run. The weather didn't clear up so no chance of that fantastic view I love so much. I was able to enjoy my day at home, which is a plus

Shame about the weather adora. We are more or less packed and ready to go. My dad is getting stressy and my mum is nowhere near ready. Eeek!

I should be washing up & vacuuming....

I am home.

On a plus note, Twilight went bombing around the front garden in joy on our return so that felt good.

I haven't been home much this week.

What have you been up to?

Tuesday we did Toddler Roller Skate and a Children's Center activity in the afternoon (with lunch in between). Wednesday was Toddler's haircut then 4th of July celebrations at the US Air Bases. Thursday was Toddler swim and Strawberry Evening. Friday we did Toddler gymnastics & soft play. Today we watched the Olympic Torch and chased it around Scoutshire.

How was holiday, carrots?

The holiday was fab thanks Scout once the children and I got used to the fact that my parents fight about absolutely every single little thing.

The dcs did some amazing things.

I have come home and unpacked, the repacked a case for dd who is going to her other Granny's for a week. Dh is driving her down tomorrow.

You have had an action packed week too. I hope you have enjoyed it all.

I feel bad that my girls didn't get to see the torch, but all the local opportunities were at very awkward times. I might have to make a torch with them & run around the garden with it!

I have done my meal plan.

I suspect it will be days until I feel the need to eat

And yes, that is with some editing -- I didn't post all of the pictures I took either day.

Well, I got to see snowy mountains, we took DDs see Madasgar 3. Good movie. Not much snow, it's only just below the peaks.

We're nearly home and once the DDs are in bed the puppies need their dinner.

I am tired.

I am crabby.

I am fed up.

(I fear I am not good company/not nice to be around today.)

Dh improved as the evening went on but I still don't feel like he is pleased we are here.

He is driving dd to her Granny's today so it will be a long day for him (probably about 7 hours driving in total poor guy) so I don't anticipate much better today

I have begun to reclaim the house. It is messy and filthy. I have s&s the main bathroom and cleared the kitchen drainer, loaded the dw and cleaned the worktops (which I don't think were done all week). I have had a go at the cooker top but I think it will need some chemical intervention which I try to minimise.

I have also moved the clean dry laundry to the ironing pile. It has been on the airer for a week and is like cardboard

Hoovering, washing and dusting are on the menu for the day.

Thankfully, for the first day in a week I have woken feeling refreshed and have lost the heavy jointed feeling I had on holiday. Yay! I love my own bed

Do we have a lists thread? I was thinking of starting a holiday fly thread. I know the school hols aren't relevant to us all but I suspect we could all do to revive our routines a bit so please do come and join in.

carrots, no lists thread. I haven't been around or I'd have started one. But I miss my lists. I had a bit of a think this morning how I can improve my lists/feel better about my progress/lack thereof in my pit. Fingers crossed.

I have started a lists thread called summer holiday flying or something along those lines. Please come and join me and help me to figure it out.
