bessie26 · 08/07/2012 13:06

I don't get time to post lists anymore, but I am still doing mine here. DH has yet to tick anything off

carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 16:00

bessie can you get yourself some "rewards" for items ticked off the list? Don't share but tell dh you will when he has ticked something off the list Wink

Scout19075 · 08/07/2012 16:41

OMG! MrScout is clearing out a box. On his own. I didn't ask/pester/throw a wobbly.

carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 18:04

OMG!

What does he want / has he done ?

(Check your car for bumps and scrapes Wink)

My dh is home from his epic drive. Apparently dd was very quiet when he left her. FX she is ok.

Ds has helped me hang more washing and is now tucking into sausage, egg and beans.

I still don't feel hungry.

bessie26 · 08/07/2012 19:26

Shock any idea what has brought this on scout?

I am so very tired, but need to get the last few bits & pieces done for the online shop & tidy up this half bottle of Wine

carrots - it must be a bit weird for DD to go straight from one holiday to the next! (lucky thing!) - when are you going to take your tablets?

bessie26 · 08/07/2012 19:27

ah feck. I've got to prep the slow cooker for lunch tomorrow

carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 20:22

It's not the very best timing really bessie but it was all dictated by when my ddad could get the lodge he wanted and when my dmil got her holidays. It will be a quiet week for her with my dmil anyway though so she will get a rest. My dsil and her boyfriend have taken Wednesday off work to take her into Glasgow and my dmil is going to take her out one day and other than that she will be hanging around at my dmil's chilling out.

I am not sure about those tablets bessie. I keep finding excuses not to take them. Hmm

Scout I am really worried now. What do you think he has done?/What do you think he wants?

Scout19075 · 08/07/2012 20:50

I don't know.

OP posts:
bessie26 · 08/07/2012 20:59

whatever it is, let's hope it continues scout! Grin

Your Dr told you to take them carrots, so I think if you are not going to take them, then you need to go back to your Dr & discuss your reasons with him.

lunch made, sink shined, online shop finished.

carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 21:14

I know you are right bessie but I am a bit scared of them Sad

bessie26 · 08/07/2012 21:22

I would be scared of them too carrots, but he obviously thought there was a good reason for giving them to you.

Scout19075 · 08/07/2012 21:34

carrots, how did you sleep while on holiday?

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 21:53

I slept really, really badly on holiday (that is normal for me) but really, really well last night back in my own bed.

carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 21:54

My face has stopped twitching though. Smile

Scout19075 · 08/07/2012 22:41

A non-twitching face is a good thing!

Ha ha! Grin I agree whole heartedly Scout.

How is that kitchen table coming along?

I have been beading. I am getting a few more commissions (as many as I really want) so I am trying to keep things ticking along and also try out some new styles.

Scout19075 · 08/07/2012 23:15

Will attack it tomorrow with gusto, carrots. Tis very hard to do good, hard core decluttering with MrScout around. Have, however, done all of the washing up bar one pan (couldn't face it), wrapped birthday presents for Mom and Dad, printed some coloring pages of trains for Toddler, ordered a train DVD that was recommended and am about to order a Ben & Holly DVD in French (TS likes Peppa Pig in French, thanks to YouTube, but B&H is his favorite (with Peppa a close second) so am going to order it and put it away for a day when I've had enough of the current B&H DVDs we have (or a day when I need 10-20 minutes without TS under my feet).

I have made a list of all of the projects I'd like to accomplish this week. Things like "reclaim my kitchen" have been broken down into manageable sections. Each day I will do my normal daily to do list (wash dishes, laundry, toy pick up, pack for swimming, etc) and add a couple of things from my weekly to do list some are more hard core/active than others so will select a mix of both types. This way I see overall what needs to be done/I want to do and how to achieve it without overwhelming myself on any given day. I will also look at the weather and determine what days are errand days (as it's hard to hurry Toddler along in the rain when carrying boxes to donation or the post office), park days, etc. by not listing them the night before I hope I won't feel like a failure for not ticking them off my list because of the weather, Toddler tiredness, etc.

carrotsandcelery · 08/07/2012 23:18

I have always avoided the prelist for that very reason Scout. I want to always just celebrate what I have done and not beat myself up for things I didn't get round to. You can't plan every minute when children (and pets) etc are involved.

I have just realised I haven't fed the rabbits! Shock Poor things. Dd normally does it. I will have to dig out the head torch now Grin

Scout19075 · 08/07/2012 23:35

I like my "to do" list, though, as it gives me focus. And by writing things down I do the things that need to get done in advance (like Tuesday will be "pack for Wednesday's Seniors meeting" so that way I have Wednesday to pick up any last minute/don't have but need bits). And Wednesday is "pack for swimming on Thursday" so that I know it's done and when I need to leave I just grab the bag by the door and go. It reminds me of the little things that need doing.

I am a fan of lists.

OP posts:
AdoraBell · 09/07/2012 00:15

I like To Do lists in RL, they keep me on track but if things don't get crossed off I don't let it get to me.

Carrots re the sleeping pills, maybe see how you go as the twitching has stopped and talk to your GP in a couple of days. I understand how scary the concept of taking them is, but as you said before, he's a good Dr and knows what he's talking about.

Zoo how are things now?

Bessie see, I told you you needed a nap, hope the Wine helps

Scout Shock, don't say a word to Mr Scout on the subject in case he decides to stop at one box.

All is well here, just chillin - had an early dinner after walking the dogs, without incident this time, and I find myself thinking about the cheese in the fridge and open Wine on the side, can't waste it, tee hee
