Come on in and enjoy the company!

Scout19075 · 26/06/2012 12:46

Never mind!

OP posts:
CatsSleepAnywhere · 26/06/2012 12:58

I think it's the latter. Smile

Scout19075 · 26/06/2012 13:03

English teacher thinks it is the "ies" ending.

Thanks for the new thread Scout.

lovechoc · 26/06/2012 14:43

What's 'stepping'??

carrotsandcelery · 26/06/2012 14:49

Hi lovechoc! "Stepping" means doing the babysteps which are the first stage of flylady style housekeeping.

Please feel very welcome to come and join us.

I have another commission of sorts. A friend saw my preliminary efforts for the commission this morning and she has now asked for a tricky creation, personal to her. Eeeek! It is exciting but I am now wondering why I started this facebook page the week before my holiday and not the week after it?

It should only take 20 minutes or so but it is tagged on a long to do list - which I have ignored today. [idiot] Grin

AdoraBell · 26/06/2012 15:46

Arti did Natwest allow you to get our new car, I hope so.

I'd love to have a hobby like art or beading, never really had the confidence to try, but I have begun to make enquiries about horse riding. Found out that I need to speak with a chap called Ignacio, now I just need to actually speak to Ignacio.

Pirate seems to be doing okay this morning, she had the luxury of sleeping inside while my Teddy Bear was booted outSad

I've been getting things done, but I seem to finding myself on the sofa with a coffee to my left and Jaffa Cakes to my right. Must remedy that situation at onceGrin

Big dogs are just seeing off the dustmen.

AdoraBell · 26/06/2012 15:48

Your car, not our car. I'm not expecting to share it, honest!

educatingarti · 26/06/2012 17:24

Just popping in to say that yes, I have my new car!
Adora - I'd be happy to share but I think you'd need to live just a little bit closer for it to work well Grin.
It is lovely but doesn't feel "right" yet to drive. It's kind of all "floaty" compared to my old boneshaker and I've not yet quite got the feel of exactly where the gears are (what are you supposed to do with a 5th gear anyway!!). I'm also a bit Shock at having an airbag as the manual says you should be about 25 cm away from the steering wheel. If I did that I'd need leg extensions! I'm nearer to 5cm away so I hope that doesn't mean I'm going to get a nasty airbag injury if I have an accident.
On the plus side the fan doesn't groan at you unless put on highest (noisy) setting, having power steering is great and it is actually clean inside and out!!

Scout19075 · 26/06/2012 17:37

Toddler keeps taking a bite and saying "delicious!" Then the next bite is "delicious! scrumptious!" Where did I get this kid?!

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 26/06/2012 17:57

Congrats on the car Arti. I imagine it will feel a bit odd for a while. Rejoice in all the luxuries Grin

Scout you need to film him doing these things so you can look back and enjoy them again in 20 years time. He sounds "delicious" himself Grin

AdoraBell · 26/06/2012 18:40

Now I'm really having trouble breathing, not asthma style but for someone who usually has no problems in this area it feels bad. I'm beginning to wonder if having the dogs inside is affecting it, although DD1 who is prone to problems isn't suffering. I get all the hairs off the carpets each day, big dogs are still losing it because despite the cold nights it's still warm in the day, currently 20C.

I'm not going out shopping today, OH has uninvited me to lunch due to business meetings, and I can get school tights tomorrow.

Scout19075 · 26/06/2012 20:33

Gah! Outdoor cooking cancelled due to rain (one short-ish sharp burst). It's sunny now. Gah!

Andora, hope you're okay.

Where's zoo? I found these on Pinterest for her to colour in! Grin

carrotsandcelery · 26/06/2012 22:27

Bad luck with the outdoor cooking Scout Sad It was glorious all day here but it is raining now.

Adora I hope you see a doc about your chest. Make sure it doesn't turn to pneumonia or worse.

AdoraBell · 26/06/2012 23:34

I'm going to try and see Doc tomorrow, so far seems to be taking the same course as OH, all his colleagues, staff and contacts, all of DDs classmates, etc etc. must get dinner on,TTFN

Scout19075 · 27/06/2012 16:01

Boy we're a quiet bunch today.

Adora, how are you feeling?

OP posts:
carrotsandcelery · 27/06/2012 16:53

Hi everyone. I have been making something in a panic for dds music teacher. I did nt think i had much left to do but it took me ages. Then a friend phoned who lives in america so we dont chat as often as we might and that was the morning gone.

AdoraBell · 27/06/2012 17:18

Hi Scout feeling a bit better today, thanks for asking. How are your preparations for July 4th going?

It's a dismal day here, cold damp and overcast.
