I can't believe the progress he has made. It all seems to be about rebuilding his confidence after having such an awful time. The new psychologist thinks the main problem is the effect the bullying has had on him. He is like a different child as far as sleep is concerned. I expect more broken nights but he is well on the way

Same Robin obviously! Was it out along Lake road where the road becomes a dead end and you can walk out along to the little promentary beyond where the launches are?

i know if im going to have a better day tomorrow i need to organize some structure from the minute they get up but right now my brain is a fog of crapness

I think MrScout had three "Good night, Toddler" (though I think he said "Get back in your bed, Toddler") to get TS to stay. It is 90 minutes past bedtime, though, so in some ways I'm not surprised but in others I expected more of a fight.

Toddler wouldn't let me put him to bed, though. He usually doesn't if MrScout's around. MrScout is a novelty because he's not seen during the week most weeks.

The robin was along a path near the lake. Very friendly little chap!

Scout - dh has a different way to mine but the dcs know that and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

zoo lets make a plan of attack. Can you preempt dd's strike by making her Mummy for the day or similar. Let her have fun being the boss (within reason) and you can be the naughty child and see how she likes it. It would be a laugh.

zoo I have learned to enjoy the peace, although dd always wants me given a choice. Dh needs to work on that one a bit.

carrots, yes, Toddler's used to both Mommy's way and Daddy's. Once upon a time MrScout used to do bedtime alone minimum one weeknight and sometimes two (Guides & Seniors nights when I was doing both). Now it's just weekends. It's just after the rough week I had I didn't want MrScout to ruin it with his way of often staying in the room to help him settle, etc.

am hoping to be up for some baking tomorrow the smell home baking is soothing
i have some bananas that have seen better days are about to get up and leave on their own so might make ds favourite banana cake

Scout I know exactly what you mean. It all feels a bit fragile for now and you desperately need it to continue well. I didn't mean to be patronising. I know MrScout gets involved. (((hugs))) How is it going?

Zoo you could get them to play schools and let her be the teacher or something like that.

Cats idea is probably safer. Teacher wants to have good behaviour and calm pupils.

Can you mock up a blackboard? Would give the day some structure too. eg playtime - outside for 20 mins, gym, art, sums, writing, etc.

he says even YOU arent as bossy as that mummy

hope he doesnt take after his RL head-trousers so tight looks like would split if bent down,shirt that definately has never seen an iron and lets just say he is follicly challenged

Is anyone watching BGT?

MrScout is what I call a reluctant father. He never really wanted kids but had said that if he ever did have children it would be with me. I was on the fence about kids and always thought "if it happens it happens." I was 4+ months pregnant when I found out. We were both in shock and MrScout was in a state of denial for ages. He also kept saying he would like a daughter if he had to have a baby. Well, MrScout got a baby and a son at that -- and he wouldn't trade him in for the world!

Honestly, I always say they have a Mutual Admiration Society going on and I'm not part of it.

I used to actively force encourage MrScout to get involved then one day it clicked and now he just takes over. It's lovely.

My dh loves the little ones with an absolute passion and struggles a bit as they get older.

He was away for the majority of dd's first year so I was effectively a single mum, although I wasn't entirely responsible financially. I had been the major wage earner though so things were pretty tight once I went part time.

He was around for ds so they have a closer bond. As I have said before dd is like him and they clash whereas ds is like me and he loves me
